when she said "winner winner" I was anticipating her to follow with "chicken dinner"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha this reminded me of pubg
I mostly use this product to control the temperature for green, black, oolong and pu'erh teas--as well as yerba mate--that range between 160 F to 200 F steeping temp. I've been using it for a few months now. Love it. Since I live in a city with super hard water, I choose to buy distilled water to prevent mineral build up in the kettle.
I'm still kicking myself for forgetting to buy into the KickStarter when it was packaged with the Acaia Pearl :(
Okay, I'm so excited for this video, but I'm still waiting on my EKG+. Hope to see a review of that kettle when it FINALLY hits the market too.
Interestingly the handle is ULTRA comfortable for me! I find I don't need as much grip strength to manipulate the kettle, i can just let it hang naturally from my hand with my thumb around the nub. It makes for super controlled pours!
A lot of reviews, as per Amazon, are noting that it doesn't last past 3-9 months (i.e. leaking, etc.). I will try purchasing from a local store, hopefully, I won't have any issues.
I found one yesterday at a garage sale for $2.00 . All the functions work. Some oldsters were downsizing and clearing out the house 🤟🏼
I like the look. It's very stylish. Let's see if it will be available in Europe soon
No kidding I am Indian bought it from Amazon uk
Do you find that the temperature shoots up and can't find its 'HOLD' when your kettle only has less than a quarter of water full?
How would compare this with the Hario temp control kettle?
would this change color from black to silver after time or chip?
Gail, I think your thumb is supposed to rest along the handle vertically so that the tip of your thumb is facing up against the nub, sort of like your giving a thumbs up as you grab it.
You shouldn't have to grip a handle in an unnatural way. It's a poor design.
@@highnrising I can find several ways of holding this kettle without the thumb resting in front of the knob on the handle.
On the other hand I think that the handle could be a bit longer to accomodate larger hands
Like the hoods on a road bike... ;-)
I poured the Stagg at a friend's house and my thumb naturally went to the thumbs up position and I really piured better that way. I used that method with my oxo kettle and it improved my pour with it too.
Would this be good to boil water for my Cafelat Robot? Thanks.
if you unplug this and replug it in? Would turn back on? Im trying to use this with a smart plug to automate tea making
Awesome review
What are the measurements of the base?
irrelevant comment but love the way she talks hahahaha thanks for the thorough review!
It's very pretty.
I believe the Bonavita stops its timer when you place back the kettle on the thing, which is something to get used to I guess. Does this one just keep on counting while reheating to the set temperature on the background?
Yes, the timer on this kettle keeps counting
Important for some: Is the exterior wall cool to touch (non-scalding or insulated)?
It's not insulated, so it will be hot to the touch.
Although you guys record in 1080p I have the feeling that the videos are always a little bit blurred.
This may be due to the lighting. Lighting is key if you want a camera to catch everything
That song at the end.... Alejandro Solomon! Haha
what is the interior material?? the most important!!
It's stainless steel, the outside is just coated with a different finish
@@iSchmidty13 Thank you!
After 1 year I learned it, finally! Well worth it.
dang it Gail! always on top of new toys! #loveit
What is the little carafe you poured water in?
WastelandAssassin Looks like a Kalita server.
Is this model available for use in Europe?
now it is
166e
What is your email ? can we contact for coffee grinder?
is the cover made of plastic?
The lid is metal with a plastic top to keep cooler to the touch. However, the part of the lid that sits inside the kettle (is in contact with water) is all metal.
who makes the little glass carafe @1:39??
I think it’s Kalita
thanks you just save my life hehehe
I would never want a rubber handle. They eventually get gross.
NUBBIN. Excellent. (Fantastic review btw. The best question now is which kettle do you prefer?)
The oxo you reviewed is best in class, except the one button is annoying. Highly recommended.
I think holding the kettle incorrectly and then saying you don't like the handle of the kettle is the only part of the review I did not like. I own this kettle and the thumb placement, to me, is perfect. If you hold it sideways incorrectly, of course you may not like it.
This is a madness
Drip Drip Drip. Very Nice.
Bad design: leaks along the spout at slowest flow.
I would avoid. I had one which glitched. It would ignore the temp setting and boil over.
I had to turn it off and on to reset this glitch, but it was always playing up and making me anxious.
Thankfully it’s dead now.
I will go back to stove top.
All these badly wired electronics from China goes to show you get what you pay for !
“You’re holding it wrong”
If you want your coffee or tea to tumble a little bit within the hot water, this spout will not do it, bought it returned it.
This kettle is terrible. The on and off button has problems turning off. Had to replace base once and same problem came back.
Fellow customer service is terrible. They do not have a phone number to contact them and you have to deal with them by email which is insane. They would not
replace base again. Went to OXO kettle which is better and easier to pour.
