You may consider joining their group, you are already on my watch list!
I love how the kindness of the people in this town destroys the negative reputation it has. Unification and Love!!
Yeah very hospitable Filipinos are no matter what who you are still you can see them happy for ever & very Christian
As a Norwegian my self who’ve visited philippine last year, all I can say is that there is no other country like it, people are so friendly and would usually smile/talk to you as a stranger, never happening here in Norway lol.
Same here in Canada,,they are not friendly
so true, nothing like this happens in norway. feel like its mostly just the asian countries.
@@saltypotatoes827 it happens in latin america as well people are less friendly than the asian ppl but still nicer and more family oriented than the united states
we Filipinos are Christians soo yeah lol
I visited norway and all i did was make friends. Sharing spi ed vodka shots and 10 pound pints of beer hahah. I loved oslo
a smiling face always warms the heart but the Smile of the Filipino people really is next level heart warming
This guy is great! Made a lot of Filipinos very happy. He’s not picky n appreciated every little things. He ate with them no matter what type it was!❤❤
I am from the U S and am a veteran of the Navy. This video brings back memories of Olongapo in the Philippines.
That's great to hear, thanks for watching!
I grew up in the slums of Paco/Malate and I really appreciate what you’ve done to these people. You made their day.
Ali, i've seen a lot of foreigner bloggers and compared with only some of yours. So far, you're the only one that is down to earth that can relate my fellow filipinos, you can easily win their hearts. More power to you as you continue to show traits of having a heart for pinoys. I'm a navy/army veteran living in California since Feb 1986 and watching your videos is very heartwarming. Other bloggers all they do is complain when you even slept in a cockroach infested hotel, I believe in you brother. Keep it up.
I appreciate it brother, thank you for your continues support❤️
Yes thats true po.!Ali is humble and kind.

I lived in Tondo when I was a teenager. I am now over 60s and a senior citizen. The humanity of Filipinos shines despite the tarnished reputation bestowed by others. I am so happy your vlog showed this very positive side and kindness of the people and the place. I was teary-eyed while watching this video. Mabuhay!
I feel the same way here in the U.S missing home. And I truly feel so homesick.

@@cindyandrews6136 How come you never tried to visit? Travel with me :O
you ever wonder why everybody seem to have something bad to say about other regions? this mentality is very tribal but seems to be a common cultural sin throughout the archipelago. the worst version of this though is how the northerners look down on the southerners. it's almost like we like to pick an arbitrary negative trait and then blow it up and use it to describe an entire group of people just because of where in the country they were born. i always found that strange and ugly but fascinating.
its really crazy. when i asked my fam in san fernando, they also think its a bad place to never go to. rumors go far. 😢
That’s why Filipinos are the best. The Filipino hospitality is unparalleled. They’re just fun loving, warm and so welcoming despite of the adversity they face everyday. Great video, man! Love the positive vibes!
Thanks for watching, bro! Glad you loved it!
My brother. Not sure how i stumbled onto your videos. But i just want to thank you for opening up your heart to my homeland. Your energy is amazing and shows through how everyone responds to you. Best of luck in all of your endeavors. God bless.

Bro I missed the premier, but I just watched the whole video today. First offf, holy shit your Tagalog is legendary!! This was an incredible depiction of how energetic and fun the Filipino culture is. You can just see how much you are enjoying all of the interactions and chanting as well as the locals are just so happy to have you exploring and testing foods with them. Such a well made video from start to finish. You can tell the effort thought and connection in this video with each and every person in this video. and Lmao i died, I did not know you had a baby in the Philippines bro!!! A video where you can change perception and thinking on a place is one of the most incredible to watch! Very well done my brother.

This is the kind of vlogger that we've missed, not afraid to mix with the locals. 😊
Thanks for your kind words bro!
Wow 😍 as a person living in Tondo makes me feel proud to see how hospitable and fun they are. When we search in Google what is Tondo the number one that will pop out is usually involves in crimes, and hoping one day that image will totally be change, like Tondo become a place where people always want to visit just like other tourist spot places here in Philippines 🥰
Btw, better to visit Ugbo 5pm onwards as the food stalls mostly start to open by 5pm.
😊After watching so many videos of people visiting Tondo, I have to say I am impressed with how polite and kind everyone is there - I would like to visit one day!
Only because its foreigner with a camera but for an ordinary person walking around cant say the same haha
i kept watching this for like 3 times now, this is really heart warming considering that even my own filipino ppl are still afraid of this place specially to my family who doesn't even want me to visit this place cause of alot of things happening here and documenting it on the news
Great video. I just came back from the Philippines. 🇵🇭 and it’s awesome to see this humble and happy people ☺️☺️
They sure are! Enjoy your travels and stay safe bro❤️
In every video I have watched these people seem so polite and kind, I am thinking about visiting - I am seriously impressed with their kindness and generosity!
You should try to come and visit
Philippines hospitality is amazing. They way they offer food and drinks to Ali and treat him so nice. Always people said Philippines don’t like Muslims but I don’t believe that. They are loving people🇵🇭😍
Muslims are our brothers. Come visiit, man.
That is not true, Filipinos have Muslim ancestors, even before the Chinese come to the Philippines.
Filipinos are one of the most hospitable and nicest people I’ve met. Hope you can visit it sometime to experience it.
We love and we respect all nationality and religion we don't hate anyone atleast just don't hurt us or attacking us Filipino people,! because we are very defensive brave.
What’s the name of the place you went to after Tondo? The one under the bridge?
I freaking love Philippino people!! They are such genuine Hulu man beings! I have had so many philipino, and 98 percent of them are registered nurses which makes me, in a case of a medical emergency, in the safest hands ever! Quite frankly the more I think about it, I don’t think I have ever seen a philipino in a bad mood ir an angry one! Great genuine people.
Ali, you are a very humble, friendly gentleman. No negative sarcastic comments. I lived in Manila for 3 years. Lovely people living in one of the most beautiful natural scenes. Mabuhay Phillinas .
Yeah Tondo is known as the most dangerous place here in our country. But they are still Filipinos that are hospitable and very friendly to a visitor like you. I have relatives in Tondo and my father grew there. dont feel scared everytime you go there as long as you are not showing them negative attitude they will not harm you. Thank you for visiting Tondo.
No problem! I had a great time! Will definitely visit again. ❤
Not most dangerous really.. maybe in Luzon
Filipinos don’t kill foreigners only Filipinos it sad but true
That's what real Filipinos are. Just simply enjoying their daily lives. Not those who travel, go to expensive restaurants, and live in luxury. Thank you for sharing your experience with everyone.
I'm glad I get to share it to all. Thanks for watching!
This is beautiful! Thank for the vid
Great work Ali! I really love how you showed what Tondo is all about. I grew up closed to Tondo and I was always reminded that Tondo is not the place to go. I also have been in a lot of foreign countries when I was in the US Navy but my homeland’s hospitality is no comparison to other countries. We love life! Thank you and Mabuhay 🙏
The Philippines is the country where I have encountered the friendliest, kindest, and most accommodating people in all my travels around the world. The locals' remarkable happiness and resilience are truly exceptional qualities that characterize these wonderful human beings.
Wow. I am 10 minutes in and I'm like, "what are these people on? Why are they so HAPPY?" lol. Greatness.
So very true
I would've agreed too until they decided to get involved in the geopolitics with the new president and has split the country again. Such a shame. Ukraine 2.0.
@@Tropicaya if you grew up in the sticks, your love for life, humour, and tolerance to hardships is tuned all the way up! That’s why Filipinos tend to be positive and hospitable.
@Perdz I can agree with with that. It’s just unfortunate that people seem to have decided to use you and for their imperialists aims. I just hope that it doesn’t turn into the next Ukraine as America’s proxy. Since using other soldiers doesn’t affect its people like losing its own.
Good to see you back Ali. I finally visited Manila last September to see my GF. It was great to visit the places in your vlogs. This time visit the National Museums. They are free. Only the natural history one was open when I visited. But really enjoyed it.

Thank you for the warm welcome! It's great to be back in Manila and to hear such kind words. I'm excited to create more content and share my experiences with you.
Being a foreigner and with camera, you're highly unlikely to become a target of bad people. Filipinos kinda get starstruck when they see foreigners, especially Caucasians, and treat you like celebrity.
If a random Filipino guy goes there, they won't be as welcoming. People in bad areas will stare at you in a challenging way, ask you for money and get violent if you don't comply. That's just my experience growing up there as a teen.
Oh wow, so it's a completely different approach?
I used to live very near to Tondo as a broke college student. Me and my classmates ate in one of the small carenderias inside Tondo to save money too.
We're not foreigners but weve never experienced any kind of hostility from the people there.
They werent as welcoming of course, didnt greet us just like how they did to Ali but they were pretty nice. One elderly pedicab driver even used to give us free rides because he knew we were broke. Told us to " magbayad nalang kayo pag yumaman na kayo".
@kimpiero2525 That's great to hear. It's usually the younger ones that cause trouble. And iirc if you live close to the territory you're kinda off limits too, you say "Tiga dyan lang ako" don't mess with me.
I used to live in sampaloc between 2 squatters area "batang riles" I can go to squatters area on left but not on the right side. And squatters area from the left have regular fights with the ones on the right, stoning each other, knives and sometimes gunshots.
I also experienced bad people on arcades and outside school lol they take my arcade tokens and money. I was 15 and much smaller then tho lol and that was 20 years ago. Maybe things have changed.
