to be honest this "pitching a new transformers cartoon" should be a full series,tj had a great potentiel at making a transformers show,which is cool as hell

I’ve had this idea cooking for like the longest time, of like a semi-anthology where each episode tells a small story and every once and a while a precious character pops back up or there’s a massive event.
I LOVE this idea! Reminds me of my own idea for a Transformers fan comic I was thinking of doing - my way of subverting the usual formula was to have the Ark be destroyed before it can leave Cybertron, trapping all the characters in the post-apocalyptic wasteland that Cybertron has become; likewise no Optimus or Megatron. DEFINITELY want to hear more of your idea, though! You've hit upon something really unique with the "road trip" angle!
This reminds me of my transformers fan fics and the original characters I made that came to earth prior to the reawakening in 1984, just a group of Cybertronians trying to survive. They became friends with a random rock band in the 60s and transformed into the bands instruments, equipment and even their transportation. Their music is given an otherworldly quality by the transformers and they go on to great stardom. By the 70s the band starts breaking up and unfortunately one of a pair of transformers is killed during a bad accident caused by one of the humans and the other one of the bonded pair decides that the humans need to pay, for one Cybertronian spark is worth more than billions of frail, disposable flesh creatures. He goes on to attempt to start world war three and the other surviving transformers must try to stop him. Anyway, at least it didn’t have a dog...but it could have!
Oh heck! This story pitch sort of lines up with the mission of a Decepticon combiner team I made! The only part I'll divulge is that their altmodes are all earth moving vehicles used for preparing roadways.

I hope this continues! You got me hooked and I can't wait to see what happens next! Now if you don't mind me self indulging, I would like to type out my own pitch for a TF show: (Quick side note: this show would take place after the Autobot/Decepticon war) We open to a long forgotten battlefield, fallen soliders as far as the eye can see. And within an ancient Decepticon base lays a defeated Samurai like Decepticon, then a voice thunders "Raise, Bludgeon!" a mystical energy surrounds the skeletal Decepticon as he does just that. After he's back online The Fallen projects himself in front of Bludgeon whom bows before his master. The Fallen instructs Bludgeon to collect ancient relics, and bring them back here so, he and Unicron can be freed. Then Bludgeon uses his own ancient mystical powers to bring all the dead soldiers to life!!! Cut to Icon and, to a training room where the two Autobots are testing their sword skills against each other. In the observation room Kup walks up to Star Saber whom is obviously watching his two students train. He asks how their training is going? With Star Saber responding "See for yourself" then, a quick action scene plays as Drift and Windblade try to best the other. It ends with Windblade (or Drift) being the victor, Kup then informs Star Saber that Prime wants to see him. Star Saber, Kup, Windblade and Drift walk into the Autobot war room to find Ultra Magnus and Leo Prime talking with other high ranking Autobots (e.g. Eltia-1, Springer, Perceptor and Cerebros). Prime informs Star Saber of the Matrix's reaction to The Fallen awakening Bludgeon, through he doesn't know exactly why/what caused the Matrix to react other than a very old enemy as begin to mobilise once again. The Matrix gave Prime a vision to get the relics before the Decepticons do. As they begin to form a team Drift speaks up saying "I know of two Autobot treasure Hunters that can help us, find these relics!" Ultra Magnus replies "You don't mean, those two right?!" Then we cut to Anode and Lug getting out of their holding cells with Anode saying "See Lug? I knew Drift wouldn't let us down!" Magnus sighs "Are you sure that, letting these two join your team is a good idea?" Star Saber response "If anyone can help us get to those relics, it's going to be these two Autobots that often find themselves in places they shouldn't be in" Meanwhile, with the Decepticons a Decepticon drone informs Megaempress (a female Clone Combiner of Megatron whom Shockwave created to unionised the fractured Decepticons after Megatron's seemingly death/defeat) of Bludgeon's arrival. She let's him in, Sixshot walks into frame saying "Well, this well be... interesting" as the Skeletal Decepticon walks up to them. "So, what brings a dead Decepticon to my throne room?" Says Megaempress, Bludgeon responds "I've been brought back with a purpose. Cybertron's colonies as powerful relics which will bring the glory to the Decepticons!!!" Sixshot rolls his eyes as the door to the throne room opens again, he says "Looks like your friend found out you arrive" Bludgeon turns around to see Nemesis Prime walk in with that Decepticon drone from before walk in aswell with three other drones. After some back-and-forth (with Megaempress combining with her drones) Megaempress instructs Tidal Wave to help Bludgeon with his quest and, sending Slipstream, Shadow Striker, FlameWar and ThunderBlast to go along too (so she can obviously keep an eye on Bludgeon). The 1st season would be both teams travelling to a different planet (including earth) trying to find a relic on it. Star Saber would also have his son (& his companion) too whom, would be learning about what happened during the Autobot/Decepticon war. Leaving a bread trail for what happened to Optimus and Megatron, with Nemesis Prime possibly being what happened to Optimus. Along the way on each planet the teams will come across some camo bots like: Primal leading the Autobots/Maximals on the Jungle Planet, Override fighting against the Stunticons for control of the Speed Planet and Trypticon terrorising Tokyo. The season will end with The Fallen and Unicron being freed (along with a mysterious winged bot that's escapes in the chaos). Season 2 will be the 2nd Unicron war!!!
Something I've been throwing around in my head: A gritty anthology series with inspiration from the idw comics taking place before/at the very beginning of the war. An unnamed low class Cybertronian is fired from his job as an energon miner. He runs out of credits and has no resort to blood sports to survive in the slums. He makes a name for himself as Megatronus, the people's champion. A young Orion Pax is inspired by the speeches of Megatronus, but isn't aware of how brutal the new champion's enforcers have become. Bulkhead watches as the Constructicons he had been working with for centuries get radicalized and eventually just stop showing up to work. Ultra Magnus, by the books cop, and Sunstreaker, rash and confident rookie cop investigate a strange string of murders, vandalisms, and beatings, all marked with the same calling card, a prototype Decepticon symbol. Eventually the stories start to converge into the war beginning proper.
Feels like it needs a big bruiser unless Mudslinger's robot form isn't a lanky tall one. As a former Decepticon getting paid to smash things sounds up his alley. Useful destruction. Salvage: It's called resource reclamation. *Mudslinger transforms his hand into a plasma cutter* Mudslinger: As long as I get to cut something open you can call it whatever you like.
I love this story! I actually thought of a similar story for a movie, but mine features fan favorite Autobots; Hound, Prowl, Trailbreaker, Brawn and Cliffjumper, trying to find the rest of the Bots before the Decepticons do, gaining the assistance from our human characters and learning to love Earth. I guess great minds think alike. 👍

I like the roadtrip concept, reminds me of the first Ben 10. I'd like to see some designs of the bots. The vehicles chosen are very pretty. Also, hypothetycally, would you prefer this series to be animated in 2d or 3d 🤔
Would really like to see that season 2 idea, this is very interesting. As for antagonists, since you want flyers for the evil Decepticons, one thing I could maybe see is the Rainbmakers, given they really don't have much representation and it'd be cool.
In season one or two, you could perhaps have a whole episode centered around the autobots and decepticons. Gives hasbro the oppertunity to sell recognizable characters, and could possibly develop the mission the autobots were on before they left cybertron. Just an idea.
To me, I want a TF show that focuses on a group of mercenaries hired by the High Council, in order to find the missing Allspark, or some other special artifact, & the group consisted of Doubledealer, Toxitron, Scowl, Knock-Out, Devcon, Deadlock, Diabla, & Detritus, also a handful of classic characters will be Optimus Prime, Windblade, Bumblebee (who’ll be reformed as Goldbug), Grapple, Bluestreak, Ironhide, Ratchet, Autobot Megatron, Thundercracker (who’ll be a full-on Autobot), Soundwave, the Dinobots, & even the Decepticon Justice Division, and also have the Fallen as the main antagonist again!! (Like in the Transformers 2 film)
I have a trilogy idea. Part 1: Transformers: The Great Beast War A war has started on Cybertron over a powerful item (possibly The Allspark?), not between Autobots and Decepticons, but Maximals and Preds, lead by Optimal Primal and Megatron, the Maximals have possession of the (Allspark?), but are losing the fight on Cybertron and decide to flee with the (Allspark?), but are soon followed by the Preds, near Earth the Preds catch-up and the ships fire on each other, both crashing on Earth sometime after the dinosaurs but before humans, while entering the atmosphere the (Allspark?) Is lost falling out a hole in the Maximal's ship, both sides scan beast forms and the war continues on Earth in search of the (Allspark?), at the end of the series both sides are offlined by the (Allspark?) When it is finally discovered and activated when someone touches it, with the final scene being a blinding flash coming from it. (This series would contain Beast Wars Characters duh!) Part 2: Transformers: Beast Descedents The war continues on Cybertron, this time between the descendents of the Maximals and Preds, the Autobots and Decepticons lead by Optimus Prime and Galvatron, Space Bridge Technology is now a thing, there's now a Space Bridge that links Earth and Cybertron, and both sides travel back and forth between Cybertron and Earth looking for the legendary (Allspark?) while on Earth the Space Bridges breaks leaving both sides stranded on Earth in a time during humans, it ends with the discovery of the beast transformers and the (Allspark?), as someone grabs the (Allspark?) It activates, there's a bright flash and the series ends. (This series would contain a smaller cast of the more notable Autobot and Decepticon characters) Part 3: Transformers: Beast Combiners It is now shown that the (Allspark?) is reformatting all of the transformers and repairs the Space Bridge and transports itself to an unknown location, Beast now combine with Vehicles to make combinations like Optimal Primal+ Optimus Prime= Combination 1: Optimal Optimus Combination 2: Primal Prime Megatron+Galvatron= MegaGalvatron Waspinator+Thrust= Thrustinator And other combinations of Autobot/Maximal and Decepticon/Predacon I currently have no idea for a conclusion to this final series.

i have some ideas for the villain thats organizing the decepticons: -Shockwave: so one of the decepticons would have learn that these autobots are searching the ark and he contacts shockwave since in this version shockwave sent a huge team of decepticons to search where megatron is, and after getting this information he would contact more of the one episode decepticons and even mudshot. -Starscream: this one is the least well thought that i have but i dont have many other ideas apart of making a new character. In this version starscream died we dont know how maybe it was mid combat in the ark or when crashing on the volcano, we just dont know but we know that starscream is in ghost form possesing one of the decepticons he wouldnt reveal he is a ghost to the others so they cant try to find a way to hurt him but yeah thats all that i got. in advance sorry for the huge text and my poor english.
I would want to see more planets in the same universe as cybertron, like Lithone or Quintessa from the 86 movie, other factions would be interesting to see, and show how the cybertronian war ripples across multiple other species. Kind of like Star Wars in terms of space exploration in the Transformers universe would be very cool.
I'd make something kind of like G-Gundam, have some sort of planetary tournament. In this time line the Quintessons keep the Cybertronians happy by providing them with the tournaments as entertainment so there's no rebellion. In order to keep things interesting the Quints add new themes to influence the alt modes of the combatants. And for this tournament the theme chosen is a new planet they discovered, Earth. The tournament takes place on Earth and the humans are entertained by the fights as well. They even participate by being secondary operators similar to the headmasters and targetmasters. The plot would mostly serve as a concept to make it so Megatron is actually the main hero. He is friends with Orion Pax who is just a member of Megatron's support team. Maybe they can later combine to form an "Optimus Prime" type form. Another twist could be that it's not the real Earth, it's a copy and the "tournaments" are preludes for the Quints invading the real planets. They just using the unique designs from the planet's inhabitants before the Quints wipe them out for good.
Cool idea to show the origin story from another perspective. Since this happens (presumably) just before the original cast is revived, it'd be cool if this were set in the late 70's, with an emphasis on older vehicles we don't normally see in the franchise. Maybe throw in a bunch of Diaclone and Microman references to reinforce the 'before Transformers' theme.
Great premise TJ. Hasbro should definitely use this. The G1 cartoon holds a lot of memories for fans, and you mentioned that they can’t always use G1 as a end all be all ,some risks have to be taken. Getting new fans involved is what keeps a franchise going so appealing to kids is crucial, but that does not mean the writing has to suffer. Good writers with a strong story will do wonders for your idea. Good luck with your pitch
My idea would be a take on your swapped ideologies and even add new characters, for the Despicons, Rode Rage (a motorcycle with a VERY short fuse) , Smash blade( one of those trucks with a giant circle saw and Despticon ideas bot), and Overcast (a black convertible and evil Cyber-Ninja). For new Autobots, Skyline (a Stealth Bomber and Cyber-Ninja ), Cloudburst (a Saber Jet and Sword master) and Ragtag (a tank and master strategist).
I have a TF series concept which would explain the existence of the different TF universes/timelines, integrating the lore and allowing characters from different continuities to interact without cancelling or conflicting with any of the lore.
i reeeelllyyyy want a scavengers, wreckers, maybe a per war show about how it starts and of corse a show set on cybertron about the war and a mtmte/lost light show.
I really love what you got going on here and looks like you planned everything out, I am working on my own fiction as well but is still under heavy construction due to time restraints and my own personal responsibilities. I am totally down with new characters or new takes on characters (I also used established names too but with my own twist) and would love to see more of your story as it sounds really interesting. I am really glad you shared this as it's given me some motivation to work on my own story so thanks for that.
If I could pitch any transformers concept, how about one where the autobots and decepticons crash land on earth, like in the original, they wake up in whatever year, they start fighting, everything starts out just like we've come to expect...and then they reestablish contact with Cybertron. We then learn that in their absence, new leaders have risen to take their place, and the war is long over. So now these transformers who remember being in the middle of a war have to come to terms with everything that's changed and figure out what to do with themselves and how to reconcile what they remember with what has happened in their absence.
I like your idea. I think it's great. The mixing of new fresh characters and storyline with older previously well established characters and possibly more history that was not previously revealed about those things that characters. I would like to see it come to pass if Hasbro used to do it.
A series I want to see one day is something akin to an adaptation of the 2005 IDW continuity. Or skip past the parts that are more G1 based and do a Lost Light series,
Really like this concept and think it could be great. One question I had is what happens with their ship? Don’t know if I missed you explaining it but if you want them to stay on the ground then maybe need to pull a beast wars and permanently ground their spacecraft.
Oh man! This is an amazing idea! TJ, feel free to take this idea from me: When they do meet Optimus, Hightail's world shatters. The team discovers he isn't the savior, the hero, the legend that Hightail's stories make him out to be (aka the events of G1 are like fairytails, when the truth is far, far worse!) For instance, when Orion Pax was rebuilt as Optimus Prime by Alpha Trion, Trion actually made Optimus into a war machine instead of a Guardian. Optimus, out of options for Cybertron, left to find energy to finish the war, not save Cybertron, as Hightail believes.
If you want some Decepticon flyers as baddies, I can think of a pair that could use more love: Snapdragon and Apeface. They can kind of function in sort of the same way as the IDW version of Bebop and Rocksteady: kind of dim witted, but can easily overpower the heroes with more maneuverability and advanced weaponry, keeping the heroes in their toes. Plus, there could be a dynamic where even though they tend to squabble, they’re fiercely loyal to each other.
I kind of have an idea for a Transformers cartoon, basically it's the whole Autobots vs Decepticons thing but this time the humans get involved. A task force is created to combat the Transformers I'm calling Earth Force and they use mechs made from repurposed Cybertronian technology.

Salvage is also a Rescue Bots :p Keeping Optimus, Megatron and the usual menagerie as 'mythic' figures is totally I would do too! My concept start with a climactic battle between Megatron and Optimus where everybody thinks both leaders are dead, a small crew of rookies Autobots and deserter Decepticons end up stranded on Earth and do the whole 'robots in disguise thing' and then at the end of the first season... Megatron appears. In public! DUN DUN DUN! And that'd be the cliffhanger! Having big shake ups every season is a good plan, as it gives each one a unique flavor. Love the idea of bringing in the Holomatter avatars! That's not something we've really seen in cartoons since that static one Arcee used in Prime.
Loving the sound of the concept, not sure if you are accepting suggestions, but I think that one of the human characters should have the last name of O'Hara or Hauser, those should be very familiar to you. Yes, I'm actually suggesting that connecting with G.I. Joe, something that fans of bitty series have been wanting to see for decades. Well, I do have more thoughts onit, but I'm sure you have a better idea what you want to do
I like the idea. What about doing some triple changers that have a different character? If it is a car, it's one person, Or a character I mean and if it's a plane it's a total different character but then when you when you transform it into a bigger transformer, It takes on a different character altogether. You have to build on that character.. I don't know something like that
I made transforming monster truck mechanics a few months ago, but I ran out of enthusiasm before getting everything fully detailed and bulking up some things that need to be thicker to actually let pin hinges be used etc.. It absolutely does all physically work, though! It's in Gears-y colors in this image and hardly at all like the HW car you propose as Mudslinger, but might give you some ideas for the truck bed etc since I managed to actually get one with an empty bed and functional tailgate which also turns into solid legs with big monster tires sucked mostly inside as part of the calves. Oh, and the shoulders use a spring-flap that hinges along the line where the treads overlap to let the arm pass out in robot mode, while it folds in so the tire can spin around unobstructed in vehicle mode. And all four wheels have a steering joint, that would probably need clicky stops at straight and 5, 10, and 15 degrees either way to let it actually roll evenly. And the cab has (just barely) room to put a TR/PotP size headmaster with Headmaster Junior style seat/helmet inside too! i.imgur.com/662wd9Z.png Unfortunately, the taillight/Gears ears do get in the way of articulatoipn since the big shoulder wheels lift up onto the top of the torso to go in a T pose. A pity, but I guess they can be little poistols or something... There's an earlier version with worse legs (but not hiding the arms in truck mode) that has multicolored parts to show where the plain cubes otherwise seamlessly blend together too. The pic above ditches the L shaped truck bed part in favor of a semicircle that folds out of the way to let the back wheel pass through. i.imgur.com/BBTEUSR.png The part I like the most about this is just how much bigger the robot mode is than the truck, something that's uncommon in most transforming toys, and a solid reason to be a headmaster - his full robot body can't fit into a lot of spaces even designed for other (normal size) Transformers -- which is to say, not quite waist high on him! Though with how slender and clean the robot mode is, this could be a she. I wouldn't rule it out. Non-horny non-sexist mode, ACTIVATE! This whole thing with finding dorment Optimus Prime and his crew reminds of s1 of Cyberverse ... But better 😂 The all-new original characters is what the franchise needs nowadays in my opinion
i like this a lot and have some ideas to develop this by having the heroes find out that Earth is an exile for an ancient insane Cybertorinain cult dedicated to Unicron who are also seeking out the matrix of leadership so they can deliver it to unicron and prevent anyone from using his one weakness against him. the early season has the heroes deal with the cult as a series long threat while a number deception energon extractors act as the "monsters of the week" who are each a fun episode about a bad guy ruining the earth or causing collateral damage to the humans that the heroes have to stop so they can find clues or continue on their path slowly building each of those one off extractors into a larger team with internal politics and a question of how they are sending this energon back to the decepticon high command on cybertron. i can absolutely see this as a fun series and would love to talk with you about it or see another video with art for the cast.
4:23, reminds me of Sideburn from RID 2001/ Car Robots tbh. Hey, I don't mind a TF Cybertron reference. Not a bad show I might say. 15:23, road trip? Kinda like A-Team and Mospeada/ Robotech New Gen I would say. Speaking of which, I'd like to see a combiner in Season 2 which would be a little bit like RID '15 with the Stunticons.
Maybe the autobot and decepticons could turn into various animals like beast wars. they might have awaken earlier than expected and it is a mystery on why they were all shut down.
I'd watch it in a heartbeat. Sounds way better than the last four shows (even though the WfC trilogy wasn't that bad as well as Cyberverse and I really liked the concept of the Decepticon designs in RID 2015). The concept of a story primarily about non-affiliated Cybertronians and the characters themselves sound great.
I don't know if it's been said yet as I haven't read every comment but there's a few little things you left out that could add to the lore as well as add to the nostalgia for store shelves. The Insecticons and Jetfire. None of them were onboard the Ark or the Nemesis when they crashed. They could be part of the urban legends that your team chase down. Not that Bali is near the North American continent but the Insecticons could've made their way to NA after activating. I'm fairly certain they activated on their own. So they'd be active during the events of your story. They could also be part of season two while your group goes around the world. Jetfire was found in arctic (as opposed to Antarctic) ice so that's a road trip they could take. He could've been awakened by humans at some point and even be who takes your team around the world for season two. He wants to find his old friend Starscream. He's also from a time when Cybertronians were more neutral and not all 'bots or 'cons or something like that. So he'd fit in nicely with your team. Maybe the remains of Inferno and Quickstrike could be one story. Maybe they can even be reactivated. They're both idiots so it's not like they could spoil anything. Rampage, Depthcharge, Dinobot, Terrorsaur, Scorponok, Tigerhawk, Dinobot 2, Dinobot clones, Tarantulas, Ravage, Waspinator parts and Transmutate could also be found as remains. You can also incorporate the other protoforms somehow. That is if you want to use parts of Beast Wars. Maybe when the Axalon and Darksyde went back in time, they also went to a different Earth and the actions of the Beast Wars are why the events of G1 doesn't actually take place as normal for your story. (insert the Hulk explaining time travel from Avengers: Endgame here even if it goes against what Megatron seen when he blasted that mountain while he was viewing the golden disc) Also maybe some of the other Cybertronians found during their travels could be unused G1 toys like the Omnibots, the Powerdashers, the deluxe Insecticons and Autobots. That could be another way to add some G1 nostalgia even though they're some of the bottom of the barrel for G1 toys not used as cartoon characters. It would just be interesting to use some of them for some side story fun. Better yet, use the twins Natron and Freezon. And maybe Nightbird gets made anyway as I don't think she was made as a direct result of Cybertronians being on Earth and was more of a technology proof of concept test gone wrong. So that's another nostalgia pop.
SO basically, you're pitching Cyberverse again. Ark crashed on Earth but nobody woke up, small group of Protagonists/Autobots searching for it, flashback episodes to give us the big name characters; randomly encountering Decepticons, basically a roadtrip esque story where they find hints to lead to their destination. Sure there is the "But new characters." Bit, but otherwise this largely just sounds like the how the first season of the most recent "kids" Show started; which still sounds like "something we've seen before."
I would go for a more mid-2000s approach to making a new Transformers show. Keep the core premise of Autobots and Decepticons stumbling onto Earth, but with a largely unique cast and a different, deeper source of conflict than just energon. Admittedly, though, I don't have much of an idea for any specifics yet.
Scrsper sounds like Rhynox personality wise, Mudslinger sounds like Dinobot, Hightail sounds like Prime Arcee, that's my understanding of similar personality comparisons. I'd love to watch the show and it sounds like a good pitch also I'm patiently waiting for more Beast Wars reviews.
What if for season two they find out that the government found the Ark and have the transformers at different bases and they have to go from base to base trying to find Optimus and along the way they free some of them amd there you can have your dilemma with the medic when he finds Megatron and tries to destroy him
My idea is for series on pretenders, like tfa cybertron hate organics and the pretenders who are scouts/scientists observing organic worlds are really dislike and bullied. At the start of world, the pretenders (autobots and decepticons) leave cybertron for Earth. When the war comes to earth, only 4 pretenders still live, metalhawk, landmine, waverider and bludgeon. The pretenders end up fighting each other for leadership of pretenders, autobots pretenders dead, decepticon pretenders (who were mutated to part organic) sealed into the Earth. The autobots optimus prime, perceptor, and first aid(female) learn about Earth through the pretenders experiences human lives and will have to stop the decepticon (bludgeon, slipstream, lugnut, reflector and shockwave) from released the decepticon pretenders from their prisons (Decepticon pretenders are more monster/mythical creatures: bomburst camazotz, carnivac werewolf, octopunch kraken,etc) Essentially its a monster hunting show mixed with a Tokusatsu (metalhawk, landmine and waverider human persona are basically a power rangers/super sentai team)
So, rag-tag team of unaligged peeps (with a random con in there) road tripping across the US and possibly other continents with natural disasters and run-ins with other cons and bots as the Team band together in the end. It would be a good concept (namely on the kids side of things) for kids learning the geography and other landmarks and stuff around the world. Of course it can also be good for possibilities of growing teamwork and such. Tis nice.
I really like that idea you hatched with that there are new characters that barely anyone knows that can have their chance to shine while trying to find the Energon going to different places. I am interested on how season 2 would be like there.
In my instance, I'm picking up where TFP: Predacon Rising & the last episode of R.I.D. 2015 left off, but in an alternate timeline----, thanks to the RB season 1 finale. Currently, Part 1 of my 2-part R.I.D. 2015 FanFiction is complete, just trying to make it into a comic dub. I'm still stuck on Part 2, Chapter 6. 7 more chapters to go.......

I’ve had this idea cooking for like the longest time, of like a semi-anthology where each episode tells a small story and every once and a while a precious character pops back up or there’s a massive event.
I LOVE this idea! Reminds me of my own idea for a Transformers fan comic I was thinking of doing - my way of subverting the usual formula was to have the Ark be destroyed before it can leave Cybertron, trapping all the characters in the post-apocalyptic wasteland that Cybertron has become; likewise no Optimus or Megatron.
DEFINITELY want to hear more of your idea, though! You've hit upon something really unique with the "road trip" angle!
This reminds me of my transformers fan fics and the original characters I made that came to earth prior to the reawakening in 1984, just a group of Cybertronians trying to survive. They became friends with a random rock band in the 60s and transformed into the bands instruments, equipment and even their transportation. Their music is given an otherworldly quality by the transformers and they go on to great stardom. By the 70s the band starts breaking up and unfortunately one of a pair of transformers is killed during a bad accident caused by one of the humans and the other one of the bonded pair decides that the humans need to pay, for one Cybertronian spark is worth more than billions of frail, disposable flesh creatures. He goes on to attempt to start world war three and the other surviving transformers must try to stop him.
Anyway, at least it didn’t have a dog...but it could have!

Now if you don't mind me self indulging, I would like to type out my own pitch for a TF show:
(Quick side note: this show would take place after the Autobot/Decepticon war)
We open to a long forgotten battlefield, fallen soliders as far as the eye can see. And within an ancient Decepticon base lays a defeated Samurai like Decepticon, then a voice thunders "Raise, Bludgeon!" a mystical energy surrounds the skeletal Decepticon as he does just that. After he's back online The Fallen projects himself in front of Bludgeon whom bows before his master. The Fallen instructs Bludgeon to collect ancient relics, and bring them back here so, he and Unicron can be freed. Then Bludgeon uses his own ancient mystical powers to bring all the dead soldiers to life!!!
Cut to Icon and, to a training room where the two Autobots are testing their sword skills against each other. In the observation room Kup walks up to Star Saber whom is obviously watching his two students train. He asks how their training is going? With Star Saber responding "See for yourself" then, a quick action scene plays as Drift and Windblade try to best the other. It ends with Windblade (or Drift) being the victor, Kup then informs Star Saber that Prime wants to see him.
Star Saber, Kup, Windblade and Drift walk into the Autobot war room to find Ultra Magnus and Leo Prime talking with other high ranking Autobots (e.g. Eltia-1, Springer, Perceptor and Cerebros). Prime informs Star Saber of the Matrix's reaction to The Fallen awakening Bludgeon, through he doesn't know exactly why/what caused the Matrix to react other than a very old enemy as begin to mobilise once again. The Matrix gave Prime a vision to get the relics before the Decepticons do.
As they begin to form a team Drift speaks up saying "I know of two Autobot treasure Hunters that can help us, find these relics!" Ultra Magnus replies "You don't mean, those two right?!" Then we cut to Anode and Lug getting out of their holding cells with Anode saying "See Lug? I knew Drift wouldn't let us down!" Magnus sighs "Are you sure that, letting these two join your team is a good idea?" Star Saber response "If anyone can help us get to those relics, it's going to be these two Autobots that often find themselves in places they shouldn't be in"
Meanwhile, with the Decepticons a Decepticon drone informs Megaempress (a female Clone Combiner of Megatron whom Shockwave created to unionised the fractured Decepticons after Megatron's seemingly death/defeat) of Bludgeon's arrival. She let's him in, Sixshot walks into frame saying "Well, this well be... interesting" as the Skeletal Decepticon walks up to them.
"So, what brings a dead Decepticon to my throne room?" Says Megaempress, Bludgeon responds "I've been brought back with a purpose. Cybertron's colonies as powerful relics which will bring the glory to the Decepticons!!!"
Sixshot rolls his eyes as the door to the throne room opens again, he says "Looks like your friend found out you arrive" Bludgeon turns around to see Nemesis Prime walk in with that Decepticon drone from before walk in aswell with three other drones.
After some back-and-forth (with Megaempress combining with her drones) Megaempress instructs Tidal Wave to help Bludgeon with his quest and, sending Slipstream, Shadow Striker, FlameWar and ThunderBlast to go along too (so she can obviously keep an eye on Bludgeon).
The 1st season would be both teams travelling to a different planet (including earth) trying to find a relic on it. Star Saber would also have his son (& his companion) too whom, would be learning about what happened during the Autobot/Decepticon war. Leaving a bread trail for what happened to Optimus and Megatron, with Nemesis Prime possibly being what happened to Optimus.
Along the way on each planet the teams will come across some camo bots like: Primal leading the Autobots/Maximals on the Jungle Planet, Override fighting against the Stunticons for control of the Speed Planet and Trypticon terrorising Tokyo.
The season will end with The Fallen and Unicron being freed (along with a mysterious winged bot that's escapes in the chaos). Season 2 will be the 2nd Unicron war!!!

Something I've been throwing around in my head:
A gritty anthology series with inspiration from the idw comics taking place before/at the very beginning of the war. An unnamed low class Cybertronian is fired from his job as an energon miner. He runs out of credits and has no resort to blood sports to survive in the slums. He makes a name for himself as Megatronus, the people's champion. A young Orion Pax is inspired by the speeches of Megatronus, but isn't aware of how brutal the new champion's enforcers have become. Bulkhead watches as the Constructicons he had been working with for centuries get radicalized and eventually just stop showing up to work. Ultra Magnus, by the books cop, and Sunstreaker, rash and confident rookie cop investigate a strange string of murders, vandalisms, and beatings, all marked with the same calling card, a prototype Decepticon symbol. Eventually the stories start to converge into the war beginning proper.
Feels like it needs a big bruiser unless Mudslinger's robot form isn't a lanky tall one. As a former Decepticon getting paid to smash things sounds up his alley. Useful destruction.
Salvage: It's called resource reclamation.
*Mudslinger transforms his hand into a plasma cutter*
Mudslinger: As long as I get to cut something open you can call it whatever you like.

I love this story! I actually thought of a similar story for a movie, but mine features fan favorite Autobots; Hound, Prowl, Trailbreaker, Brawn and Cliffjumper, trying to find the rest of the Bots before the Decepticons do, gaining the assistance from our human characters and learning to love Earth. I guess great minds think alike. 👍

I like the roadtrip concept, reminds me of the first Ben 10. I'd like to see some designs of the bots. The vehicles chosen are very pretty. Also, hypothetycally, would you prefer this series to be animated in 2d or 3d 🤔

As for antagonists, since you want flyers for the evil Decepticons, one thing I could maybe see is the Rainbmakers, given they really don't have much representation and it'd be cool.

In season one or two, you could perhaps have a whole episode centered around the autobots and decepticons. Gives hasbro the oppertunity to sell recognizable characters, and could possibly develop the mission the autobots were on before they left cybertron. Just an idea.

To me, I want a TF show that focuses on a group of mercenaries hired by the High Council, in order to find the missing Allspark, or some other special artifact, & the group consisted of Doubledealer, Toxitron, Scowl, Knock-Out, Devcon, Deadlock, Diabla, & Detritus, also a handful of classic characters will be Optimus Prime, Windblade, Bumblebee (who’ll be reformed as Goldbug), Grapple, Bluestreak, Ironhide, Ratchet, Autobot Megatron, Thundercracker (who’ll be a full-on Autobot), Soundwave, the Dinobots, & even the Decepticon Justice Division, and also have the Fallen as the main antagonist again!! (Like in the Transformers 2 film)
Interesting idea would be that the Autobots and Decepticons became human pretenders and have been fighting a proxi war through human history
I have a trilogy idea.
Part 1:
Transformers: The Great Beast War
A war has started on Cybertron over a powerful item (possibly The Allspark?), not between Autobots and Decepticons, but Maximals and Preds, lead by Optimal Primal and Megatron, the Maximals have possession of the (Allspark?), but are losing the fight on Cybertron and decide to flee with the (Allspark?), but are soon followed by the Preds, near Earth the Preds catch-up and the ships fire on each other, both crashing on Earth sometime after the dinosaurs but before humans, while entering the atmosphere the (Allspark?) Is lost falling out a hole in the Maximal's ship, both sides scan beast forms and the war continues on Earth in search of the (Allspark?), at the end of the series both sides are offlined by the (Allspark?) When it is finally discovered and activated when someone touches it, with the final scene being a blinding flash coming from it.
(This series would contain Beast Wars Characters duh!)
Part 2:
Transformers: Beast Descedents
The war continues on Cybertron, this time between the descendents of the Maximals and Preds, the Autobots and Decepticons lead by Optimus Prime and Galvatron, Space Bridge Technology is now a thing, there's now a Space Bridge that links Earth and Cybertron, and both sides travel back and forth between Cybertron and Earth looking for the legendary (Allspark?) while on Earth the Space Bridges breaks leaving both sides stranded on Earth in a time during humans, it ends with the discovery of the beast transformers and the (Allspark?), as someone grabs the (Allspark?) It activates, there's a bright flash and the series ends.
(This series would contain a smaller cast of the more notable Autobot and Decepticon characters)
Part 3:
Transformers: Beast Combiners
It is now shown that the (Allspark?) is reformatting all of the transformers and repairs the Space Bridge and transports itself to an unknown location, Beast now combine with Vehicles to make combinations like
Optimal Primal+ Optimus Prime= Combination 1:
Optimal Optimus
Combination 2:
Primal Prime
Megatron+Galvatron=
MegaGalvatron
Waspinator+Thrust=
Thrustinator
And other combinations of Autobot/Maximal and Decepticon/Predacon

i have some ideas for the villain thats organizing the decepticons:
-Shockwave: so one of the decepticons would have learn that these autobots are searching the ark and he contacts shockwave since in this version shockwave sent a huge team of decepticons to search where megatron is, and after getting this information he would contact more of the one episode decepticons and even mudshot.
-Starscream: this one is the least well thought that i have but i dont have many other ideas apart of making a new character. In this version starscream died we dont know how maybe it was mid combat in the ark or when crashing on the volcano, we just dont know but we know that starscream is in ghost form possesing one of the decepticons he wouldnt reveal he is a ghost to the others so they cant try to find a way to hurt him but yeah thats all that i got.

I would want to see more planets in the same universe as cybertron, like Lithone or Quintessa from the 86 movie, other factions would be interesting to see, and show how the cybertronian war ripples across multiple other species. Kind of like Star Wars in terms of space exploration in the Transformers universe would be very cool.
I'd make something kind of like G-Gundam, have some sort of planetary tournament. In this time line the Quintessons keep the Cybertronians happy by providing them with the tournaments as entertainment so there's no rebellion. In order to keep things interesting the Quints add new themes to influence the alt modes of the combatants. And for this tournament the theme chosen is a new planet they discovered, Earth.
The tournament takes place on Earth and the humans are entertained by the fights as well. They even participate by being secondary operators similar to the headmasters and targetmasters.
The plot would mostly serve as a concept to make it so Megatron is actually the main hero. He is friends with Orion Pax who is just a member of Megatron's support team. Maybe they can later combine to form an "Optimus Prime" type form.
Another twist could be that it's not the real Earth, it's a copy and the "tournaments" are preludes for the Quints invading the real planets. They just using the unique designs from the planet's inhabitants before the Quints wipe them out for good.
I’m interested in both the designs and the story
Cool idea to show the origin story from another perspective. Since this happens (presumably) just before the original cast is revived, it'd be cool if this were set in the late 70's, with an emphasis on older vehicles we don't normally see in the franchise. Maybe throw in a bunch of Diaclone and Microman references to reinforce the 'before Transformers' theme.
Great premise TJ. Hasbro should definitely use this. The G1 cartoon holds a lot of memories for fans, and you mentioned that they can’t always use G1 as a end all be all ,some risks have to be taken. Getting new fans involved is what keeps a franchise going so appealing to kids is crucial, but that does not mean the writing has to suffer. Good writers with a strong story will do wonders for your idea. Good luck with your pitch
My idea would be a take on your swapped ideologies and even add new characters, for the Despicons, Rode Rage (a motorcycle with a VERY short fuse) , Smash blade( one of those trucks with a giant circle saw and Despticon ideas bot), and Overcast (a black convertible and evil Cyber-Ninja). For new Autobots, Skyline (a Stealth Bomber and Cyber-Ninja ), Cloudburst (a Saber Jet and Sword master) and Ragtag (a tank and master strategist).
I have a TF series concept which would explain the existence of the different TF universes/timelines, integrating the lore and allowing characters from different continuities to interact without cancelling or conflicting with any of the lore.
i reeeelllyyyy want a scavengers, wreckers, maybe a per war show about how it starts and of corse a show set on cybertron about the war and a mtmte/lost light show.
I really love what you got going on here and looks like you planned everything out, I am working on my own fiction as well but is still under heavy construction due to time restraints and my own personal responsibilities. I am totally down with new characters or new takes on characters (I also used established names too but with my own twist) and would love to see more of your story as it sounds really interesting. I am really glad you shared this as it's given me some motivation to work on my own story so thanks for that.
If I could pitch any transformers concept, how about one where the autobots and decepticons crash land on earth, like in the original, they wake up in whatever year, they start fighting, everything starts out just like we've come to expect...and then they reestablish contact with Cybertron. We then learn that in their absence, new leaders have risen to take their place, and the war is long over. So now these transformers who remember being in the middle of a war have to come to terms with everything that's changed and figure out what to do with themselves and how to reconcile what they remember with what has happened in their absence.
Always up for more, keep it going.

Oh man! This is an amazing idea! TJ, feel free to take this idea from me: When they do meet Optimus, Hightail's world shatters. The team discovers he isn't the savior, the hero, the legend that Hightail's stories make him out to be (aka the events of G1 are like fairytails, when the truth is far, far worse!)
For instance, when Orion Pax was rebuilt as Optimus Prime by Alpha Trion, Trion actually made Optimus into a war machine instead of a Guardian. Optimus, out of options for Cybertron, left to find energy to finish the war, not save Cybertron, as Hightail believes.
Would be interested in more on the cast, but the "road trip" premise is fun--I'm surprised the series has never really tackled it.

If you want some Decepticon flyers as baddies, I can think of a pair that could use more love: Snapdragon and Apeface.
They can kind of function in sort of the same way as the IDW version of Bebop and Rocksteady: kind of dim witted, but can easily overpower the heroes with more maneuverability and advanced weaponry, keeping the heroes in their toes. Plus, there could be a dynamic where even though they tend to squabble, they’re fiercely loyal to each other.
I kind of have an idea for a Transformers cartoon, basically it's the whole Autobots vs Decepticons thing but this time the humans get involved. A task force is created to combat the Transformers I'm calling Earth Force and they use mechs made from repurposed Cybertronian technology.
This would be a great series to have a type of show that hasn't been done well in Transformers. Stealth. Seriously, it's robots in disguise!

Salvage is also a Rescue Bots :p Keeping Optimus, Megatron and the usual menagerie as 'mythic' figures is totally I would do too! My concept start with a climactic battle between Megatron and Optimus where everybody thinks both leaders are dead, a small crew of rookies Autobots and deserter Decepticons end up stranded on Earth and do the whole 'robots in disguise thing' and then at the end of the first season... Megatron appears. In public! DUN DUN DUN! And that'd be the cliffhanger! Having big shake ups every season is a good plan, as it gives each one a unique flavor. Love the idea of bringing in the Holomatter avatars! That's not something we've really seen in cartoons since that static one Arcee used in Prime.
Loving the sound of the concept, not sure if you are accepting suggestions, but I think that one of the human characters should have the last name of O'Hara or Hauser, those should be very familiar to you. Yes, I'm actually suggesting that connecting with G.I. Joe, something that fans of bitty series have been wanting to see for decades.

I like the idea. What about doing some triple changers that have a different character? If it is a car, it's one person, Or a character I mean and if it's a plane it's a total different character but then when you when you transform it into a bigger transformer, It takes on a different character altogether. You have to build on that character.. I don't know something like that
I made transforming monster truck mechanics a few months ago, but I ran out of enthusiasm before getting everything fully detailed and bulking up some things that need to be thicker to actually let pin hinges be used etc.. It absolutely does all physically work, though! It's in Gears-y colors in this image and hardly at all like the HW car you propose as Mudslinger, but might give you some ideas for the truck bed etc since I managed to actually get one with an empty bed and functional tailgate which also turns into solid legs with big monster tires sucked mostly inside as part of the calves. Oh, and the shoulders use a spring-flap that hinges along the line where the treads overlap to let the arm pass out in robot mode, while it folds in so the tire can spin around unobstructed in vehicle mode. And all four wheels have a steering joint, that would probably need clicky stops at straight and 5, 10, and 15 degrees either way to let it actually roll evenly. And the cab has (just barely) room to put a TR/PotP size headmaster with Headmaster Junior style seat/helmet inside too!

Unfortunately, the taillight/Gears ears do get in the way of articulatoipn since the big shoulder wheels lift up onto the top of the torso to go in a T pose. A pity, but I guess they can be little poistols or something...
There's an earlier version with worse legs (but not hiding the arms in truck mode) that has multicolored parts to show where the plain cubes otherwise seamlessly blend together too. The pic above ditches the L shaped truck bed part in favor of a semicircle that folds out of the way to let the back wheel pass through.

The part I like the most about this is just how much bigger the robot mode is than the truck, something that's uncommon in most transforming toys, and a solid reason to be a headmaster - his full robot body can't fit into a lot of spaces even designed for other (normal size) Transformers -- which is to say, not quite waist high on him! Though with how slender and clean the robot mode is, this could be a she. I wouldn't rule it out. Non-horny non-sexist mode, ACTIVATE!

The all-new original characters is what the franchise needs nowadays in my opinion
i like this a lot and have some ideas to develop this by having the heroes find out that Earth is an exile for an ancient insane Cybertorinain cult dedicated to Unicron who are also seeking out the matrix of leadership so they can deliver it to unicron and prevent anyone from using his one weakness against him.
the early season has the heroes deal with the cult as a series long threat while a number deception energon extractors act as the "monsters of the week" who are each a fun episode about a bad guy ruining the earth or causing collateral damage to the humans that the heroes have to stop so they can find clues or continue on their path slowly building each of those one off extractors into a larger team with internal politics and a question of how they are sending this energon back to the decepticon high command on cybertron.
i can absolutely see this as a fun series and would love to talk with you about it or see another video with art for the cast.

Maybe the autobot and decepticons could turn into various animals like beast wars. they might have awaken earlier than expected and it is a mystery on why they were all shut down.

This is a great pitch, I would definitely watch this.
I'd watch it in a heartbeat. Sounds way better than the last four shows (even though the WfC trilogy wasn't that bad as well as Cyberverse and I really liked the concept of the Decepticon designs in RID 2015).
The concept of a story primarily about non-affiliated Cybertronians and the characters themselves sound great.
I don't know if it's been said yet as I haven't read every comment but there's a few little things you left out that could add to the lore as well as add to the nostalgia for store shelves. The Insecticons and Jetfire. None of them were onboard the Ark or the Nemesis when they crashed. They could be part of the urban legends that your team chase down.
Not that Bali is near the North American continent but the Insecticons could've made their way to NA after activating. I'm fairly certain they activated on their own. So they'd be active during the events of your story. They could also be part of season two while your group goes around the world.
Jetfire was found in arctic (as opposed to Antarctic) ice so that's a road trip they could take. He could've been awakened by humans at some point and even be who takes your team around the world for season two. He wants to find his old friend Starscream. He's also from a time when Cybertronians were more neutral and not all 'bots or 'cons or something like that. So he'd fit in nicely with your team.
Maybe the remains of Inferno and Quickstrike could be one story. Maybe they can even be reactivated. They're both idiots so it's not like they could spoil anything. Rampage, Depthcharge, Dinobot, Terrorsaur, Scorponok, Tigerhawk, Dinobot 2, Dinobot clones, Tarantulas, Ravage, Waspinator parts and Transmutate could also be found as remains. You can also incorporate the other protoforms somehow. That is if you want to use parts of Beast Wars.
Maybe when the Axalon and Darksyde went back in time, they also went to a different Earth and the actions of the Beast Wars are why the events of G1 doesn't actually take place as normal for your story. (insert the Hulk explaining time travel from Avengers: Endgame here even if it goes against what Megatron seen when he blasted that mountain while he was viewing the golden disc)
Also maybe some of the other Cybertronians found during their travels could be unused G1 toys like the Omnibots, the Powerdashers, the deluxe Insecticons and Autobots. That could be another way to add some G1 nostalgia even though they're some of the bottom of the barrel for G1 toys not used as cartoon characters. It would just be interesting to use some of them for some side story fun. Better yet, use the twins Natron and Freezon.
And maybe Nightbird gets made anyway as I don't think she was made as a direct result of Cybertronians being on Earth and was more of a technology proof of concept test gone wrong. So that's another nostalgia pop.
SO basically, you're pitching Cyberverse again. Ark crashed on Earth but nobody woke up, small group of Protagonists/Autobots searching for it, flashback episodes to give us the big name characters; randomly encountering Decepticons, basically a roadtrip esque story where they find hints to lead to their destination.
Sure there is the "But new characters." Bit, but otherwise this largely just sounds like the how the first season of the most recent "kids" Show started; which still sounds like "something we've seen before."
I would go for a more mid-2000s approach to making a new Transformers show. Keep the core premise of Autobots and Decepticons stumbling onto Earth, but with a largely unique cast and a different, deeper source of conflict than just energon. Admittedly, though, I don't have much of an idea for any specifics yet.
Sounds interesting, so a S2 pitch or a follow up would be nice
Idea for the human characters: car thief tries to steal one of the scroungers. Or a homeless teen who hides in one of the scroungers.
Scrsper sounds like Rhynox personality wise, Mudslinger sounds like Dinobot, Hightail sounds like Prime Arcee, that's my understanding of similar personality comparisons. I'd love to watch the show and it sounds like a good pitch also I'm patiently waiting for more Beast Wars reviews.
What if for season two they find out that the government found the Ark and have the transformers at different bases and they have to go from base to base trying to find Optimus and along the way they free some of them amd there you can have your dilemma with the medic when he finds Megatron and tries to destroy him
My idea is for series on pretenders, like tfa cybertron hate organics and the pretenders who are scouts/scientists observing organic worlds are really dislike and bullied. At the start of world, the pretenders (autobots and decepticons) leave cybertron for Earth. When the war comes to earth, only 4 pretenders still live, metalhawk, landmine, waverider and bludgeon. The pretenders end up fighting each other for leadership of pretenders, autobots pretenders dead, decepticon pretenders (who were mutated to part organic) sealed into the Earth.
The autobots optimus prime, perceptor, and first aid(female) learn about Earth through the pretenders experiences human lives and will have to stop the decepticon (bludgeon, slipstream, lugnut, reflector and shockwave) from released the decepticon pretenders from their prisons
(Decepticon pretenders are more monster/mythical creatures: bomburst camazotz, carnivac werewolf, octopunch kraken,etc)
Essentially its a monster hunting show mixed with a Tokusatsu (metalhawk, landmine and waverider human persona are basically a power rangers/super sentai team)
Very exciting and would love to see robot modes wich is my high point for any new transformers series

So, rag-tag team of unaligged peeps (with a random con in there) road tripping across the US and possibly other continents with natural disasters and run-ins with other cons and bots as the Team band together in the end. It would be a good concept (namely on the kids side of things) for kids learning the geography and other landmarks and stuff around the world. Of course it can also be good for possibilities of growing teamwork and such. Tis nice.
I really like that idea you hatched with that there are new characters that barely anyone knows that can have their chance to shine while trying to find the Energon going to different places. I am interested on how season 2 would be like there.
In my instance, I'm picking up where TFP: Predacon Rising & the last episode of R.I.D. 2015 left off, but in an alternate timeline----, thanks to the RB season 1 finale.

an idea for the villain a decepicon that wants either wants rule the universe or wants the throne as emperor of destruction from megatron and make the humans a group of runaways who are first encountered by hightail or excellion bond with the team

i wanna see how the characters might look. What kind of art style would you use? 2D or 3D?
Personally I would have multiple factions fighting ( like a true world war) for territory but ultimately it just becomes a battlr for survival and spreading throught space
