I feel like I've been on a sailing vacation. What a crew.....they took care of all of any issues. I didn't have to do anything. Thanks for sharing. You are an impressive inspiration.
Turning on a electric kettle uses a lot of electricity, putting more load on the alternator and possibly causing the belts to slip and squeal if not tight enough
Congrats. I was in Charleston at the same marina as you guys for a while. I was there the night there was an unexpected 50 knot blow and spent the night in the laundry room because my bow line snapped. Met your girlfirend but didn't get a chance to meet you or tour the boat. You know how it is when you have a million things to do in a short period of time. I was still there when a neighboring boat on anchor came loose and ended up in your stern. You have come a long ways. You never stop learning. Impressed by your determination to press on and the knowledge you have gained. Maybe see you out there one day. Fair winds
AH! We remember you! Both of those nights were crazy! Thanks for watching and for the support! I'm sure we'll cross paths soon! We are in Nassau now heading to exumas Sunday
Hey Chase hope you are all well and life is good. I've followed your journey from the start mate and your going well bloke, The issues you've had are part of the journey You will look at them in later years and they will be nothing but experiences that Mariners need ... YOU will remember them Safe Passage on your voyages
Hey Shane! I really appreciate you following along and thanks for the kind words mate! Definitely had some challenges but they’re all just learning experiences for sure! Currently having an amazing sail through the Virgin Islands as I write this so there’s definitely some good days out here! Thanks again buddy!
I will never understand mahi is called dolphins? To me personally they look nothing alike. And supposedly they call mahi dolphin bc they look alike? I'm confused.. not dumb or uneducated.. 😢
@@juliazentner681 fish's early scientific classification in the genus dolfyn 😊 but that’s just what people call it I guess. Dorado, Dolphin, Mahi mahi … 🤷♂️ good tacos none the less!
@@juliazentner681 Hey bud in Australia i can give you why the Mahi Miahi is called a Dolphin is because they are surface feeders and they crack the surface in feed mode
Oldman is a long-time Saltwater fisherman lived on the SE Coast of Florida in WPB. always need to check your terminal tackle from the swivel to the lure. always change after a catch. as if wire or mono as it should be twice the line strength. I started fishing in the late fifties and line in the sun keeps damaging your line every time it is out in the sun. wash your reels and rod and it guides after every day of use. makes them last much much longer. WD 40 light spray if roller guides on a big rod
Congrats Chase!! And to the crew! 🥳 I can't wait to be in a similar position. Just I'll be sailing solo in the med the first few years. Unfortunately I have to postpone my plans of buying a boat due to taxes, while I found a boat I am interested in, but it is coming!! Next year will be my year!💪 Enjoy the moment! 😃
OMG Pizza!!! LOL..SOOOO glad you're moving honey!!! Looks like the Dolphins are "guiding you" LOL cute enough!! NO hot coffee in TWO days??..Sell the boat!!! LOL Sooo glad you're not traveling alone!! What an adventure honey! Just AMAZing!❤❤(Hi Charlie)
Drag on a fishing rod is a real thing you can't stop a fish immediately... go ahead and get yourself a couple good reels you will not look back after you bring in a few tuna and Mahi's! or Sailfish/marlin... the thing with the stick nose thing...lol
its a big draw on the alternator which is why the belt it squealing when you turn the kettle on, just like in a car when you turn the AC on it can happen
Just finished the video😎 we’ve been going at it hard! Sailed through the Abacos, Nassau, and exumas! Patrons will have the video in a few hours, RUclips will have it 4 pm. Should have another video next Thursday as well! Setting sail for the Dominican Republic in the morning❤️
you dont have a generator so you are 100% solar correct? what is your panel wattage and what are you getting on a weekly average for power coming in from the panels? Do you have a small portable generator like the little honda 2000 most cruisers have. Even though we have a 13kw generator once we take off for long distance, im going to carry a small honda gas one as a emergency back up because we have no solar. Eventually i do plan on getting flexible panels we can lay on the foredeck while at anchor or mooring.@@ChasingGrace21
So happy to hear..y’all should make more shorter videos..just a suggestion..love seeing them and another RUclips person took a pole and the majority was for more shorter..🙏🙏🙌🙌😎
Chef Ileisha he was on Below Deck with. Fairly sure. At end of video he said they were going to link up with Alex and Mads, also from Chase and Ileisha’s Below Deck season.
I hope the business you're taking care of in ft Lauderdale is dealing with the "wonderful" mechanic who worked on your engine. Congrats on finally making it out to sea, I've been watching since you started on TikTok!

@@ChasingGrace21 You can still record with the GoPro, just change the mode to something other than Wide. Maybe try the Linear mode, which is like a normal camera.
I think I speak for everyone when I say finally!! I’m excited to watch some sailing 👍🏻

We will miss Alan so much, he was the comic relief we needed and loved.
