Forgot to mention that if you mess up the light puzzle enough times, it turns into a straight line.

Yeah me and my buddy did it except the light glitched and the green line disappeared after many attempts shooting the glass fixed it but we were left with a straight line. Mission is dogshit

I wish these coop missions would be permanetly added to the game for everyone, not just vanish after an operation.

some fun bugs we discovered:
1. sometimes the green lights in the full flashed game cant be seen from one person
2. u can get stuck on the tank and wont be able to get off it then(also with 2 players at once)

I finished the puzzle just by looking towards the doors and jumping over it all
That doesn't work, but once you fail it enough it just makes it a straight path to the door

Really sad co-op has become a largely forgotten part of operations, same goes for those wave-based/bot missions. I loved the notebooks that included cool artwork and "story" elements, no matter how cheesy. Ah well, good video.
Seeing Philip still playing with Kubader after shouting out his map months ago brings a smile to my face. :)
I would love it if these missions were more often. They are actually really nice.
i'd love to see more coop missions involve with the games lore
maybe we could have 1 coop mission take place on the old nuke, taking place hours after the end of the trailer. many places will be closed off, there will be new places added to make it less like the old nuke in game. there will be blood stains on the floor and walls leading to your destination, weapons will be on the ground, covered in blood. once you reach your destination of bombsite B, you'll be ambushed by the remaining phoenix connection, who have been expecting you to show up. you'll attempt to fight your way out of the facility, and because of the dropped weapons on the ground, you'll use them for an advantage against the phoenix. and then, here's where the new places come into practice: the original route out is blocked off, so you'll be forced to go back down to bombsite and have your own separate adventure out of the place, where you'll finally make it to your evac chopper and complete the mission.
anyways, that's just my thought of how it'll playout, there's probably better ideas for it, and it's unlikely it'll be in the game, but it's fun to imagine!

Fun fact about the blind puzzle. Me and my friend found out that you can just bhop over to the other side without doing the whole thing.

1:06 When you are in the 2nd area when you are stormed by hordes of Phoenixes (1st being layout of Mirage), it is Ancient's B site. Also in the voice it is said that it should be Phoenixes' next target. I did not put much thinking to it, but now I got idea - what if Valve is trying to hint the next map which they may add to active roster?? Conspiracy with tin foil hat? Most likely, but it would be interesting, if Ancient is gonna appear appear on pro level one day.
I think that it is the best coop mission in new operations history (Shattered web and this operation)

Also the wooden trainning areas are map replicas. First one is mitage b site and also has blueprints of it and even hand drawn radar view and the second trainning are is ancient A site. They are basically saying they are trainning to attack those areas before they do
Right after that flash maze room me and my mate got stuck on that lift thingy , wouldnt move up and we were stuck cuz invisible barriers after button press, killed ourselves with incendiaries and just spectated how the frigging lift cart itself flew to the ceiling, funniest and most frustrating shit we've seen in this mission xD

The second coin can be reached very easily by parkoring abit to get it.. There is a crate or something under it, you have your teammate boost you ontop of that. Than there is this piece of plywood that is misplaced ever so slightly so you have a small surface you can stand on, so you can jump on that and jump up there suprisingly easily.

I found this oddly satisfying flashbang throwing device sort of hidden in the mirage (or maybe it was ancient) section of the map. It looked like a wheelbarrow full of flashbang grenades, so i went to check it out. And it is intractable! So you can press E on it and it launches a flashbang sort of like one of those pitching machines at batting cages. I wonder if this prop is usable? Would be a really fun addon to some custom maps :).
I just startet to play CS again (kinda when shattered web ended) and the last real operation i played was Bloodhound! I was hyped to do all the missions and collect this sweet level boosters .... turns out even there you get a maximum amount :(
I miss the old operations where you had a book and with every mission you completed you go further and had to choose a path

While I enjoy seeing CSGO content, I don't really play the game, but I just love any sort of "campaign" experience from Valve, even if short.
I did the puzzle facing the front and it made it SO much harder, because my friend would tell me a direction, and I would go the other way.
I thought the turrets were a really cool callback to Half-Life 1.
I really hope we get more of these types of coop missions.
Its good to see that Valve still makes new content. Although CS:GO has seen its better days.
U can also get the second star in “mirage” by boosting your teammate in “apps” just where the ladder is, and you can then walk all the way along the walls towards the ceiling of “kitchen”
me and my brother did do hardcore parkour to get the second coin. There is a place when you're through apartments where, if your kz skills are high enough, you can get up to the wooden ledges. Our skills aren't however so we just headboosted after the only doable jump.
"they'll never do any more with it" (hinting at ancient).. it's now in the active map pool :D

We did actually parkour our way to the 2nd coin by the chairs.
You need to jump on the two white barrels by the "mirage's mid wall"
Only then we found out you're supposed to jump down from the catwalk later on.
That light puzzle was awesome! I really hope valve makes all the coop strikes easily replayable eventually.
I love that these missions exist I just wish they did more of them, and there was some solo stuff to have fun with.

I read such comments very often and I have a serious question: why don't you just make a post on reddit or steam forums and search for people who also don't have anyone to play games together. That would be also a way to find friends in general. I'm not trying to be offensive, just curious.

Wow I was actually working on a coop map of my own with almost the same lights puzzle... I guess it's cool to see that idea realized by professionals at valve.
@3kliksphilip there was also a half life Easter egg in the mission. The big gates that you open with your teammate are labeled as h1 h2 and h3 but h3 is "under construction"
It's not just a hint to Ancient and Mirage, the layout of the training areas made out of wooden planks ARE bombsite layouts from Ancient and Mirage. Pretty near IMO ^^
2 coin: boost up on shelf then jump up the wood wall that stiks a bit out and you can then jump up the rest of the way
When you reach Ancient and try to walk on the walls be careful because at one of the ends there's a wall that you can fall through and get stuck inside a box

I play workshop maps with expert bots, why I'm here, well, I've been a long sub of 3kliks, and 2kliks, and I come back to enjoy his content from time to time
Wonder why there a picture of blueprint of Ancient and why the last week guardian is also at Ancient bombsite ?
The phoenix use that facility to train themself before jump into action, thats why you see B bombsite Mirage training there, also in the second it was Ancient bombsite
In the end of coop we need to retrieve intel from there, which is they use to stop phoenix attack at the same Ancient site in the that last week Guardian mission
I really hope valve make more of these, not just 2, these are extremely fun
Tip for the light game since me and my friend couldnt beat it, just face the joor and jump onto the exit. way faster and easier lol
I wish some of the coins were a puzzle to get and were worth something, me and my friend thought we had to run boost to get to the 2nd coin and were disappointed when we found out you find it just by running past it

this one was reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally cool although the part where you fight bots in waves on mirage and ancient replicas are a bit clunky, they did a much better job in shattered web when you fight waves of bots in the round room with many doors

You dont have to go on the walk way when getting the second coin you can do a pixelboost on the fake car. Just boost up and find the edge and walk around on the edge.

These coop missions are fun. They should bring them more often like every 1 or 2 months or so.

What happens if u collect all the coins in the both co op missions?
Me and my friend got to the coin in Mirage a bit before you were meant to. We went into aps and then right before the drop part we runboosted onto the arches. You can then strafe your way around the clipping and get the coin. You aren't meant to be there so the textures are fucky and if you fall in certain spots you're soft locked and have to restart.

You can play the missions even if you dont have the pass, you just wont get stars

The puzzle was broke when me and my friend did it so there were no green lights but we got lucky and just walked straight to the exit

BF4 has a little more complicated mini coop mission to get the Phantom Bow.
You can jump from The platform and to The door, when one of The guys are blind
Maybe the next operation valve adds the pirates, separatist and anarchist agents for Terrorists and GIGN for CTs as rewards
by the way the blind puzzle turned into a straight line to the door for me and my friend after we failed a couple attempts.. weirdly it was only visible when we shot our guns.
Easy way to finish flashbang missiin is to look towards door and jump with ctrl, misson passed...
We completely missed the first coin, but I don't feel too bad about it seeing where it was...
I wish you could play the missions afterwards
