How to 4 Wheel Drift! - BeamNG Drive
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- Here's a tutorial on how to execute Takumi's famous 4 wheel drift, featuring two stock toyota ae86 corollas in BeamNG.Drive. Both zenki, one levin and one trueno. I used of course the ae86 mod, and Ebisu Kita (Ebisu North), Shomaru Touge, and Mount Akina touge for the maps in this video.
I know it's been a while, but hopefully I'll get back to uploading more! Thanks for watching, feedback is always appreciated!

Done :P
Can you make a video about racing in a K-car, please? (Like, Suzuki Cappuccino)
Everything is perfect, absolutely a masterpiece. Gonna have to use this tatic for whenever I'm drifting
It’s a great skill to learn, but be careful! It’s very tricky.
Remember to keep a tad bit of countersteer
Legend is back
Yea, sorry for the hiatus! Needed to take a break so I wouldn’t burn out.
But with a remake. Though I was wondering about how drifting is after the tire update, so it is nice to see him back. Welcome back.
saw this pop up on my feed and clicked without hesitation. thanks again for making these how to's. still fooling around with brake drifiting but once i get that sorted, 4 wheel drift it is :D.
Thanks for sticking with me through the hiatus Lol :)
same
thank you for the early 2000 jazz, felt like i was playing mall tycoon 2
Rippingtons have a lot of great contemplation jazz from the period. This song is from Curves Ahead!
Thanks for making this I’ve been wanting a tutorial for a long time!
I’m glad you enjoyed!
I absolutely loved the music - and the tutorial is cool too
Hey man I love the comfy ness of the video, thanks for the tutorial
He has returned
amazing video and editing but i got a question: is this style of drifting considered slipangle?
Well, slip angle is a term that can be used to describe variations of this style. Like a high slip angle would be more akin to traditional drifting whereas a low slip angle would be the most optimal use of the tires for maximum grip.
I did not know that my dumb behavior of braking later into the corner was really helping me... I thought that it was just the fact that I get to drive faster for longer...
eyyy finally you uploaded again, I like the tutorial, but my Brother's pc for the second but first time that he can't pass the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) I don't know if he backed up beamng
In the way my car is set up. If I go into the corner and turn in a bit early whilst I’m sliding, I lock the brakes. It’s like using the handbrake without lifting the lever.
Can you give the mod link and pls make a vid how to download outdated mods manually
about time i found a tutorial.
I can’t believe there wasn’t one out here before?
@@L00PdeL00P Well from seeing your video's i see therr was 1 from 1 year ago but i didnt eatch it, some months earlier i tried looking for tutorials on how to do it, found one but it didnt really do jack shit, now i found this and i actually get and its actually on a RWD car, thank you man
Awesome video! Been wondering how to do it for awhile now
Didn't the actual stock 86 come with a limited slip diff?
I think some models did. The one in BeamNG had an open diff
Depends on the trim, i wouldn’t doubt that the gts would but a cheaper model probably has open diff
this is very gamer
I’m glad to hear that coming from a real gamer like you.
That is ae 86 Toyota it’s rear 2 wheel drive that’s why it so smooth
perfect tutorial for someone like me
Missed your videos mane 🤧
Sorry bout the hiatus! I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t burn out.
@@L00PdeL00P its all good, great vid btw!!!
OH YES OH POG
E p i c o
hell yeah
Why you play with cold engines?
How do you mean?
@@L00PdeL00P Without preheating you use the cars like that in many of your videos, anyway its only a thing that called my attention, nice work with the channel!!
@@imong_daang
Huh, you’re right! I must’ve unchecked that at some point for some reason and forgotten about it. And thanks!
I remember now! I was doing a top-speed run in a 300zx, but the mod had no option for better radiator or oil cooler, so it’d be better it the engine started colder. Got it to a good 212 MPH I think.
how can I limit my steering angle, I find it hard to initiate a 4 wheel drift using controller
4:14 something called Slip angle
hey its been awhile! i have been busy but ive been drifting on beamng and ive got better :D
Epico
What kind of wheel do you use if you mind me asking?
I used to use a Thrustmaster T150, and it worked fine, but the grips were coming off and it didn’t have a clutch. Latency was also an issue that I didn’t know I had until I recently upgraded to a Logitech G920. Great feeling wheel, it’s like I put on glasses! Real clutch, leather grips and everything. Though, my friend Serzari uses keyboard and he’s better at this than me. Lol
@@L00PdeL00P good shit man, fucking love your videos btw. You have very good cinematography!
i use this in assetto it works well on the touges
Yea, it’s great for tight corners. Autocross is a great place to see this technique work it’s magic!
@@L00PdeL00P i had also been doing trail braking the whole time without knowing, just did it instinctively i guess
Edit: i had actually been doing this without knowing i was 4 wheel drifting but from your video I'm gonna try improving as i am seeing somethings i do wrong

Remastered
New and improved!
Its easy with steering wheel in beamng
how to make it 4Wheel Drive
The AE86 has no 4 wheel drive. The drifts are 4 wheel because of the steering and all of the wheels are sliding during the drift.
86 didnt have opened differintial
*this is so pog I shat my pants*
sorry to hear that
LOL
Finally, I hoped so much that you would bring out a tutorial for a 4 Wheel drift. There literally is pretty much noone on youtube who has made one
Edit: The video was really great! It was similar to your older 4WD video but more refined and clear what to do. And the camera shots were really cool! Your vids actually helped me learn how to (kinda) drift, so thanks!
I’m so glad you liked it! Yea, this is really going back to my roots and doing it as best I can with my new skills. And it’s shocking to me that there really aren’t any tutorials for this important technique! Thanks for watching man :)
The ultimate Takumi roleplaying tutorial :D
Also guys, the stupid diehard toxic assetto fanboys will call this “slipangle” or yaw angle but fuck assetto I’m gonna try this in granturismo
4 wheel drift is another way of saying optimized slip angle. I just used 4 wheel drift because it’s easier on the ears.
@@L00PdeL00P yep
@@L00PdeL00P how can I practice trailbraking without going off road or braking too early?
Should I try normal braking first and then trailing when learning a track?
I'm late but, I play assetto and do 4 wheel drifting, and whenever someone tells me it's "SlIp AnGlE bRo" I tell them "Technically is a Fangio drift as it was used by Fangio in F1" even DK didn't say "transition" but dynamic drifting
@@takumifujiwara5737
If you’re not doing it already, you can practice it anywhere and with any car. Unlike the 4 wheel drift, trail braking can be used anywhere from gravel to a high-aero hill climb. Just try to brake later and gentler and your line will adjust itself.
Speaking from experience, four wheel drift is basically just rotation as the front tires still strains through the turn if taken fastest with or without rear wear added. It can also be done with any other forms of drift initiation and is not needed to achieve WR's, as you can get optimized times even without it by just grinding and knowing how early you should let go of the brakes and floor the throttle instead of expecting to be the fastest simply because you strained all tires equally while anxiously stabilizing the presumed "art form" of optimal cornering and killing off momentum coming out of turns just trying to keep the slide instead of stepping the throttle
It’s definitely a situational technique. The most important part is to know when and when not to use it. It works remarkably well for autocross stuff!
@@L00PdeL00P I habitually use it anytime anywhere and pluck times 3s+ than WR so I'd say it's more lenient on personal preference than being really situational
Great video man! I loved the drifts.
4 wheel drifts are also a great way to practice one handed steering.

Nice I just mastered the 4 wheel drift with no countersteer the other day on wreckfest also I love ur vids keep up the good work
Awesome! I’m glad my video just so happened to have relevance Lol
Your amazing at driving how long hav you been on beamng
@@ryosuke.takahashi long time! Since like 2014~2015. Only started getting good when I started making videos though it seems.
@@L00PdeL00P nice your just like the takumi of beamng
@@ryosuke.takahashi I always thought of myself more like the Shingo of BeamNG. Crashing a lot and then crying about crashing a lot.
FIANLLY the day ive been waiting for
Great video, good tutorial, fast dorifto uwu
Will this technique work for assetto or any other game? I ask this because the physics in beamng and assetto are very different. I wonder if this will work for other games too because this technique seems like it’ll work for pretty much any car game. I wanna try it out!
Most likely, while the two games drive different they’re still sims at heart, and it’s not like this takes advantage of chassis flex or anything beam has unique, it’s just trailbraking
Is this possible at all with a proper set up fwd track car? I’ve seen old minis use a lot of slip angle without scrubbing speed and using little to no countersteer.
well i got mixed up to this by miracle I was trying to do this when I saw the shifting guide to not damage the car when downshifting well I disabled it used my 86 and ready to go to drift like this in the roads
This is hella useful cause i learned and do a lot of this stuff by nature and instinct but its nice to actually understand what is actually going on in a drift and different ways if driving and correcting the car
hi

@@L00PdeL00P llo
the best way to enter is in the beggining of turn tap brackes half while beeing still on throttle then relese brackes downshift get hight revs then countersteer and boom u got it
your back with another banger :) nice!
oh man, i was really looking foward to your next video!
great editing, great driving. keep up with the great work man. cheers!
Thanks for sticking with the channel dude, cheers! :)
What maps did you use?
now do it in real life
How do i make da ae86 all wheel drive
Great video nice to see you coming out with awesome how to videos
The “how to drift like Keiichi Tsuchiya” video got a lot of love, and some people have said I should do a tutorial for the 4 wheel drift, so I thought it’d be a good idea.
and I wonder how to rwd drift.
You’ll get it, keep practicing!
@@L00PdeL00P ok, i keep spinning out :(
@@notfoxgaming1764
If you’re trying regular non-4 wheel drifting, try countersteering earlier and being more gentle with the throttle.
@@L00PdeL00P ok
thank you
ae86 👍
finally! tysm!
I couldn’t believe nobody’s ever made a dedicated 4 wheel drift tutorial. Glad I could fill a need Lol
The PERFECT GUIDE
It would be good for a guide on using a pad rather than a wheel. I only have a very small space and can not fit a rig. So far i have kind of managed to pick up some techniques but it is quite tricky with what i got.
i commented on an older video and i realized that very much later so im gonna put it here does anyone have the link to the 86 mod
