Throttle body you can use depends on vehicle/ecu. I know for a fact you can use silver OR gold blades in 05-06 GTO applications. I'm not sure on pricing these days but golds have been substantially cheaper in the past than silvers. May run into issues on other vehicles, but just wanted to confirm that for all the LS2 goat people.
Sup brotha! I was wondering if you could help me out with my throttle body change on my 2002 Yukon I put a TBSS intake and I’m upgrading my throttle body to a 90mm I got a GM LS3 90mm with a xlink but the problem is that my stock throttle body has 2 connections 6/2pin I was wondering if maybe a 6/2 pin to 6 pin adapter to the ls3 throttle body should work?
If you already have a LS2 engine with the 90mm TB, then going to the Dorman LS2 intake would probably be smaller gains. Though the larger displacement of the LS2 is going to respond better to the increased air flow, vs the 5.7L, especially if you port the runners like I did. But I can't say exactly how much of a power gain. If you do it, definitely share the results!
Yes, I kept the LS1 rail and used Fast 36 lb injectors. I initially ran those injectors on the stock LS6 intake, and then swapped them over to the Dorman LS2 intake.
Thanks for the great video. I am going to put an truck is engine in my 66 Chevelle. This looks like it would be a nice upgrade from the ugly truck intake. Less clearance problems also. What do you think? Thanks Eric
I used the stock LS6 fuel rails but with the FAST 36lb injectors. The injectors were installed on the dyno since you'll need a tune change for them to run correctly. But for the first 500 miles while I was breaking in the motor, I used the stock LS6 injectors. Though obviously no WOT pulls.
UPDATE: Check out the dyno video to see the power gains of the DLS2 intake vs the LS6 intake. ruclips.net/video/Tkeyyd0Ycg0/видео.html
This is the best video comparison on these manifold.. Thanks!!!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
I was asking for lower manifold on Saturn i300 v-6 LS2, need torque specs😢

Good info on the other applications!

Can you run cable driven throttle body on the dorman
jerry fife yes I believe you can.
i wonder how much power gain to have from ls2, ls2 intake to dorman ?

I have an LS4 , what intake can I put on there??
will ls1 injectors and rails bolt up to this?
Yes, I kept the LS1 rail and used Fast 36 lb injectors. I initially ran those injectors on the stock LS6 intake, and then swapped them over to the Dorman LS2 intake.
Thanks for the reply and info, piecing together a ls1 and I have oem ls1 rails and injectors and want to use this intake with them.
How much of a power gain did you get?
Check out the dyno video for a full analysis of the results (LS6 vs DLS2 intake). ruclips.net/video/Tkeyyd0Ycg0/видео.html
What about us LS1 guy who run a cable throttle body?
Yes, the Dorman LS2 has provisions for mounting a cable throttle body also.
LS1 engines also came with rectangular port heads? What can I get for cathedral heads?
I can't comment too much on square port heads, but my application has cnc ported 243/799 cathedral port heads from Texas Speed.

What do you think?
Thanks
Eric
I think that sounds like a solid plan and should be an awesome ride when you're done!
What injectors did you use. LS1 style ev1 or Ls2 ev6??
LS1 style. Fast 36 lb injectors.
Hey did you use the stock ls6 fuel rails and injectors?

A fraction of what cost, these shits are more expensive than a FAST 102.
