Who is the other idol with a talk show? This is a nice surprise to see JHUD get her own talkshow. I adore her. She is very soft spoken though, which is a opposite of her singing voice.

For Simon to want to use this to work towards no longer being seriously blunt, think before he speaks, no when to hold silence, and watch tone of your voice. Judging singers does not mean you hace to speak harsh, there is a polite way to express not liking singing and just because that is how the world operates, does not make it right.

Simon was always hated for being 'straight up', yet he was always honest about how HE felt about the moment. You could also count on him to ADMIT his mistakes. That's rare.

I remember the night before elimination, we had a huge storm through Chicago and mid-Illinois. All the power went out and a lot of people could not watch American Idol, let alone vote. When Jennifer was voted off, I felt it was unfair, because her hometown and home state could not vote to support her. But here she is...killing it!!! YEAH!

That is so true. Beyoncé once talked about not winning competitions - but look at her now. So many have lost competitions and came out greater. God knew that Jennifer did not need American Idol to be great.

I agree I watched the show where she was eliminated and to be fair she was not ready. Fantasia was. But for the rejection she may not have achieved the success she has. So hey Simon at the time was right in my view.

He said he felt emotional and felt terrible, but didn’t once apologize for the role that his comments played in her elimination from American Idol. Simon used to critique how Jennifer looked and spoke, instead of focusing on her gift of singing and performing. Glad she showed grace by inviting him on her show & making it clear just how wrong he was!
His comments definitely helped her because her earlier performances weren’t great. She clearly had a voice but her use of it
You’re being bias. It’s part of the job to mold them with criticism. At the end of the day the audience would’ve voted for her if they disagreed with Simon.

She’s had so much success even outside of music with broadway ( acting and singing), film, being a judge on The Voice (UK?), and now her talk show.

Yeah, Simon's comments were a factor; but, in the end, IMO, it was Jennifer's fault that she got voted off---and, the reason being because she back-talked Simon, and I noticed that the minute anybody sassed him, they were gone!! Nobody was gonna let anybody diss (in their mind) him!!

I think that Simon is pure in heart. His words generate you to do better, I think he uses reverse psychology that sometimes brings out the best in people. He is a man who apologizes when needed and that shows true characteristics. Love me some Simon always. He is so humorous with his comments and facial expressions. He does have an eye for talent. He looks like a person who does good and does not advertise himself.

It's so amazing how we revolve in music. Whitney Houston was one of the greats. We lost her, and then here comes Jennifer Hudson, here comes Beyonce, and a few other artists that are famous today. Jennifer Hudson never gave her dream because American idol was just a platform for her too give us everything she got. Dreamgirls was a very wonderful movie. Circle Of Life was absolutely incredible, I will never forget that performance, it was truly like the song was written for Jennifer, The Lion King was one of my all time favorite Disney movies that I loved watching over and over with my children, and Jennifer gracefully took ownership of that song that night, I believe Sir Elton John was extremely proud of her. She is probably the most all around successful person from American Idol, I am really happy for her ❤, I know that she has been through a lot, but it looks like all of it has made her stronger and more determined.
