Davvero grandi complimenti per la freddezza. Un recupero così non è semplice, neppure per un ottimo drifter come te. Conta molto la testa, ed hai dimostrato di averla. Bravo!
nice save man... code brown for sure... that's a rough patch there maybe the damping settings are too stiff... but man I was sweating balls watching this... good job!

Fabulous fun. Privileged to do laps at Nring in 2005 in a brand new Volvo S60R. Didn't scare myself too badly but look forward to going back and taking a class and a bunch of laps. For a great YTube of s2000 doing this track, look for "S2000 Prototype Nurburgring attack" with Honda test driver Kurosawa. The camera on his feet is priceless.
I have an 01 ap1 bb. You got balls bookin into those turns like that. I know the track well because of gran Turismo I was a nervous wreck watching you. Definitely better than I could do though. Some of your steering corrections looked a little ridiculous but you made it work. Nice save too.
+Austin Sheets. Silly statement about the carousel corner. Why downshift if there's a slower car ahead, insisting on the inside line. He was just being patient and realistic. Totally different if he had it to himself.
Wow that was close, but an epic save. You're a good driver but I think you enter the corners generally a little too fast which is why you have to make so many steering corrections. Maybe if you entered the corners a little slower you could be faster and safer on the exit. Just my opinion. But really nice save there, great video. I hope you and your S2K are still in one piece. :D
Bring this man the brown pants 😂. Great save, fun lap. I like how you attack the corners and rely on the weight transfer during acceleration to give you rear end grip out of the corners. I just don't have the balls to enter the 'Ring. Think Spa Francochamps is as far as I'll go with my track days 😊
man..i had to watch 7:45 like 5 times... that grass tried to reel you in to that railing lol...nice save bro..nice...save..!! about another yr and ill be able to travel and drive that track :)
Well held, good driving over all. Are your damper settings a bit off? Some understeer on entry at then in to oversteer, looks like you have to manage oversteer mid corner and on exit.
Very nice lap! There were a few "moments" before the epic grand final :-) . I must admit that that corner is a bitch even in FWD car (had a few moments the in my CTR), not very keen to experience it the way you did. Great save, cool head, fast on the steering wheel, powering out from the left side, flawless. It was automatic which means you know your car behaviour very well (well that could be seen trough the whole lap).I realy like your driving style. Still learning my S2k even after few years of ownership. I have ap2 and it seems to be as tail happy as yours s2k (only 50k on clock R17 RE50 tires, 245 rear). Give us your impressions once you get the new suspension setup, i might go the same way. One final question: what is your geometry settings and tire pressure and size? Thanks Dan
It's not so tail happy but it went a bit in the moment an he fell on smthng like a ditch that unbalanced the car. Pretty good save though. Maldonado would had crashed.
Bruno Danese They still make/sell the S2000?? I thought it was gone a long time ago. That said, I'd love to have one myself. Hell, I'd like another brand new RX7. Mine still looks and drives almost perfect, but it's not BRAND NEW anymore. I've had it for 20 years now. Damn.
Spoon engine, spoon springs, bad original shock absorber, bridgestone S02, bad gearbox, you can feel the noise in the video, I still have to do several works on the car...
Spoon Engine? Spoon Springs? The car seemed almost stock both in Engine performance and handling wise, seemed very woobly and unstable. Not that its anything wrong with that, i was just wondering because you said spoon Engine and Spoon springs? So what are the upgrades? But my god lad! You have balls as big as the rocky mountains! And to just keep stepping on it, right after? wow.. Hats off. :p
Hi Oscar, First of all - you rock! You have a gift for driving, no doubt. I have watched a lot of your videos, and I just wonder a bit about your s2000's rear end. Compared to many other videos of s2000's on the ring, yours seem far more tail happy, unstable, and a bit unpredictable at times. It looks like your rear springs are rock hard, and your dampers can't follow. Am I off here?
Hello! I know that the shock of the machine are not good (spoon springs and original shock absorbers), I have already bought the car in those conditions, not to mention the gearbox noisy, I hope to order a set of ohlins soon!
Oscar123dM so the dampers are in fact worn out - I thought so, but it's hard to tell from a video :) I hope you get them changed soon, as they seem dangerous. Öhlins would be top class, but I bet you would feel a massive improvement by just getting a decent set, like bilstein b8, Gaz gold or similar.
Oscar123dM Sorry to bother you again here, but I have have been reading up on s2k's a bit now (I always do that, when I find a car I really want, but can't afford :/). I found a thread in a forum about suspension evolution on the s2000, both ap1 and ap2, which had some very interesting knowledge. Especially post #49 had me thinking of your car, and it's jumpy characteristics. I can't post a link here, but I will send it to you.
testacorsa150 what do you do for a living if you dont mind me asking..? i am also looking into buying a s2k and i might be able to help you afford one :)
You're not downshifting right dude, that's why you almost lose it everytime you throttle in the corners, need to keep that rpm next to that redline to really make use of the S2K.
Hallo Oscar, thank you for this amazing Video. I admire your skills in keeping the Car on the track, very fast and accurate reactions. However to me it looks as if you were driving a lot beyond your capabilities. I mean approaching the Corners in the correct way, you might not have to work so hard behind the wheel. I suggest saving some cash and booking an instructor for the day to teach you the right lines. You might be quicker with less efforts in my opinion. But of course it is always easier to be clever from the outside. You definitely handled the critical moment excellent. I admire your guts. Regards Harry
incredible save... Nice skill
Damn! Nice save!
Balls full of steel ,pants full of shit. What a awesome driver. :)
Fantastic driving ... That particular moment made me hold my breath , lol
Wow, stock tires on an AP1 going all out on the Nurburgring is pretty crazy! Much props to you!
So many experts in the comment section as usual
Love seeing these vids of modestly powered cars being driven really fast really well. Bravo and fab save of course!
Oscar123dM Good driving man. Handled that moment with composure, nice job!
7:47 code brown
Damn! that's scary....Awesome driving and awesome setup by the way!
Davvero grandi complimenti per la freddezza. Un recupero così non è semplice, neppure per un ottimo drifter come te. Conta molto la testa, ed hai dimostrato di averla. Bravo!
Props to you Oscar. You are something for sure, a love your driving skills and style and my goal is to at least look as smooth on the track.
nice save man... code brown for sure... that's a rough patch there maybe the damping settings are too stiff... but man I was sweating balls watching this... good job!

You take the S2000 under control the whole lap !! epic driving...
Amazing driver and suspension is top notch dialed in...
this might be the video that makes me buy an s....Respect from the states!!
Awesome recovery for the almost crash. I've only driven the Nurburging on simulation. Tough enough keeping my cool in a virtual environment.

Great driving Sir! - Very brave and confident!
I have an 01 ap1 bb. You got balls bookin into those turns like that. I know the track well because of gran Turismo I was a nervous wreck watching you. Definitely better than I could do though. Some of your steering corrections looked a little ridiculous but you made it work. Nice save too.
mate, awesome car control!! wrong gear in the carousel but overall good driving! and that save at the end was so brutal xD cheers to you and honda

I think he's on to something with the fast entry speed, but could work on the steering corrections and braking points. solid fucking driver though!!!
Love the ap1, love the driving, and love the castrol
Bring this man the brown pants 😂. Great save, fun lap. I like how you attack the corners and rely on the weight transfer during acceleration to give you rear end grip out of the corners.

That was close! Excellent recovery action there.
Amazing reaction. Very impressive driving.
7:54 Nice save, very skilled, and perfect reaction. How did that happen and how did you save that?
Well held, good driving over all. Are your damper settings a bit off? Some understeer on entry at then in to oversteer, looks like you have to manage oversteer mid corner and on exit.
GREAT driving! Most drivers would have been shaken up and needed time to recover, you just dropped a gear and kept going.. Skills!
nice save, and good driving response.
Damn! You're driving so good
What a save!!! Best one I seen yet!!!
This is amazing. You sure know how to whip a Honda :D
Well held man, well held ... I shat my pants just watching that.
Big big like! Very Nice driving skills!!!
Bravo dude.. You have a heart for this !!!
wow complimenti!! te la sei cavata proprio bene senza perdere concentrazione!!!!
That level of attack was insane!
What a catch! Very good
Absolute mad lad hahaha, what tires are these? I feel like they have a real hard time gripping up
Minute 7:45 you are so calm! Great recovery
gran bel manico! complimenti
Woow nice skill Oscar 💪
Honda power 🎌🇯🇵
Well held, very well held
this dude drives how i drive in gt6.. exactly alike well except the little error but cool
Complimenti!

holly shit. that even scared me over here.
Man, S2000s are so lose on the rear.
It's not so tail happy but it went a bit in the moment an he fell on smthng like a ditch that unbalanced the car. Pretty good save though. Maldonado would had crashed.
we preffer the word "tailhappy" mister
that is not the cars fault, the track was super bumpy and he was going way to fast for the corner
The first gen S2000 is notorious for oversteering.
My dream is to buy a brand new S2000. There are only a few left in Japan.
Damn.
Nice save! Lucky that barrier wasn't inches closer to the track&
Yeah its kind of moving around but correct me if im wrong but is that a shortshifter? Because your gears seems shorter
Spoon engine, spoon springs, bad original shock absorber, bridgestone S02, bad gearbox, you can feel the noise in the video, I still have to do several works on the car...
holy shit man that was crazy lol nice driving though

DAmn!!! scene 3:26 he actually has time to scratch an itch!! Bravo Oscar!!!
Mad skill mate
Nice save!
+1 nice drive and save, congrats!
What are the specs of your S2000?
Nice save man damn!!!
What are the mods on your car? Do you have upgraded valve spring retainers?
Maan,you ice them all ! I wanna go with you ! ... :)))
That's a free of car day lol :D What was you're lap time?
Looks like u hit that wall. How did u keep driving so hard
Wow!!! Well done man! Are You from switzerland? You have a swiss "Autobahnvignette" on the windshield.
I'm form Italy! I must pass swiss for going to Ring :)
+Oscar123dM well handled dude! did u hit the barrier on the right side...like just a scrap? it seems so..
again.. very well handled! thumbs up!
hat off !
Ps: The S2000 is dangerous car :o
was there a big difference with the spoon engine over stock?
Damn bro, sick sick save... But you were damn lucky you didnt have much more oversteer, you would've definetly hit the wall with ru rear
Hi Oscar, First of all - you rock! You have a gift for driving, no doubt.

testacorsa150
what do you do for a living if you dont mind me asking..?
i am also looking into buying a s2k and i might be able to help you afford one :)
testacorsa150 AP2 has "milder" handling characteristic from various things. Softer rear sway bar, wider rear tyres, corrected suspension geometry etc.
Impressive driving as always and great save! Are you a professional piloto?
What a fkn save wow!
I don't care about a gear shifter moving around.
Bloody good car control and a bloody good ride !!
ciao oscar, mi spieghi come fai a guidare la s2000 in questo modo? poi al nurburgring! sei uno spettacolo bravissimo!!!
That must have been scary, what were your feelings during those crucial split seconds?
Hope to not destroy my car!! :-D
Nice save . Now that separates the men from the boys
Good save
nice rally driving
Steer with the Rear - nice. Is it an Ap1 or Ap2? I've done a track day in an Ap1 and it was very snappy at the limit....
Ap1 ;)
Ah that's why you nearly died then lol - fantastic car control :)
+Adam Subtract hahaha thank you!

very good driving but your car handle is not good..you slide all the time..to stiff suspension or weak tires?nice safe :)
You're not downshifting right dude, that's why you almost lose it everytime you throttle in the corners, need to keep that rpm next to that redline to really make use of the S2K.
Hey, was it because you went into the corner too fast or because the curb made your car unstable?
no. simple countersteered in wrong part of a second, right on top of the crest
Y el freno??antes de las curvas frenar por favor!!antes de una curva;meter freno y durante la curva ir acelerando poco a poco.
this guy got balls ..just continue like nothing hapen
nice save///
Nice driving but little easy on the steering. Way to much tension during cornering.
Hallo Oscar,

Late apex... Late apex...
absolutely not ;-) but i hope in a future...
how much did the spoon engine cost?
I don't know, it had monted from old owner of the car ;-.) i think about 4-5000$
oh woah thats so cheap, in Australia my b18cr and s80 gearbox cost me $4250
man I love this car it's my dream car but in my country it's cost 100k :(
+Oliver Queen wtf where do you live
wtf normally it's between 15-25k
Oliver Queen I guess Singapore because of the ridiculous taxes
In UK it cost 6-7k£ (about 7000€) today. A wonderful car at an affordable price.
did you hit the wall?
Fortunately not, i went very close..
wow change your undies. 140km/h looking at a wall. lol you did well to hold it
spoon engine.. xD ...... ähm jo. genau
Same as original
