A prosecution that was eventually brought in connection with the murders was based on police operations subsequent to the closure of Operation Century.[2]Two men, Jack Arthur Whomes of Brockford, Suffolk, and Michael John Steele of Great Bentley, Colchester, were convicted of the murders on 20 January 1998 after an Old Bailey trial, and sentenced to life imprisonment.[3] The key witness was police informer Darren Nicholls from Braintree, Essex, who gave evidence against his former friends at their trial.[2] Questions were raised over the reliability of mobile phone records used to corroborate the informant's testimony. Over the last two decades the pair have unsuccessfully challenged their convictions.[4]On 25 January 2021, after a Parole Board hearing, it was announced that Jack Whomes would be released from prison on licence after serving 22 years. They will never reveal who the shooter/s is/are If that's what ppl really want to know. Tbh, I'm really more interested in how it actually went down that night. The only 2 ppl now who could tell you are steel and whomes( thats if you beleived them), but that will never happen. So out of all the interviews we have seen, and all the documentarys also we all get the pic of what prob happened, but it's really not 100% tbh. I've always believed( and yes I could be wrong because it's not fact) that the higher police met would 100% know what the plan was that eve. I don't think they were particularly interested in who shoots them as long as the job was done and it was done professionally. That's my take on all of this. The thing is, we can interview as many ppl as you like who tell their side of the story, but how do we know they are telling the truth and not covering up. The only ppl that really really know what happened that night and who shot them are tate tucker and rolfe but unfortunately we know where they are. That's my take on things

You have to look at the evidence and corroborate the facts.
Jasper’s account is corroborated and despite the ‘noise’, lies and manipulation of the facts by certain parties, his account is as close to the truth as you will get.
Steele and Whomes no no more than you or I, in fact far less.
They were not involved. It was orchestrated and carried out by protons from Canning Town.
