- We've traveled with our 30 year old sailboat to the town of Luperon, Dominican Republic. We had an amazing few weeks here enjoying the affordable accommodations, riding motorcycles, jumping over waterfalls, hiking to blow holes, doing lots of unexpected boat work, and making friends in the amazing cruisers community. Sailing is probably the hardest way to travel to any place, but I finally settled in and enjoyed the benefits of bringing our home with us. I was thinking about your battery issue. DO you have a way to tell the individual charge of each battery? Maybe one or two might not be balanced. When you changed the wiring did you go from 12v to 24V with a buck step-down converter? Also you made me want to sail tp the DR and spend some time there.

YES 100% (for everyone wondering) I want to share her, she wants to be part of it. We share this boat together and have been together a year. She’s helped renovate the boat from the start and is here to stay. There’s some extenuating circumstances that are temporary. But you’ll all get to meet her in a few months I hope. We are very much looking forward to that day and appreciate everyone’s understanding ❤️
