- Here I cover the powers you should be using on your Warlock Dps to maximize your damage output! This covers multi target (aoe) and single target (st) damage powers and what's best for what! When just looking at the powers without much thought, it can be easy to make the wrong decisions which severely reduce your damage!

At-Wills: 18 Sparks in:
- Hellish Rebuke 10.5s
- Hellish Rebuke 7.2s (with Animation Cancelling)
- Hellish Rebuke 6.4s (with No Pity, No Mercy)
- Hellish Rebuke 3.9s (with No Pity, No Mercy + Animation Cancelling)
- Hand of Blight 5.4s
AoE
- No, Infernal Spheres, long cooldown, buggy targeting
- No, Dreadtheft low damage + way too long cast time
- Sometimes, Cursebite means you lose curse, which means you loose a lot of damage (warlock's curse feat) BUT, can use with Parting Blasphemy feat for burst aoe damage (removes other warlocks curses too and not effected by Soul Spark Recovery)
- Sometimes, Arms of Hadar with CC effect, BUT it has low damage + too long Cooldown after a few casts.
- Yes, Blades cause (130 x 50% = 195 magnitude) x 3 (585 in 6s) against enemies with curse (yes, it is a multiplicative 50%)
- Yes, Fiery Bolt cause it applies curse, decent aoe damage
- Yes, Hellfire Ring causes curse on targets and summons puppet on each hit of the dot for soul investiture (20% encounter damage)
- Yes, killing flames if enemies die fast
ST
- No, Vampiric Embrace low damage
- No, Dreadtheft low damage + way too long cast time
- No, Cursebite 12s cooldown for 1 cast, 24s for both charges (removes other warlocks curses too and not effected by Soul Spark Recovery)
- Sometimes, Hadar's Grasp for the CC, but low damage high cooldown
- Yes, Blades cause 195 mag x 3 (585 in 6s) against enemies with curse
- Yes, Hellfire Ring causes curse on targets and summons puppet on each hit of the dot for soul investiture (20% encounter damage)
- Yes, killing flames high damage, applies curse
All-Consuming Curse + Deadly Curse
- Only good for single target (no true aoe at-will and you really want No Pity, No Mercy for combat adv)
- If you use Hand of Blight, cause you don't want to animation cancel
No Pity, No Mercy + Dust to Dust
- For combat advantage regardless of positioning (massive in AoE)
- Extra soul sparks with Hellish Rebuke
- Dust to Dust cause there are no better options.
Feats
- Need Power of Nine Hells for Hellfire Ring and Soul Investiture (20% encounter damage)
- Warlock's Curse for reliable 12% damage bonus, but again Parting Blasphemy can be used in an aoe burst build
- Risky Investiture for 20% encounter damage from Hellfire Ring with Power of the Nine Hells.
- Creeping Death for ST (can be 10% or more of total damage), Executioner's Gift for burst AoE damage
- Soul Spark Recovery for max 3s cooldown reduction with Soul Scorch. Puppet only attacks every 1.5s so would take 9s to reduce cooldowns by 3s, so Wrathful Souls is far far worse!

Nice work Aragon, thanks. For those playing on ps5, animation canceling works by pressing L3 when casting Hellish Rebuke, with the right timing. Practice on the dummy.

hello, so im a warlock player and i found a interesting detail that is when u have mythallar equiped and no pity no mercy disabled, when u attack with hellish rebuke from ca every dot hit then is gonna proc mythallar, so basically u can go with hellish rebuke as a secondary at-will, and then spam hand of blight. im not sure if its gonna be better then animation cancelling but hand of blight in melee also makes the target take up to 4% more damage if i remember right.
u do lose ca without no pity no mercy, so if struggle to keep ca no pity no mercy is a must
Best powers who are scaled down in 99% of the content.. 😅
Still don’t understand how to animation cancel on an Xbox controller. The ring, bolt, bite has been my go to. Looking forward to trying this set up.
You just use your shadowslip real fast to stop the animation. You can use KF to cancel HFR. Cast ring, while your hands start to move in the sky, cast KF
@@mayn90s19 Appreciate it. I usually hit top 3 in random trials but often have other classes of similar IL sometimes double my dmg in top 2 spots
Following your previous video i'm wondering if it's worth to upgrade elminster or any of the legendary mounts you showed or if i should wait on those, i'm kinda pushing towards the 45k item level, 42k atm to get those sweet mythallar pieces
it depends how serious you are about endgame.
Focus on building up the stats you need for damage.
I would not upgrade Elminster, you would be better off upgrading a companion to mythic that gives you good stats, a good equip bonus

if you got the toad, that is a good upgrade, you'll use it even in min max endgame
Creeping deth its like 100 magnitude dmg every 2 seconds right? I use executioner cuz i love the feeling getting stronger when target is low hp, and more dmg to killing flames, how much u say is the diference in dmg bwt both? Ir really that big?
Since using blades u ll fight as a melee dps (if u put it on tank the crit av ll lover it's crit dmg...)
What should be my second at-will? I understand I should be using hellish rebuke. What should my other one be?
hi. i just recently found your channel because i was looking stuff up since i came back to neverwinter after more than 5 years not playing, there was so much change and your vids helped me sorting stuff out a bit. keep up the good work its appreaciated. specially happy that you happen to make a warlock vid just now, its my main char!
also i have a question about the friend referral system; i referred an alt acc on xbox where i have not played before, but i dont seem to get anything yet, already at lvl 10 on there. i thought there are rewards at lvl 5 and then lvl 20 again. is it still working or might it be a problem that i play both xbox accounts on the same console/ ip adress? would be nice to get that carmine bullet mount..
oh and btw i opened the lockbox of justice with some old 20 or so lockbox keys i still got from last time i played (had vip then) and i got lucky with a noble pegasus and also around 2300ish tarmalune trade bars, was really worth it :)
then i also opened a standard coffer of celestial artifacts from the vault of piety and got super lucky with a mythic coalescent mote, did you know they can drop from that? :)

Yep, those coffers are a great way to get coal motes. It is a big reason why people make a lot of characters and invoke on each everyday

yeah i now also go over all my alt chars on main acc at least once a day (already like 5 or 6 of em ^^), even if its just a small chance and somewhat slow process its worth the couple minutes a day.
about your warlock build from the vid, it works pretty well, im around 40k gear score and do a nice amount of damage already. i earlier used vampiric embrace sometimes to help with managing hp, but now i have a mount power with a chance to heal 5 or 6% when i strike and killing enemies quick enough also helps keeping hp up (i often play solo btw). im practicing hellish rebuke cancelling atm, on xbox its a bit weird cause i have to frequently push the left joystick in but its already faster than hand of blight so thats nice. also changed executioners gift with creeping death and that seems to work better too, i was on the fence for this cause i had to spend 60k AD just to change this one thing but im happy i did.
what im asking myself right now is if its worth to save up for that 300k or 400k thingy that lets you have a second build on your char to just switch between aoe/st, or a more burst damage kind of build as you mentioned in the vid. but i feel like its pretty expensive. is there a way to get that cheaper?
also, can you recommend any guilds for mediocre but active players? :)

@@Aragon- hey i got a feedback about the refer a friend reward! upon reaching lvl 20 on the new acc today i received an email that i can claim the reward package ingame at the reward claim agent. it contained the carmain bullet mount of rare rarity account bound, a bag with 5 turquoise diamond (100k refinement points each) and a legendary enchanting stone both also account bound, then also a small bag with some trash items and a title for the char. so its not really that much it gives you imo. and nothing you can trade.
at least it works using the same console and ip adress, only for the registration on the internetsite i had to use a vpn to sign up the new account. hope that info helps.. cheers!
the above was unlocked for the main account, for the new account i also got a free spot for a new char and 3 retraining token as well as a 24 slot bag.
and other than the unlocks i generated nearly 300k astral diamonds with the new acc from rough AD and selling the stuff i got..
I personally use vampiric embrace on pve solo content, when Im lazy to use stones of health.
Also in dragon hunts, where you may need an emergency heal (for when you are far from the healer and/or the potion is on cooldown), and on menzo hunts, just for the sake of saving on scrolls/stones of health.
But never in dungeons.
Did they fix creeping death? I thought it quit working with the new weapons(DBV and newer) that give the +DMG stat. Or maybe a visual glitch of zeros popping over target

What should my dailies be and why?
it shows the state of the game where once was a warlock that had many ways to play DPS at endgame now has 2 encounters to use. No customization at all.
Yeah, BoVA is great. If you're in melee. Or you can consistently cast it on the tank without having to waste time TRYING to cast it on the tank/melee. And assuming you/tank/melee can stay in melee range for its entire duration. It's great on paper but it's horrible when it comes to actually applying its damage consistently and reliably. I run ring>flames>bite for every single scenario imaginable in master content and that preforms far better than trying to meme it up with blades or anything else. Besides, the majority of encounter damage comes from killing flames, not blades, not bite, not grasp or anything else. Not to mention that curse bite is a direct hit so it vastly speeds up buff stacking from armor pieces (like (+1% crit)x10 when hitting a target for at least 10% of your maximum HP in damage).
Do you know if warlocks are getting buffed or reworked, I haven't heard anything but some people in my guild say its happened or about to happen?
devs have said they are working on some improvements to the warlock healer, yes

i think curse is better dusk to dusk when i use 5% more dmg to at will curse i do less dmg.
What animation canceling
I just got into this game few days ago. Don't know anyone yet, no guild, and the game seems fun. Got about half of the classes to level 4 to see what I like the most and the Warlock is the only one sticking. The aoe and the travel thing is beast. I'm not even sure I'm playing the class right though. What worry me most about this game is I really don't wanna spend money to progress and I play mostly solo so if I have to pay to play solo I doubt I will stay. Good video btw!
With just playing for a few weeks you can unlock over 80% of the games content. Would probably take a lot of time and grinding to get to max to do the top endgame master content, but that is nothing to rush towards
If that's endgame maybe it's time to hang up the old pact blade and move on. Don't know how to animation cancel and I hate the blade move oh well thanks for the informative video as always Aragon

I'm not totally sure. But for PC to do it manually, you hold down two movement keys, like forwards and backwards or left and right, at the same time, hold down your at-wills and spam your shadowslip ability
@@Aragon- right I understood how to do it on PC. But I play on PlayStation and I don't think it's possible so we're just stuck with bad dps 🤣
@@Anonymoose0523 Warlock, barbarian and fighter can animation cancel at will with a standing L3. Just press L3 every time your at will hits. Button is janky tho, so practice is needed. Also, warlock has immunity frame on the first 1-2 shadow slip seconds without actually moving.
