    Awesome that you are getting all this done. But I’m surprised you didn’t go with the sensor that attaches to the brake line to gather and study brake data. Also, why did you leave the huge and probably heavy abs pump in the bike. I would have assumed all of the pumping and pump would have been removed.

    • @indegoadult
      @indegoadult 4 года назад

      My guess is its so that they don't need to either flash or switch out the ECU, so leaving the pump in and working likely keeps the ECU from throwing errors, probably a higher tier upgrade to remove it?

    • @indegoadult
      @indegoadult 4 года назад

      Also if he wants to put the abs lines back in at any point having the pump still there makes that easier I guess,

      Might install brake pressure this winter. Abs pump is still in place as it’s a main part of the electronic’s package. For now I’m keeping the standard ECU as we are adjusting the engine brake mapping.
      One of the next steps is to fit the Yoshimura race ECU with loom kit, this will allow to remove the ABS pump.

    One of the guys mentioned the possibility of running a brake pressure sensor off the H-line. Is there a possibility of adding that to your on board laps to work with the lean angle/throttle input sensors? The brake lever cameras are great but it's still very hard to get an idea of the brake pressures that you are trailing off with.

    Hello Sylvain, I didn’t even imagine that modification would take such in depth dissembling 😱. This is quite a nice video! I have a question: If ABS is known to be safer when hard braking on track and for trail braking as well, why would you choose to remove it? Is it because it will give you a better braking feeling without it or maybe is too restrictive in terms of performance for a Super Pro like you ?

    • @SylvainGuintoli
      @SylvainGuintoli  4 года назад +2

      ABS is safer on the road and it’s ok on track too. Without the ABS on track, it gives full control to the rider to brake super hard, which is nice, feels like a race bike

      Nice video (on the link) The power and torque curves with and without throttle blades restrictions show that this bike was factory restricted, I’m guessing something to do with power or emission levels for US market.
      Mine wasn’t like this stock, the curves were nice and smooth, peaking where they should (around 13K+ rpm) for power. Power difference can be explained with the different dynos + I had a soft race tire on mine during the Dyno Test (shows less power than road tire)
