game is quite good at micro level. but at macro its pure shit. when there is 80 ship in battle ai shits hard. torpedo vis range is amazingly bad ships do miss way toooo much. anything below bbs are just waste. economy and ui is quite bad. but in small scale game is amazingly fun to play. they must focus on tech, eco and ui.
I think it started out as a naval design & sandbox game, and the whole campaign feature was added way later. I completely agree, a lot of it there doesn't make sense, but my biggest complaint is the absence of even basic fleet tactics. As soon as you're dealing with a somewhat larger formation, everything goes out the window, ships panic, run into each other, torpedo each other, and it's more or less mayhem. I'm ok with the accuracy, especially at range, it seems pretty on-par with what to expect from ships of that period.
@@StoriesandStrategieswithTerry yep when there are more then 8 ships its no more game but stick sim :D. on the other hand no ships are quite accurate esp big ones. as you dont need to lob at mid range instead you can directly shoot and hit. if you ask me way to fix it is. slowing the game giving better tactical look from top at another screen giving commands according. looking at enemy ships and their course of action. then you do line screens and arrange torpedo lines according to enemy course. instead of click click click turn turn random torps.
That was ridiculously easy ......... if the AI had gone 10 guns and some armour because theyd already lost before the torpedo drops
watching videos like this reminds me not to buy the game, A.I is broken.
repulse is a battle cruiser and would easily beat a cruiser and destroyer
