- Lockboxes play a big role in Neverwinter to get new rewards, and mainly Companions and Mounts! Additionally, if you open the right ones, you can gain tons of Trade Bars which you can spend at the right time, for massive character progression, for much much cheaper than you could normally!
Here I go through exactly which lockboxes you should be opening in order to take advantage of this!

What about the mythic resurgence lockbox? The mythic quality suggests it has the best possible contents?

The best lockbox for me (regardless the year of release) is the Lockbox of Justice.

The green glass stronghold furniture from what I think is Merchant Prince's lockbox should sell on AH for ridiculous amounts if you can nab some.
This video makes me glad I kept opening Shadowy Flight lockboxes.

What is the best lockbox for selling stuff? Stuff that isn't bound to account. Like boxes that have mount/companion tokens and other stuff that I can resell.
they all drop the same stuff except the top rewards, companion and mount usually, so just check those

not worth on Warlock for now unless you are using the wererat thief companion equip power

U can get the top tier Mythic items more than once. I've opened the Ebon lizard one all the way to 250 and I got the lizard twice. AH the 2nd one for around 1.6M AD. Would be really annoying if they were bound to character.
Kinda sucks that the astral lockbox doesn't have pity reward... Then again, I understand that having them would set an AD price on said rewards, and they probably don't want that.
First time opening lockboxes, i opened 1 per day via vip, got the demon wings on #20. This was about 3 weeks ago i obtained them. Im trying to get the artifact and im on #60 ish.

@@Aragon- sure.,..but you get them from ANY lockbox...so i dont count them as a reward for a best one
I open the old old like mod 12 and older ones as well cause i have a guild bank full of them lol i get armour and weapon illusion and more trades bars
I didn't realise there's a cap on Trade Bars. I'm not sure if I missed out on any on my last opening binge, but I think it's something like 20k per character, 30k in Shared Bank.

usually it does not let you open more lockboxes if you are at the tradebar cap

Oh, that's good, then! I did have more than 20,000, though. I keep everything in Shared Bank now, just in case, instead of on my Fighter. Especially when he upgraded his Tomb Spider to Legendry form Epic and accidentally clicked on 1million AD instead of 120 Companion Upgrade Tokens!

What shoud i spend my zen if i want to pay a little for a game than if not for keyes ? I dont see a lot of better options, plus when i want to get my IL faster what's better is to choose than keyes ? Im new player btw
Don't spend zen directly on keys, instead get VIP. Every day you have VIP you get one free key, plus a bunch more passive bonuses based on the level of VIP you have. Besides, 1000 zen for 30 keys is a lot better than 125 for 1. VIP is the only good thing to get with zen.
ok so you say aim for Trade Bars when opening but whats so special about Trade Bars?
I feel so sick I wasted 300-odd keys on the box with the Minotaur. I'd saved for over a year and should have kept at least 200 keys.

It was the "Open Ten" button, I got the mount from the Astramentous box quite early, after just over 100, I should have stopped and bought the Minotaur on AH and saved the keys for the Artefact box. I got a pack, "Mount or Companion" at 250,
And when you get to 250 keys, it starts counting again! I had 380-odd and used far too many!
I did get thousands of Trade Bars, but I think I actually capped on that character.
Now, I still have dozens of crappy green and blue non-Account mounts and companions worth next to nothing.

My Divine Oracle Dwarven Battle Cleric, which used to be my Main and PvP character (Oh, the Crit DoTs from _"Brand of the Sun",_ Rogues hit from on high at a distance when they were guarding a node thought there was a hacker!), has thousands of boxes all the way from Mod 2.
I used to sell the popular ones for a daft amount, but now most are worthless. I should probably just sell for the 8 copper to make space. Some of them have "Rewards" like an Amethyst, or blue gear from the original Sharandar.
I need to do something about my hoarding OCD!
