Hate RV'ng in the rain too. We left Cape Disappointment in WA state Sunday for Fort Stevens in Oregon. Short drive but driving rain, wind and a 35' fifth wheel sucks just a little. Been rainy and windy here ever since we got set up.

You need to travel to South Padre Beach in Texas. It's mostly warm all year long.

We love the OBX so much! Hate the weather was bad for you guys. We rolled into Camp Hatteras on 5/30 and it was sunny & 80-90 degrees all week. Would have loved to see your rig in person, we were 3 sites down.
Love OBX, took a vacation there every year for like 20 years, been a few years since I’ve been there but will definitely be heading back. First year we went to OBX we visited the Wright Brothers, there was a tropical storm and the sand felt like needles hitting our skin. Have seen the wild horses many times and Sheila you drive that Bronco over the dunes like a pro!

We are in Macon MO headed to a Cougar 22mls rally and on the Highway today we saw a sign for Ben Franklin and said “that must be the last one around”. It was funny to hear you say that in the video today. 😂

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade sorry the weather was so bad. That right there is huge rig when I saw it in Tampa I thought about how much trouble it would be in some small towns with two lane roads to turn around. Honestly I felt bad for Todd but he handled it like a champ. Thanks for taking us along on this journey. Tell Shelia we have lighthouse on St. Simons Island and some of the other islands here. Fiddler crabs

The Outer Banks is my happy place. We had a quick day in Nags Head in April but didn’t have our RV with us. Sometimes us full timers have to take a vacation!

17:10 of course, all RVs look the same. Some are longer, some are shorter. They all have wheels and a bed and mostly have a bathroom. But, good job getting out of a tough situation in the parking lot.

Okracoke does require a ferry ride and unlikely yours would fit. It’s a cooler week on the OBX/Outer Banks. Wild horses on all the major islands, including ours.

We have a Ben Franklin here in New Hampshire. I thought that it was just a New England store. I have never seen one anywhere else that we have been.
We had them back in Kansas/Nebraska as well but they seemed to close down in the mid 90's I think.

Was there in first week of April , camp hatterras . Was brutally cold and windy !!! But love the beach there .

@@SwitchItUpLife my 2020 momentum 351m frame totally cracked on both sides , totally destroyed my MB cabinets on the way back from OBX last April .. I’m in the hands of GD repairing my rig .. I’m so lost right now without my RV ! You guys did the right thing upgrading
We were just there at camp hatteras in july. We love it in the obx. We were 2 sites down from where you were staying. Been there 3 times...always windy. Be ready for 20mph sustained and 35 gusts most days.
We grew up here in Oregon, on the Coast, we get TONS of RAIN, if we got depressed every time it is overcast & wet, we would forget what happy was. We camp, swim, picnic & everything in the Rain. There’s an old running joke for Oregonians. “ We don’t tan in the summer time, we rust”. 😂👍🏻

Beautiful area, used to go there every year the week before Labor Day. The kids and grands loved it. The rig might be a bit large for the Ocracoke Ferry! Don’t even think of putting awnings out with that wind!!

I am on my way to the HDT West Coast rally in Idaho. This trip I am on my own I have learned you really need to study the route before I leave in the morning. No wonder Planes have 2 pilots... We were at Hatteras in 1999 when they were moving the light house. Amazing they built railroad type tracks and pulled it feet a day.
