Here is my longest video so far. I wanted to show you the sequence of what you usually do in case of engine damage on Boeing 737NG. Engine Damage is different compare to Engine Failure since you have to follow the memory items... This video was made in podcast style, so I used the least editing possible for the video.
Again it is hard for me to fly this flight simulator because I fly alone and I don't have the full cockpit that I got used to. I real life of course it is much easier to fly. Also the flight simulator was lagging and I didn't know what to do with it. Maybe it was because of my joystick.
I recorded the video at night so it was a little spontaneous topic.
I am waiting for Boeing 737 PMDG model for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

I once had to shut down one engine when descending to land in Paris. Oil pressure was low, then I realised that I had to refill engine oil before departure. I was in an almost 60h session in the simulator, traveling 51000km with the same plane (777). I had no idea engine oil would decrease so quickly!

I will try this tonight! I pretty much abandoned Microsoft FS for now. I find it not as realistic as Xplane. I must recommend VR also. It really makes Xplane look very realistic!

Thanks for this video. I can understand how it’s difficult for you to control this virtual aircraft. I think it would be great idea if you tried 737 Zibo model on X-Plane 11. I don’t think that 737 PMDG model for MFS2020 will appear soon. As far as I remember they’ve promised to release it at the end of the year and I think that this model will be “raw” and it will need some time to be refined. Zibo and PMDG exist many years, they’ve been being finalized and updated many times so try to choose the best one for you. I have one question more. Will you make a video about RFE?

the reason that toga was set without you realising is because on the pmdg 737ngxu below the captain's course selector is a hidden clickspot for toga, since many simmers dont have the abillity to set a joystick button for toga and also the takeoff button on the thrust levers is not very easily accessible with the mouse, and when you tried to enable the left FD you missed a bit the spot and triggered the wrong action :)

My favorite aircrafts are Boeing 747 , Airbus a380 , Boeing 737 and Concorde. And want to fly all of them in my life at once as a captain like you .

Great Captain, medium game player..🤣🤣🤣🤣. From my point of view (no experience in big airplanes), I think that after that kind of emergency the pilot should "clik, click" disarme A/P and A/T and fly the airplane. In a real scenario, I guess you do not have time to mess with FMC . Fly, Navigate, and communicate. Love your videos. 🙌🙌🙌

Do you know the Zibo mode of the 737-800NG in X-Plane 11 ?
Fairly faithful simulation of the flight model and avionics of the 737NG according to many specialists.

According to a CNN article, the preliminary report for the Sriwijaya Air Flight 182 tragedy is stating that a thrust imbalance likely contributed to the crash (see link below).
I know that in the 737 the throttles move when the auto throttle is engaged.
Are there in flight emergencies / system problems where the auto throttle system is moving a throttle lever or both levers despite the engine(s) not producing thrust proportional to the lever movement? (That was a lot, hopefully the question made sense).
I personally really like how the throttles move in Boeing products during autothrottle vs the static throttles on the Airbus auto thrust system. It seems to provide a level of feedback.
That said I think it’s important to monitor the engine instruments in order to understand how the engines are performing vs depending on the throttle lever position.
It seems like the moving throttle levers during auto throttle could lead to a bad habit of watching the levers vs the engine instruments. It seems like it takes good habit building to always rely on the engine instruments with the moving throttle being a visual feedback.
I'll have the video about that case very soon. You can move throttles wit A/T engaged the A/T computer is OK with it....

There must me something wrong with your settings or there is a bug. The NGXU does not behave like that normally! :) It should not be that unresponsive.
PMDG NGXU is not bad, there´s just something wrong with your setup. :)
