This is a portrait of a beautiful girl with a very nice smile...This portrait was really nice to do, relaxing job.... The picture was good, the light in the image too and had some delicate and soft shadows that helped to get a good result...

Graciela, at the end of each of your portrait videos I view, I just take a deep breath and am amazed and in awe at how each and every one of the portraits you complete are breath taking. I have watched many a video and I prefer your work. I like the way you smudge in the initial eye and lip color. Now please tell me, the red "pencil" you use for primarily the fine detail of the eyes, is it colored pencil? That is how it looks to me. I don't think it is graphite. I would think regular graphite would leave a sheen that leave an undesirable effect. So are/is it colored pencil? Thank you very much and keep posting more of your wonderful videos. They serve as my evening entertainment! I can watch them over and over again!

The pencil I use for sketching is Pitt pastel from Faber Castle or Stabillo..
Is good to use warm colors. Ocre, etc.
I'm preparing some lessons, or more advices, but it's a project on progress.

Actuellement je te sur les 3 portraits de mes petits enfants. Je ne sais pas comment arrêter leurs vêtements pour que ça fasse joli. Dois je aller jusqu en bas de la feuille ou faire des genres hachures. Je dessine aux pastels sur un fond noir. Merci beaucoup. Vos portraits sont très réalistes tout en gardant le côté dessin

Great work, I always love you final portrait but I need to praise your freehand, wow. I can see the confidence and the perfection you have earned being a street portrait artist, I love it and also envy it. Just one question : you always use red lead holder for highlight the eyes, what is it??? my guess is charcoal.

just a question, un the minute 6:08 of the video,What pencil is that one? thank u! i'm a big fan!
All of your portraits are very pretty. In this video I can see that you used a Carbothello pastel pencil in a very soft brown tone. I am guessing you are choosing a neutral that will work with hair and skin tones for your outline sketch using a pastel pencil brand that has a fairly hard tip like the Carbothello or the Pitt Pastell pencils. Am I getting close?

Praktfullt...! Jeg beundrer deg, Graciela, din måte å tegne og male er uovertrufne. Også jeg tegner portretter, men har ikke så mye erfarenhet med farvens behandling, spesiellt med pastelfarver. Akkurat nå begynner jeg med å interessere meg for tegne portretter med farve, og å ha sett videoene dine er noe jeg gleder meg for. Det som jeg beundrer mest er at du ikke trenger dempe alle toner, men lar mange av dem i deres originell utseende, så skaper du en rik kontrast mellom sterke linjer, myke toner og papprets farven. Gratulerer med deg, og takk for at du deler dine kunskaper...!

A nice happy little tree... a nice little cloud.. :))
But the characteristics of this little girl are the sort of "drooping" sides of her eyes, and this doesn't appear on her portrait... !
And also, could we see, when the demonstration is finished, the photo of the model placed next to the portrait , please ? That would be great ! Thank you !!!
