Analytics are good for a 162 game season, but throw it all out the window in the playoffs. Different sample set. Also - while McCormick's catch was pretty, the game saver was Mancini with 2 outs in the 8th. That ball gets by Trey, and it's extra bases and two runs score. That was clutch!!!

Same thing with stolen bases - unless you are successful stealing at a ridiculous rate (like 85%+) it is better to just stand there and wait for a home run than be aggressive. I hope Dusty doesn’t blow it again. you only need one win at home-don’t blow it.

So where was this Dusty praise when he went with his gut and left Verlander in too long for game 1? Oh that's right, because it was the wrong decision and Verlander should have been yanked early. His gut must have been right again leaving Lance in until the 5th homer too!

I can say the same thing but the opposite. Where are the dusty haters after last night when he did leave Verlander in and they won?

@JRG Nobody could win a home game in that Series. Astros best shot is game 6 Saturday night. Road teams have won a slight majority of World Series game 7's. A few years ago, I checked all World Series game 7's since first WS in 1903 with road team having a slight edge. Since then, there's been one or two World Series game 7's with road team winning each of them.

The reason people don't go after verlander is because he has been great in the playoffs otherwise. Look at his ds and alcs numbers. Boom, mystery solved.

The astros cheated again 100% the astros had more latino players and no African American players according to Baker himself.
