Rest in Peace to Stanley ‘Buckwheat Zydeco’ Dural, Jr., Ambassador of Zydeco. I have had some really great memories of seeing Buckwheat at "Tippitina's" and the "Jazz Fest" in New Orleans. He will be missed.
Mike Melchione is backing him on Guitar and he is an awesome player. Was fortunate enough to take a few lessons from Mike back in the late 80's early 90's. Cant say enough about his talent, he used to play with Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan earlier in his career. Go Mike!
I miss your Uncle Buck too! He did the best version of "Hey Joe" I ever heard. Every time he was near our town, my niece, her friend and I would go!! Great, great musician!
Oooh yeah, this is an excellent version I like Jimi's guitar though can't duplicate that. Buckwheat Zydeco is a great performer was looking for his song, "I'm on the Wonder" it's my favorite.
No mystery, Why would this "not" be a keyboard tune? It's blue's and my bloody Valentine, thanks to Tim Rose and Billy Roberts oh yes & J Marshall Hendrix
My absolute favorite version of "Hey Joe"...and there are a bunch of good ones.

I saw this on TV and it was my first real exposure to any zydeco musicians. It blew me away! Who knew an accordion could rock like that?
My favorite "sophisticated" version of one of the all time great electric blues songs. Pitch perfect. Sublime.
from the very first time my brother turned me on to this version of the classic hendrix hey joe, i'm still in awe..

this totally and forever redeems the accordion from all that polka horror.
Pretty cool, but it would have been a lot better if he set his accordion on fire at the end.
I've got it on Cd...it's just amazing
RIP/Buckwheat /rest in peace
