Hey, men as a Filipino when my peeps called you the N. It's not an offensive word, never was, and never will be. You were right in how you explained why we're saying it. Maybe due to ignorance, but mainly I think we say this because Filipinos were hugely influenced by Black American movies, specifically black neighborhoods where we see a lot of What's up my N, you know gangsta shit and we just wannabe like that. And we just kinda replicated that without knowing the actual meaning of the N-word. Nonetheless, I hope all black peeps won't see it as offensive, because I have a feeling this will not stop.

Korean people been saying “Whatsup my ni**a since the Joseon Dynasty.
13:50 "why'd you leave bro?!" Got me dying. 🤣
Lmaooo he left with the quickness
@@iamflyrellLOL just got finessed by zombies. 🤣

I appreciate you for showing the parts of the Philippines that they rarely ever show on RUclips. It’s been 20 years since I’ve been back. Can’t wait to visit. I want to see these streets for myself.
14:31 this part had me dying bro. He cursed the kid for telling you he’s dangerous 😂 People will be amazed by your existence there gang! Enjoy your trip!
😂😂
Aside from content itself (which is great), the camera quality and color correction also stood out to me. Great video! What camera are you using?
Thank you! I use the Sony ZVE1

Respect chris. Thats one way to tour manila. Dont get a lot of vloggers going deep into those streets of tondo.
Subscribed! I’m a Filipino American born and raised in LA. I wouldn’t visit these areas when I go to Philippines myself. It’s nice to see you going there and connecting with the locals.
Thanks for subscribing!
@@iamflyrell yessir just saw your newest video with the kids touring you. I was laughing so hard when they kids wanted you to dunk 😂
Great video sir, We usually do not see the other side of the Philippines. They are chilled as hell out there, did not know they speak English so well.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!

5:46 I'm glad you know :o, I'm sure those kids were happy to meet you, they loved it when you also approached them
It was nice to meet them as well
5:38 this is what y'all looking for..😅
I love how he walks through the "dangerous" neighborhood and everyone high fives him, smiles at him, complimates him.
THIS IS THE BEST VLOGGER FOR REAL, THE QUALITT OF CAMERA SUPER CLEAR
Thanks bro!!
Thanks for understanding the N word thing. Quite honestly embarrassed by it but we don't have cultural awareness/sensitivity like that. The kids might have learned it on movies/music. We also have Negros as our ancestors so it's common to just speak the term with no means to offend anyone.
No need to be embarrassed, Id rather them say it then some other people lol
@@iamflyrell Aeta is the term of the indigenous fils, negritos is what the spanish call them and depending on location too people would also use negro as the term for the color black (just like how latin america and the spanish language use it too) whether its an item or something like to describe, no ill intention ofc
@@iamflyrell to be honest, it's not that they are insensitive.. not sugarcoating but actually those words means nothing to filipinos.. they can even call their friends or brothers that had tanned or darker skin a "negro" as you've said not derogatory .. in fact those people you came across the street calling you nigga just wanted to look or sounds cool.. you can also feel it, no racial slurs nor anything bad vibes when you heard it..
@@iamflyrell a couple of native groups (who are our ancestors) were called Negros by the Spaniards. A lot of groups here in Visayan PH has dark skin so they called our ancestors that. They even named one region here Negros. I wish we still know the original name of that Region instead of using the color skin of my ancestors to name it.
Your Solid bro. I cant tell you aint no pinoy baiter. We pinoys love black folks. Im dual citizen from Los Angeles.
Nahhh no baiter, just tryna find good vibes and energy. Thanks for watching bro!

Thanks for the sub! I really appreciate it, God bless
I just love how this vlog is incredibly raw and honest, offering a real look at the other side of Manila. You showed Manila without any gloss, just the everyday life without filters .. cutting through the usual polish and gets right to the heart of the city.
Thank you for the positivity and thanks for watching!!
The cinematography is AMAZING
Thank you thank you!!!
The "endless daps" got me, me and my friend do that sometimes after having a few bottles of brandy lmao. 🤣
LMAOOO it be like that

What a fun experience! So great to see you enjoying! Glad they treated you warmly!❤️
you have 871subs, Im honored to be here!!
It's an honor to have you here as well! Thank you!
This is what Authentic Philippines looks like, not those fancy beaches and big cities
Edit: what I meant by this is foreigners tend to go to the popular spots meant for TOURISTS or somewhat high end paces, and not these places where majority of us live (Provinces, Barrios, etc.)and how it really is for the rest of us.
Apologies for not including it on my first comment.
we got people fighting in the philippines, normal filipino behavior 👍
Wait isn't this from a big city too? lol
So what you're basically saying is filipinos outside this city or barangay a not authentic filipino?
This is part of.manila it's a huge city.
This is authentic?! Lmao Tanga! How about going to the Province and you’ll see what authentic looks like lol
@@Denden-mx9gl oh sorry probably an oversight in my part, esp sa wording. What i meant was, Foreigners always went to the tourist spots, not the actual places where actual locals really lived.
Instant subscribe, Your shots are beautiful man.
Thank you so much bro!
Golden content brotha🤝 appreciate you, you underrated asf😭
thank you for visiting Philippines.. got alot of Filipinos in the states that havent been back ever since
Intro will be used for GTA Manilla
😂😂 that's a good one
proud of you bro, for reading between the lines and taking the N* word positively
can't blame the folks here, since the N* word is very much exposed in the media esp. in the music scene as if its a very OK word to use
welcome to the barrio kapatid/bro
Yeah of course!
Production looks exquisite
Thank you!
Thanks for visiting my Country man! Your not like the other vloggers only visiting the beautiful you were visiting the slums an that other stuff and you endured it! Love you bro!
Thanks bro!
This was probably of the best vlogs of the Philippines I’ve seen, thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching!
Fun Fact: During the Philippine-American war, Filipinos were branded as N-words by a Union General who order a massacre on a civilian populace in Visayas.
I understand that the N word has deeper and hurtful meaning, but to most if not all Filipinos, we use it for neutral to friendly identification
We even have a region and an island named Negros ( Please come visit us here, stereotype aside we make great grilled chicken named Inasal down here )
14:20, bro this is fire, i feel like you made a whole gang your friend, they're so sweet and they're tryna show u filifino foods 😂 (my english is so bad bro)
as a filipino i apologized in behalf of my fellow countrymen for calling you the N word, as most of us are not familiar about the history behind that word. salute you for being sport.
im smiling while watching this.
I’m pretty sure he knew and he’s just cultured
And he definitely didn’t mean it in a racist way. The N word is sometimes used as a slang greeting
Bro we Filipinos are slaves too, our ancestors became slaves by the Spaniards they call us "INDIOS".
@@artikulouno5754 what up my indio
@@artikulouno5754 that doesn't mean we get to say it tho. And it's not like we get any benefits from using the word.
Phenomenal vlog bro! Salute to you! I can't wait to come out there this year.
This is my Dawg! I love your approached Chris. showing THE REAL lifestyle of Philippines not with other vlogger juicing up Filo social media.Respect. New subscribe here.
Thanks for the sub! I really appreciate the support!
lot of people in manila (specially) use the n word because they're into rap and hip hop culture. they grew up watching and listening to it. there's no malice behind it
As a filipino, this youtuber already underrated + the video has amazing quality and this is a pretty amazing vid and it shows how nice the pilipinos are. ❤
When they call you the n word it's from watching too much Hollywood movies.
Too much 2 Pac 😂

Preciate it Don!
This dude's aura is another level! locals welcomed him as their homies! As a local from another brgy. , I wouldn't dare walk from those streets. But Filipinos love foreigners, so, you're cool
Im Filipino Canadian. I was introduced to this LAN gaming by my Korean bud back here in Canada back in 1999' I think. Playing the original Counter Strike. The Koreans called the place PC Bangs ! . There would be like 20 PCs and we would do like 5 hour CS sessions. We would also sneak alcohol in the place and have Splifs breaks outside. The place also sold Korean Microwave noodle food and other fast food 😆😁
I have also been to a Korean PC Bang as well! The Filipino one doesn't quite match the standards but its nice seeing somewhere kids can game and chill for a good price
There’s actually a lot of sub cities within manila. You went to the hood. There’s upperclass and uppermiddle class, You have to check out the nice neighborhoods. But i can tolerate that hood than the hood in US. 😅
I went to the nice neighborhood but I found it boring 😂 its more fun in the hood lol
@@iamflyrell For sure, just wanted to make sure people who sees your videos won’t think Philippines is just that. 😅
@@GPbSWAGGINitHis videos won't sell if he filmed in those areas iykyk 😂
Hey, men as a Filipino when my peeps called you the N. It's not an offensive word, never was, and never will be. You were right in how you explained why we're saying it. Maybe due to ignorance, but mainly I think we say this because Filipinos were hugely influenced by Black American movies, specifically black neighborhoods where we see a lot of What's up my N, you know gangsta shit and we just wannabe like that. And we just kinda replicated that without knowing the actual meaning of the N-word. Nonetheless, I hope all black peeps won't see it as offensive, because I have a feeling this will not stop.
What an honour! To see a new face around the phillipines since, it has been a while since i've last saw an American. Welcome to the phillipines brother.
Nice content, You won the hearts of Pinoy ❤ through local interaction. stay safe
