- Not a good day for my poor F20c.. Rocker arm bearing failure, causing an intake valve fall into the cylinder numer two.
Car specs:
Full race twin scroll front turbo kit (380hp gasoline - 460 hp e85)
Full stock engine
Ohlins R&T
Federal rsr tyres
AP Racing 330mm brakes all around
Enkei Rpf1 8j et45 R17 front
Enkei Rpf1 9j et45 R17 Rear
However strange this might seem to many, IMO, this video reminded me of Walter in the rain with the 911... Your car control is LEGENDARY.

Been there, done that, exact same result except mine happened out of the Oak Tree hairpin at the far end of VIR, over revved it, valve snapped in half and with I could post a pic here, the unbelievable destruction of head and block in seconds was spectacular. Hole punched in piston, bright silver shaved metal "patina" coating the entire head. Second valve hit and is wedged in a valve hole, just comprehensive kablam. I drove like this at Watkins Glen this year in the rain. So much fun, most people just bailed out or slowed way down.
Was definitely on for a sub 8 min run. Time to start forging! Great run though

Very nice driving, cold tempered and with precision. If it's oil related... try Marly oil next time. I use it since 2008, in more than 10 vehicles... you won't believe how good it is.

Che manico! Peccato per il guasto. Se non ricordo male anni fa una s2k turbo era stata bandita da Monza per aver driftato in un turno praticamente vuoto sotto la pioggia... eri tu?
Si direi che ero proprio io, le volte che mi hanno buttato fuori ho smesso di contarle molto tempo fa.. 😂 trovi il video sulla pioggia a Monza che mi ha fatto bozzy onboard, tra i preferiti

Is the egt too high that caused the broken valve? Even with the turbo, if the afr is correct that don't cause any problems for the valves... Let us know while splitting the engine.
A lot of bouncing off of the rev limiter, that's hard on the valves. Also with high rpm, turbo engines, valve float becomes an issue. It's already hard to keep the valve from floating, but the increased back pressure in the turbo manifold tries to keep the valves open. If they float, they can slam back into the valve seat, deforming and then failing.
@@DanielODonnellProAwe right...I have about 4bar before turbine in mind with a turbo so opposed to the NA value at max about 0,4bar... Does Oscar fit higher rate valves springs....?

Vorrei chiederti solo una cosa, quanti km hai fatto con questo motore? Io vorrei fare il mio 328 turbo a motore chiuso, che ne pensi? Grazie mille e complimentoni ancora 💪💪
circa 10000km n/a e 15000 turbo, sovrlimentare è sempre una storia infinita, su quello stai certo :-D

valve spring retainers was ok, i think it was the valve guides out of tolerance..

@@Oscar123dM Hmm, hopefully it's really uncommon. I'm currently looking at an S2000 with 112k miles (180k km). Should I look at ones with less miles?
