    The ironic part is the Astros hate playing with the roof open. When the MMP roof is open, the Astros are more likely to lose, in fact they're 1-5 in postseason games when the roof is open. The MLB demanded the Astros to keep the roof open for game 2 because they wanted to remove some of the advantages for the Astros and keep the Yankees in the series. And yet, the Yankees still lost. And now, they're blaming the roof being open, which the MLB forced open TO HELP THE YANKEES, for losing.

Some of the tweaks have the last 20 years have blunted that somewhat, but it's still there. In this way, rooting for them is like rooting for the house in a casino. Just glad I lived long enough to see the team I've lived and died with for 40 years live rent free in their collective heads. It will be ironic if they lose the one generational talent they developed to free agency. Then the fan base can feel what folks in Oakland, Kansas City, Tampa, and a lot of others feel.

    I found the wind excuse absurd. Conditions are same for both teams. I'm 72 and have unhappy memories of all those wind aided homers by road teams in Wrigley Field. Astros took advantage of short right field porch in game 3, while Yankees put up a big ZERO. Now Yankees are out of their misery. I liked the Bulls/Knicks analogy. Knicks got by Bulls once in the 90's when Jordan was temporarily retired, and it took 7 games to do it with home team winning all 7 games.

    This ALCS is demonstrating why a Three True Outcomes team is at a disadvantage when they play a baseball team. 3TO teams need to be hot and stay hot to win. A baseball team can overcome that.

    Major League baseball has recalibrated all of the radar guns associated with pitching velocities ! This makes the game more exciting some more people watch to get more revenues !

    • @lee399
      @lee399 Год назад +1

      Thank you T muny.
      The radar gun as well as measuring pitch velocity coming out of the pitcher's hand, not at the plate. 🤣🤣
      Anyone who knows physics knows that an object's speed (in the case of a thrown baseball) decreases over distance, so it may come 100 out of the hand, but it will decrease over the 60 feet to the plate.

    "They are basically the Bulls to our 90's Knicks."
    If you lived through that... you know how absolutely DAMNING that statement is, and it 100% right. 90's were all about grinding possessions and defense, and the Knicks did it better than anyone. Similar to the three true outcomes era we live in today. But when a team thats great for the era meets a team thats great period, you cant win. Your gimmicks come up short. And thats the Yanks in a Nutshell. Cole is Ewing, Judge is Starks, IKF is Chris Childs... 💀
