Song should've been on FM Rock radio but lots of Canadian bands got ignored like Orphan, Aldo Nova, Haywire, Trooper, ect. RIP Myles. Thanks for letting me rock. April Wine forever!
These guys were outstanding in their basic rock sound in the early days and just as outstanding in their hard rock days. These guys can sing any kind of rock and really make it roll.
myles is such an awesome guy. he baught a car from the dealership i work at. I got to go pick him up from his house and bring em there to pick up his car. what an awesome guy. So glad i got to shake his hand and chat with such a legend
This song actually made Billboard's Mainstream Rock Charts for 6 weeks in 1993. It peaked at #35 and was April Wine's last song to chart. It was also their first song to chart since 1984. It should have done even better though. It's heavier than anything from them since 1979 and has a great chorus.
It’s a darn shame. Based on the quality, I would’ve assumed the song made it to around #15 or #16 on that chart, and maybe would’ve even made the “lower reigns” of the Billboard Hot 100. But i feel with a sound like this, it came out a few years too late.
I bought this album on CD soon after it came-out in 1993. Living in NYC, it was available only as a Canadian import, which may explain the unfortunate complete lack of radio airplay. Although I did call one of the radio stations to get them to play something from it, but they never did. It's too bad, as this and *Frigate* - which I also bought - deserved Stateside releases.
I remember hearing this when I was younger, it was some radio station on MW called Arm forces radio, I use to pick it up here in Ireland but the signal wasn't great, it had American presenters but I think it was also broadcasting from Europe too maybe Germany, it also use to have live baseball & American football on it too
Attitude was the first April Wine album I ever bought (I’m a big Honeymoon Suite fan, and I heard that AW toured with them); I loved it, but had no idea at the time that they did ‘Just Between You And Me”. Great stuff!
I last saw April and 18 years ago at a club in Kingston Ontario, and “Just Between…” is the one big hit they did not play that night… I didn’t miss it because the songs should fit how the band feels that night, not just be an obligatory jukebox of hits. This was the AW with Jim clench, Brian Greenway and Jerry Mercer all in the band… I got to watch Jim singing weeping widow and Oowatanite on a low stage 10 feet from where I was standing.
I got to see April Wine in 1978 as a 14 year old kid. First Glance had just come out and ROLLER was all over the radio. Brian Greenway was the "new guy". Those were magical times.
I just heard of this group, and this song, just months ago, in 2022. Geeeeez, where was I when this tune came out? Very cool song, video is sort of lame, but I should have heard this a long time ago. Kudos April Wine.

they played here In Thunder Bay Ontario, tens years back or so, they were headlining the Saturday night act, they started during a downpour which can be very dangerous , but they went onstage and rocked it out regardless!!
april wine FU&$ING rocks!!!! everybody in this band is so cool and lots of class, and o ya great rocking music, best of the best, thanks april wine for all the great music, and for coming to lewisporte newfoundland form time to time ,your great and you Rock!!!!!
It’s all timing, in the popularity of a particular sound… I thought that “the voice in my heart” was an extremely fine song from this album. Would grace a film soundtrack beautifully.
considering that at this point in their career, most of the members had been playing for nearly 30 years (the drummer was in his early 50's), it's a safe bet to say that they got all the action long before. In fact, most of them were married with kids, so I don't think getting laid was an issue for any of them
Great song... My least favorite AW video, but I love the music, great sound just a bad video concept except for the shots of the band playing... Rock on? Wine-ott!!
I like this song. I remember when it came out i was hooked. But can any one explain what these HOT ASS chicks doing with these guys other than to be in the vid? XD
I wonder if this clip was to be taken in the second degree... I fear not !! Oh, goodness, how corny this is.... How could they not see how corny it was, they weren't kids anymore... Those were the 80's, I suppose... But anyway, it's a great hard rock track, by a very good band, that I keep listening... glad I've heard of them back in the early 80's, when I started listening to a little bit more contemporary hard rock. "Animal Grace" and "Harder...Faster" (that I like less) were the only ones I have owned for over 20 years but recently, I've bought a handful of their albums... Still looking for definitive editions with a great sound and real booklets for most of them, yet.
Ye,s That's Love was on "Attitude". Well, you might well be right, those were still years of being a bit silly on video - what matters is the music after all, and this melodic hard rock is quite enjoyable. By the way, since my comment, I noticed that BGO Records remastered and released 6 of their albums on single or double CD's, according to the length of the late 70's and early 80's albums, and they really enhanced the sound a lot, plus added some extensive and informative liner notes.
@@Marctull66 Yeah, some clips tend to have a hideous quality while the music is audible enough to enjoy. And frankly, i'm not aware of these bands or their labels. I'm here on a 93' routine so this was basically a hidden gem that i found.
@@duncan3998 : you mean you are listenig to all sort of stuff from the year 1993 ? For sure.

For sure. Cool guy, great songwriter, from my country, and a pure rocker.@@Turbo_Lover86

Love the heavy guitar riff. ❤❤❤❤
A fan of AW since 1978.
Now, 54......I have never waivered my love for the Wine.
53 here, fan ever since first hearing "Just Between You And Me" on the radio in late-1981. 🤘🏻
lol my dad's the guitarist in this video
One of the best Canadian bands.
This song is vicious and mighty. Well done, April Wine.
Always❤
Great tune that April Wine fans should become more familiar with..🤘🤘🎸✌️❤️
And perhaps now they will...🤟🤟 🎸 ✌️❤️

Amazing song!
Appreciate you ❤
Still has a great voice, love this band. Still reminds me of the 80's!
April Wine ROCKS!
Thank you!
Head and shoulders above every other song on Attitude. This should have been the first song on the album.
❤
Memories of playing this CD in my Pontiac Gran Am rolling to my job doing maintenance at the beach park. Those were the days
Badass band! Loved them since the late 60s

The 80's were the best!
It has some of that big band rhythm and blues feel to it… Robert Palmer and such. Miles and Robert were good friends.

This song sounds just as good today as it did when it was released. And still sounds great LOUD!!!!

April Wine, Thanks for all of the awesome music...You guys are so talented and I've had a lot of good times listening to you....
love all of the music...

Great Fing Song 🤘🤘
this was a good album.

Good tune
How the HELL does this avoid getting airplay in the 90's?? Was America asleep?
Very much so, my friend...
Man this band really rocks just found them :-):-):-):-):-):-)
Becouse all grunge and emocrap that ruled the airwives. Peoples follow trends and buying shit sorry to say
Unforgivable. This song deserves more airplay than the cancerous garbage from nowadays

WOW I forgot all about this song / aLBUM OF theirs NOT since it was on MTV..
The Attitude album was their best ever. I'm still waiting for a live video of this tune.

Totally forgettable video except Jerry Mercer, and totally unforgettable riff.
