  • While mowing My John Deere L120 suddenly started heavily smoking out of the exhaust, thick white smoke. I found the oil level was well over the full mark on the dipstick and smelled like Gasoline. So here is the Video on the repair.

Hi Ted, I also have a JD L120 Does your mower run better with the shutoff before the fuel pump and the fuel filter after it? Reason I'm asking is the fuel line , as it's set up now , the hose before the filter looks like there is a piece of plastic or metal lodged in the line and she wont start up. I was thinking if I can cut off where it's plugged and then hook up a shut-off then put the filter where you have yours (or actually I could put it after the shut-off and before the fuel pump maybe? Also, what size shut-off would fit the line? Do you have a link to that shut-off from Amazon? Thanks and love your videos !!

Did it fix the problem? Is it confirmed that it was the faulty fuel pump? Thanks.
