Back in 2001 Mike was constantly talking about Deftones as one of his biggest inspirations... seeing him and Chino collaborating is just amazing.
Same with MGK and linkin park.. This song feels like a grandpa-father-son fandom deal xD It's great.

This song is a masterpiece. Chino's part gives me Goosebumps and MGK's hypes you up and lifts you while Mike's verse is so out of this worldy confident and shows just what he's capable of without giving too much away

chino is simply one of the best singers on the scene. He always manages to make everything ethereal, atmospheric and heavenly with his voice, and even when he screams he manages to give the right aggressive but at the same time angelic atmosphere.

Sorry about that, but your comment reminded me about great part from one of Russian rappers. He’s not that popular even in Russian community, but he also doesn’t stops at rapping. The quote above means basically “are you rapper? no, I’m musician”. I think this also describes Mike.. and it’s such a beautiful thought (imho).

Darth Anakin deftones have been my favorite band since their introduction. I'm a 40 yr old man and Chinos voice gives me chills on so many of their songs. I was crushed when Chi passed and I'm sorry to say that Sergio will never compare to Chi! I actually started playing Bass because of Chi. Played in a band for a few years too. I adore your art style, very colorful and expressive, imaginative, and plain kickass, whether it's delving into the abstract, doodles, or cartoony fabrications. You doing what you feel you need to do as an artist, as a human being, inspire me to embrace not who I should be, but who I want to be. So my goal now is to become my own hero, somebody I can believe in. Now I'm reading about you donating to charity. I'm relistening to all the stuff you put out solo these last couple of years. Wow. I always postponed getting back into gaming because 'it's probably not worth my time', or so I thought. Chester is one of the greatest singers of all time. Period. He has this triple layered voice, this higher then normal pitched voice we all love. He can go from a great ballad to an amazing metalsong or he can still perform a ballad like Rolling in the deep by adele(Would love to see you react to that) after more then 1 hour of screaming and scringing and singing! Like how?. Sing like an angel and scream like a beast! I love how you find all the early stuff you listened (except One More light which was a recent song) to already different from eachother as Linkin Park goes way different further into their career. They never stoped expirimenting, and thats where mostly Mike Shinoda comes in, he is a mastermind, a workaholic, an Emcee, guitarist, vocalist.. You name it! He wrote a big majority of Linkin Park's stuff. Ofcourse Chester has some lyric credits but Mike man, He has it all too.
Kingethan12 agree, its definitely true, they've come from a great place of passion for music, for the lyrics, for writing what they love, for being different and unique, and it's exactly what this song and debut album represent, and to me is top notch music all the way, I've been hearing all the songs from Post Traumatic and I was thinking that Mike could be a great successor to Chester as the main vocalist for Linkin Park, is a certain different tonality but the vibe and energy from Mike's music really does line up to what Linkin Park is, and I think he would do great as the main vocalist, just thinking
