Hi new friends. So glad to get over and hit all your buttons. Lock up your cars-what a welcome! Fun that fur baby got to go to the beach. Looks like everyone had a really fun time. Glad to be with you on this journey!
If you have Equalizer hitch, go to their website or Amazon and purchase the rubber pads known as Sway bracket jackets (part 95015150) ranging from $15-$20 a pair. Keep in mind that your sway control arms work best when its metal to teal friction. The addition of these pads reduces some of the friction but will eliminate much of the noise. I have these on my unit as well. Most likely, you hitch was not setup 100% correctly hence the excess noise. They all make some noise but yours is excessive. Contact Equalizer and they will send you detailed instructions on how this unit is supposed to be adjusted and setup for the height of your truck vs. trailer when perfectly level. Follow their setup check procedure before you buy these rubber pads it could be the ball height or the angle (number of washer/spacers used) is incorrect or slightly off hence the excess noise.
Hi Kaivon, We do have the equalizer and we actually did purchase the sway brackets which helped a bit. We were still encountering some significant popping and squeaking whenever it would rain. A few people recommended red tacky lube which we bought but have yet to use. We actually did a before and after video of the brackets ruclips.net/video/UGx56cf5kys/видео.html We just purchased a different truck and switched to the e4. We have only been on one trip but I’m curious to see if there’s a difference between the e2 and e4.
That sounds like hitch ball squeak. Hitch ball squeaks happen when the thin metal on the ball on the tow vehicle's hitch wears away. This is due to the regular motion and turning of the trailer coupler (the part that goes over the ball) over the hitch ball. There is a product called Reese Hitch Ball Lube. You can apply some on your hitch ball. Also, check your weight distribution bars and make sure the noise is not coming from there.
@@RelativelyRichLife It's your weight distribution hitch going through it's breaking in process. Ours did the same thing on our Lance TT as we dipped into driveways or made slow turns. It goes on for a few months. Please don't add any grease anywhere. Please read the manual. We had the Fastway brand E2 Trunnion which has a huge bolt (angle set bolt) that needs to be tightened every 100 miles or so as we drive through the break-in process. We had to squat down and look below the ball mount for that large bolt. We had to use a long handle adjustable wrench to crank that thing a little at a time. When it no longer needs tightening, the break-in process is pretty complete. I'm val adam wit on FB. Hope that helps.
I think we have a close up in our next episode, but if not we will definitely get a good shot to show our setup. Thanks so much for the feedback.👍🏽 @got2boostit2
Love the video guys, that koa is awesome location location. Summer its the place to be. Keep living the dream. Always a good day when the drone can fly. MAX_YOUR_JOURNEY (Alvin)
That intro beat is 🔥🔥🔥 We’re on the west coast and just ordered a 2185. Love the zero to hero format and the positivity! You guys have come a long way since you first started the season. Thanks for the entertaining and informative vids. If that cross country trip bug ever bites you, CA is stellar. Keep up your amazing journey and maybe out paths will cross in the future.
Thanks so much for your kind words! We are all about the positive vibes around here ✌☮ We can't wait to travel out west. Logistics is our only hang up right now with work and such. Congrats on your 2185! When do you pick it up?
@@RelativelyRichLife We pick it up around May/June - we’re actually just south of their factory in Lancaster so picking up there will be quite an experience. We have enough preparation to keep us busy, like watching your videos and keenly picking up tips. 🙏🏻🙌🏼
I own an RV repair service and that noise means the sway control hitch is doing its job. It can be annoying but its working properly. Do not put lube on it. That will defeat the purpose.
Thanks so much! Our Lance has been so great to us, especially as newbies. We joined the Lance Owners association which has been extremely helpful as well. 👍🏽
We love Cape Hatteras! We go there as often as we can. Only been to that KOA once since we purchased our RV about two years ago. We have been to multiple KOAs and never had to get a “fire permit”.

It’s definitely coming from the bars.
@@RelativelyRichLife Load leveling bars? So bar creak? Pictures or video of the hitch/bar setup?

👍🏽 thank you! Wish we could send our new rv to you. Sooo many issues😩
There are pads you can buy for your equalizer hitch , one goes on each side of your trailer under each W D Bar , they help a lot .
We actually bought these and it did help a bit!
@@RelativelyRichLife ya it’s the same ones you have , they work good .
I really love your videos and advice. We been looking at Lance trailers to possibly buy and join the club. Hope you are happy with it so far!
