Nothing Makes Sense Anymore | Lyrics
I used to know where the bottom was
Somewhere far under the ocean waves
Up on a ledge I was looking down
It was far enough to keep me safe
But the ground was cracked open
Threw me in the ocean
Cast me out away at sea
And the waves are still breaking
Now that I awaken
No one’s left to answer me
My inside’s out / my left is right
My upside’s down / my black is white
I hold my breath / and close my eyes
And wait for dawn but there’s no light
Nothing makes sense anymore anymore
Nothing makes sense anymore anymore
I used to sleep without waking up
In a dream I made from painted walls
I was a moment away from done
When the black spilled out across it all
And my eyes were made sober
World was turned over
Washing out the lines I’d seen
And my heart is still breaking
Now that I awaken
No one’s left to answer me
I’m a call without an answer
I’m a shadow in the dark
Trying to put it back together
As I watch it fall apart
Chester is right. You're the most talented songwriter of a generation.
Asfira Saraswati he is still alive in our hearts
True that
Dammmmmmmmm true
#chesterISproud
That's the spirit. There's the beauty.
Great song! As allways. But this time I'm little bit worried about Mike. This lyrics are so deep and we all as a LP soldiers have to me worried aboute Mike. Please don't ignore this comment. Mike stay strong!
He is strong. He is gonna be okay. Like all of us. Someday
He said that the album has a progression from where he was at the beginning, and that journey ends up in another place. 3 EP songs and this one are the first ones on the record.
Then is crossing a line (number 8) where he asks if its alright to move on, and he does.
Of course he is still struggling, but I think he has found an escape through music / art and we should be happy and not worried for him. Enjoy it man! Looks like he is starting to as well.
This is not a goodbye now I'm not going away no I dont have the answers but I do have the faith. ~Mike Shinoda (in "Crossing a Line")
I hope so! I will not handle something like that. But okay, I don't think so,
Soldiers stay strong and dont hesitate. It say that hang the old life doesnt make scence anymore. Its time to think things over, to make a restart
Chester is proud, trust me❤
Ann-Kathrin Hildebrandt yeah RIP LINKIN PARK
Yes very, very proud!❤️🤗
Chester is dead, trust me
abloane but chester is proud of him in heaven
abloane he is always alive with us
We should be worried about Mike too. Can u imagine what he must be going through?
@Karen T lol
He's doing better than most I suppose
Chester was always the real problem case. Mike was always more balanced. Not to worry.

Mikes going to be fine he’s rocking out this awesome music and we need him love linking park 😍🥰
Do people realize M. Shinoda is a legend too?
ACTING LIKE THEY FORGOT ABOUT FORT MINOR
he was pretty much the backbone of linkin park. He made LP what it is.
@@jaybird2774 what new singer you're talking about? Sorry I stopped following LP after chester's death.
@@jaybird2774 oh ok. It's most likely they won't. It's over now.
All LP is..
Mike, we are healing with you. Thank you so much for this.
Mike, on a mission to pull all the fans out of grief with him, instead of abandoning them to the pain. Real heroes are hard to find these days.
Trish Shields They're hard to find because they don't wear capes
True story... This is some kind of therapy for Mike and for me anyway. This is hard to imagine Chester will never stand on the stage... That pain that sadness is like unlimited pain. "who cares when the light go down, when the sky have a million stars?" I do.
Trish Shields very well said Trish. Xx
This helps relieve my pain about chester just a sliver. Still think about him 24/7. But its nice knowing mike is being strong for us and him
Can I like your comment more than once ? Ytb is ridiculous . I cant ❤❤❤❤❤
I struggle with anxiety and depression on a daily basis.
I spent my most of my teens, my 20s and now most of my 30s listening to Linkin Park and Mike.
Their music has gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life.
It's part of what's kept me around.
I know Mike may never see this but on the off chance he does, thank you for giving me a light with your music when I've been in deep darkness.
Same here I practically grew up on linkin park fort minor and any project these individuals touched. They are literally ingrained in my DNA. Chester may not gone and helped me with my life up until now, but now Mike is here to help us all heal and get us through the rest of our days. Thank you so much fir both of you alls contribution. Without you both I wouldn't be here today. Your differences are what helped me find my true self because we are all mixes looking for harmony and balance.
All the best to you brothers, hope it gets better
❤
Hey my friend I am the original singer of Linkin Park before Chesterton about I am going to come out with new just for people like you that have been around thank you I appreciate people like you telling me it helps them with that stuff good stuff I am the original singer with mike we are putting new stuff together hold steady
I some times wonder if l wrote the lyrics or heard them first. They mean that much to me.
I say this man deserves the world for putting his pain out on a silver platter for all of us to understand our own a little better. It's beyond brave! In a way his music to me right now is what I believe Linkin Park's music was to thousands of kids years ago.
I have been a fan since I heard Crawling when we had K-Rock and Howard Stern was the morning show. I'm now 43. I have listened to LP in my 20's, 30's and still am. LP was the 1 band I would always listen to. Though both good times and bad.
Hanna what a beautiful message
@@RZ9933 And we won't stop listening to them, nor stop crying when we hear that one note or line.
I am 18 years old and I have been listening to Linkin Park since I was like 9-10 years old and I will never stop listening to them.... Just a great band that made my childhood a whole lot better.
* millions of kids, still and will forever

True talent is being able to write a song that the entire world can sing along to.
Or at least the ones that feel this in their bones. Also the Mike supporters. We’ve
Always been here.
Mike Shinoda is a GENIUS!
so true
And legend that never sleeps 😂😌
Sérgio Rodrigues since day 1
Still breaks me to thing that Mike is the only sole lead vocal for LP. Stay strong buddy :'(
Well, Brad sings as well, he sung on Until It Breaks. And Phoenix sings backing vocals live. So they have enough vocalists. Mike doesn't have to sing alone. :)
And Joe sung on "Dave SBeat". His most magnificent performance.
There was this guy named Dave Grohl no one realized could sing and history was made.
Soooo good Mike
Keep going
my best friend died yesterday.. and this song.. these lyrics.. this vibe.. is the only thing that makes sense to me right now
I hope things have improved for you by now! And may his/her soul rest in paradise
I feel ya ..may the time doesnt help as quick as we would like to ..music has peace to it
I’m so sorry 😢 mine passed away in September of 2021 :(
You are a spring of ideeas, love and happines for me. For all of us.
Cause you make sense.
You make perfect sense. 🖤 You’re a lyrical genius! Great imagery too.
"I'm a call without an answer" makes me think of call/answer vocals in music. Mike is the call and Chester was the answer.
This is really cool to consider since in the begining of the song he says that after the disaster there's no one left to answer him
That just blew my mind and hit me right me right in the feels.. I think you are on to something!!
The comment made me cry specially since i read it just after hesung the line.
nothing gets past you does it?
Personally I thought Crossing A Line was the best song on the album but each to his own.
I fought bone cancer in my skull, 8 surgerys in 3 years, i fought/fight alcohol and drug addiction, i fight ptsd, i fight mental illnes. We, people fight so much, this earth fight so much. The bushfires in this video for example. We all fight our own battles. But some people like mike shinoda, they fight with you, i feel mike fights with me. Im so thankfull for that. If anyone reads this, if i can help with anything please let me know!
You're amazing man 🥺🥹🥹🥰🫂🤍 love you!
These two songs are so beautiful. Mike, I love your voice and the production is incredible. I can't believe how genius you are
Also, the videos are insanely creative. I love them
Can someone give this man a grammy.. New album is dope!!
Babar Malik yeeessss please!! He/they deserve(s) it so much!!!
He has 2
Fail
They’d only give it to him if Jay Z is involved since that dude owns the fucking Grammys.
I never thought it was fair they gave them a Grammy for the encore ep instead of METEORA the actual album. It feels like it was just JAY throwing them a bone when they don’t need him at all. (At least creatively) the music and movie industry is just all around corrupt. Fuck em. Who needs a shitty little statue when you have fans with endless love and support.
Elyjah McVay if the 5 songs so far are anything to go on, then the album will be incredible

I thank Mike Shinoda for his music. I lost my only son. 5 months old. 5-8-18. Mikes music helped me make it through many nights of drinking and contiplating suicide. thankyou mike shinoda. RIP Zander. A.K.A LIL BUDDY.
🥺🫂
im sorry for your loss.
Sorry, that’s so unfair. All the best
Anything is better than suicide live for your son. Hope you’re well
I can't imagine that pain. I hope you're still around.
He's staying strong. What a great guy.
David Hudson hopefully...
David Hudson but he's singing nothing makes sense anymore
I think he means that he's at least letting some of his feelings out which is good
David Hudson you know he is crying his heart out on the inside😟
I agree that he is stayin strong. I am a survivor of suicide (3X's) and attempts. Finding my way to God. I can't wait for his upcoming CD.
There's something so different about this album. It's so pure
Ankita Agarwal amazing song
Love the deeper meaning in this song. Had me tearing up just reading the lyrics along with the music.
I feel like LP and Mike always had that deep meanings in their songs.. made me respect them even more!
I wanna relate so bad. But I can’t it’s physically impossible
Then I can honestly say that I do relate to all of the music that Mike Shinoda is doing. Because that's why I'm doing my own thing with my music too and it's all good man for real.
I love the handheld camera clips. They make Mike seem like a real person.

Suicide is not selfish.
It is not "taking the easy way out" and it is not cowardly.
Depression is an illness. You do not call people selfish when their illness kills them. You do not blame someone with a disease for succumbing to their disease.
Each person suffers differently.
It is not always easy to "just get help" and like any other diseases and illnesses, sometimes the treatments don't work.
Depression is real, it is debilitating, it is painful.
It's hard to explain how you could feel connected to a person that you don't even know, however his music and passion in life was always something I relate to since i was a child.
Rest in peace my childhood legend.
R.I.P, CHESTER.
ADIÓS CHESTER BENNINGTON 1976-2017 | LINKIN PARK 2018...
❤️👽🎤🎸🎹🎼
Christopher Ramírez right.. people are assholes and they bother suicides in life and even after they die
It is, in fact, selfish. Hence your doing it for yourself. Selfish. If you couldn't do something because of somebody else you're not thinking of you aka not selfish.
You don't understand. It is an illness. You are not in your own mind when you do it. I urge you to read and do a research on it so that we wouldn't see your horrible comments
Brian Shannon it isn’t selfish. Because in that persons mind at the time, they think they’re doing it for those around them, because they believe that they’ll be better off without that person. Learn about depression before you comment.
AndrewPlays thank you
You can still see how Chester's Death affects the life and the mood of Mike. Same for me, there's no day where I don't think about Chester. Much Love
Coldrak3r same here
It's good to see he's making music to vent instead of (hopefully) not drowning it all out with booze and drugs.
Indeed, I saw sadness inside the lyrics, hope they will stay strong, Hearing chester's death really broke my heart. I really love the voice of Chester than anyone else. But I also do hope that LP could raise up powerfully soon! With love from bottom of my heart. And do your best, Mike, we will surely support you.
same here bro..
yes of course, you're life has been affected just as much by chester's death as shinoda.... (sarcasm)
My inside's out, my left is right, my upside's down.
That makes sense to me.
Skyern Aklea totally does man.
"What if Heaven was Hell & Vice versa" Pastor Troy XD
Skyern Aklea Me too
what about "my black is white"?
Douglas I think it is in reference to how he sees things. Like let's take how people see things in black and white. Two defined terms both opposites of each other. But now he's saying that what he thought was the one was actually the other. Like some confusion. Hence the name "Nothing Makes Sense Anymore"
Mike Shinoda, a true talent. I've spent the last 20 years listening LP. I will continue listening LP and Mike's songs for the rest of my life. Thank you for your art. ♥️
I've been hooked since tje day I saw them kicking around rapping at a party in phx way too many years ago. Didn't know them then but heard and saw the talent. Then not many years later they blew up and it has been my favorite band since! Amazing talent and a very sad loss. He lives on through Mike and all of our love for what they have done and Mike still does.
@@randallnier3111 wow it was so lucky for you to actually see them like that, before they were popular! What were they like?
Im sure that Chester is really proud of you, wherever he is!

Vitor Dalcero I'm sure chester is vomiting while he's watching his"friend"
Vitor Dalcero if he's not a christian then he is burning in hell
Mother of God if he's not a Christian he's being eaten by worms like everyone else
Make linkin park great again!!
He is in hell unfortunately :(
My god this guy's lyrics always get to me! I'm in awe
I love the symbolism of this video...starts off as a spectator to a disaster, followed by Mike trudging through the aftermath of said disaster while he's trying to piece together what has happened, short clips can seen that represent memories of said disaster, then it ends off on the road again like at the beginning of the video as a way of saying life goes on...
And it's all paralleled by his experiences within the year...it's heartfelt, deep, and emotional...
No shyt Sherlock 🕵️♀️..you win the internet for the day.
Thanks for explaining honey❤️
Very good interpretation, exactly what I thought as well!
Aetheri You are the type of people I like in these comment sections.
Aetheri
Nice job with the symbolism!! I really didn't notice the video had symbolism too (most because I listen to the lyrics more) but now I see what it means!!
Dear Mike Shinoda. Sorry for my bad english, because I from Russia. Thank you for this songs, I like it. I very miss to Chester...and sometimes I'm crying...
Thank for songs!❤😊
Don’t give up. Mike S.
it remains weird to see mike alone ;(

They saved a generation
Kevin Jobs some of them, yes..
Kevin Jobs they made the generation better
Mike and Chester and the entire band certainly saved me growing up. Linkin park came out a few years after my parents divorce and I have no idea where I would be without their music and brilliant minds. Keep making music Mike. We are here for you on this new journey.
Yeah the 80s, 90s and thebearly 2000s
Agreed shame they can't do that for my generation
We love you Mike
Honestly this to me is the best song on the whole album. Yet its getting the least attention. This song was very well made with its message
Cailon Delano I completely agree
Yeah this is definitely the most powerful one by far.
Agreed. This one really hit me, and continues to do so.
What? And i cant even decide which on is the best! They all are outstanding
I feel the same way about this song it’s one of my favorites
Mike Shinoda is one of the best songwriters I’ve ever seen. Nice job, dude 👌🏼
Kylo Slays This is honestly great writing here.
Chester IS singing with Mike. It's not just you. It's not an illusion of the mind. I can feel Chesters presence in the song.. As if I was sitting in the studio as the song was being recorded. Not only does Mike's main vocal track sound like Chester., But there is definitely someone in the background vocals. @Mike_Shinoda you guys really did save a generation. And saving a generation means you saved the world. We (your listeners) always knew inside that we had a divine purpose in this world, but the coldness of the world and the isolation we felt caused us that one step closer to the edge, and we would have broke. It was the music poured from LP's souls; it was the feelings translated into perfect words, right up to that edge... And into the next track. We learned whether consciously or subconsciously, to keep moving forward... To the next track... The next day.... The next light.
Well said.
You couldn't say it better ~ Sadie
Cody Herndon I can fucking feel his presence too 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
There Is another voice , it definitely isn't. Trick of the mind. He is in this song it's like he wanted Mike to know
I used to sleep without waking up
In a dream I made from painted walls
I was a moment away from done

I swear that you can clearly hear Chester in this part of the song
Some of mikes songs make me worried about him, but Chester has him, he'll catch mike if he stumbles, he's in the music videos, just look at the sky, that's Chester right there.
Mike stay strong
This genuinely brought tears in my eyes
Chesters last few songs made me worry ...
There's little probably that Chester be in heaven.
I could hear Chesters voice in the back ground in my mind 🙏 beautiful song mike CONTINUOUS BLESSINGS AND STRENGTH TO YOU , ROB, DAVE,BRAD,JOE,TALINDA AND ALL HIS KIDS 🙏
Suz Gue Shit you're right I can hear Chester!
Don't forget Joe!
Alexander Barker thank you for reminding me I did forget I corrected it 🙏
My thoughts exactly.
Suz Gue I wanted to say the same. I really did hear it, its uncanny how much Mike and Chester grew together...
Its hard to wake up one day and realize your important ones are not in this world anymore, feeling lost and frustrated for not being able to do anything. The world becomes black and all your thoughts are for them...but you...the people out there crying for your lost, you are not alone, even if it seems there is no way to end up the pain, even if your eyes wont dry after years, you never walk alone. Be strong and stand up firmly, for your love ones, live all what they couldnt, cry the same amount they did, and smile because you were able to have them in your life. Be your own´s life strength so you can be the strength for the rest. Even if i dont know you, im here for you, the ones reading this. Do never forget that the brightest day always comes after the darkest night. Be well, all of you.
So, my dad died and I feel in a very deep black hole because none of my friends did understand how it felt. I felt needless. I started listening to LinkinPark more intensly. I helped me. I quite ok now because they helped with threre meaningful lyrics. I felt so bad when he died because I felt like I abused his love for everything and everybody...
Beautiful
Thank you
🥰🥰
Thank you my friend
i love the simplicity in this video you dont need expensive camera's to tell us a story and how you feel. This is what an artist is all about. Chester would be so proud !!
The fires left an amazing scene last year. I live where this was shot. I'm glad he included it to help tell his story.
Chester's death was sad, terrible, that was a real lost! But lets be serious, I would never give Mike to get Chester back, and if Mike died in the place of chester, that would be as sad as chester's death, LP will never be complete without them both
Well said! And the same goes to every other member of the band... people act as if Chester was the only one who made the music and the others were there pretty much just to look pretty and fill up the space, but the truth is each and every one of them contributed so much to the music and it wouldn't have been the same without any one of them.
Well said fam. I really miss him. His voice changed my perception of rock music completely...
They are LP.....include mike or chester or han or dave or rob or brad....
What a moronic comment.
Amen to that bro 🙏
Amazing!!!!! I've ALWAYS used your(Linkin Park) music to get me thru different rough stretches in my life, ALL of your new songs since Looking for an Answer Hit me SOOOOO hard, I lost my 15 yr old son 10/7/16 to suicide. These songs are putting words, that have been hard to find, to all these feelings and emotions I have been dealing with these last 18 months. It breaks my heart knowing all too well the pain and emotions you, the rest of the guys and Chester's family are going thru. Only advise is just take things day by day at you speed and worry about you and you family. If anybody starts telling you that you should be "over it" and "move on already" tell them to get F'n LOST cuz your grief is yours and nobody else's!!! Much Love & Respect Mike!!!!!!!!!
Woody119 I'm so sorry for what you've been through. *HUG*
Woody119 you are so strong ...continu .
responses like yours and the messages in Mike's new music are keeping me from suicide, the hurt that i would bring is unmeasurable. But at least that makes sense.
It's the last thing one should ever be thinking of. Pretty bad vicious cycle. That leaves even your loved ones in the loop of misery and depression.
Yes, the thought of putting my family and friends thru the emotional roller coaster that I've been is too much to do it myself........to quote a Tupac song "I once contemplated suicide, and woulda tried, but when I held that 9, all I could see was my Mama's eyes"
I can hear Chester singing this... Wonderful work Mike!
The chorus, can hear it too. Anyway, Mike did create a good song here. Keep it up.
This is the 1st song of Mikes that I could instantly feel Chester’s voice! Mike is doing such an amazing job with his loss/grief/healing! I’m touched and honored that he is sharing and allowing us in on his journey! I, just one person, would like to thank you personally, for sharing the good/bad/ugly, and the beautiful raw pain and confusion that comes with loss/healing. Sending a simple THANK YOU, PEACE, LOVE and LIGHT, to you Mike and the LP Family!
I heard it too!
It's been engrained into the very fabric of his being. Incredible.
I can't stop hearing them sing this together now 😭
he could've played it safe and went for the familiar LP sound. he didn't. that takes some serious balls. hats off to him.
After 2 years still loving post traumatic. Truly, Mike Shinoda is one of those modest people we rarely see around us. He never made us realize how much important and talented he was in Linkin Park
Mike, thank you. You have no idea, how much does this mean for me (and probably not only for me). Thank you for sharing your pain with us. We are in pain too.
The reason why I love LP so much, is that your lyrics were always able to express my feelings, my pain, my depression and it was helping me that i knew, that there is someone else, who feels in the same way. You were my best friends since I was 12. Sometimes your songs were the only thing, keeping me from suicide. When Chester died, I felt really bad- I mean really really bad. But your songs are helping me to heal my heart. Again- now I know, that there is someone who is so fucking down and broken as I am because of Chester.
Ive been so broken since his death. Every day i sing LP songs and imagine chester rocking the stage. Mikes songs have helped me somewhat, but chester will still always be gone
Miška Tomčíkova The sensibility makes you understand and feel stronger the life's feelings, even if they are bad or good, as Chester was, an intense person. I lost my grandmother, my favorite singer, (who indirectly helped me a lot with his songs) and my best friend in the past of the last year. I keep trying to find a light through the darkness, and Mike's songs are much powerful, but the intensity of the life is ambiguous and sometimes you just can't get out of your head. Accepting ourselves and absorving life's positive energy everyday is the way to get stronger. Keep it up!
Three's too on my mind, i hope you still strong mike, that's how to help us.
I still feel this comment 100%. 2017 was one of my worst years for many reasons, it’s hard to explain, now nearly eight years later, I am in a severe depression, horrible physical pain after two failed back surgeries, all alone as my friends have abandoned me, and struggling every minute of every day to stay alive. I am mostly alive for my mom, but don’t know how much longer I can do it. I’m an atheist but maybe in some way I can rock out with Chester. I’ll be 38 this year and plan to be gone by 41 like Chester’s age. I am ten years younger than Chester, but if I make it to 41 that will mean my entire last ten years since he died will have been shit (not because of him, but the world is worse without him) and I am just done. 😢
I doubt this was intentional (or was it?), but the electronic synth of his voice makes it sound as though someone's there singing with him. The thought that it may have been done on purpose is killing me inside. RIP Chester. Beautiful work Mike....as always.
Tom Davis Mike seemed to be the brains behind LP. If you heard another voice, it's because he wanted you to hear it. Cheers. Love to LP always.
Mike is a magician, you never know what this master will pull out of his mixed bag. Great tune!
"And my heart is still breaking"
Just an awesome song. Can't describe how beautiful it is.💖
oli. liv not only this one but all of his songs make sense
Amazing, nothing can resplace Chester, but it's amazing to see people like Mike continuing to make such phenomenal music.
To all who believe that lie, which says, Masons have no power:
That dear soul is a clear lie, they still busy doing whatever they are doing (biblically deceiving mankind) and still they have the same if not even more power.
The masons haven+t gone nowhere, their club just in the late 20th century and early 21st century, exploded, meaning went bigger by many souls who became the sell outs. That`s the only reason we have TV s in our homes and the entertainments, through music , movies, sports.
If, as you seem to believe, masons power has gone down the drain, then our so loved TVs won´t show of any kind of picture. It then will be just a pointless box. There be then no daily news.
And there WON´T be then any kind of money in use.
Yep, that`s the picture i will get if the masons power have truly gone down the train.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Without the masons nor the death club of freemasonry, there be not a single soul who`s sell out nor will there be any reason nor a chance to become one.
SOULS, SEARCH: BIBLE + FREEMASONRY.
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
And remember souls:
This world was never what we thought it was, nor it will never be what we wish it be.
Mike shinoda. This goes to you. Don't fall in that dark path Chester did, please don't. We need you to keep Chesters and your legacy alive. Cause when I have kids I want them to know how much of an influence y'all are to my kids. Kick through the depression and seek help. I love ya guys. Stay strong Mike for real. Your music is medicine for us fans that battle through shit each and everyday.
mike K I don't think he's depressed, I just think he's sad that his friend is dead and made this song. If anything, he's the opposite of depressed, killing himself would be the last thing he'd think of doing, because of how Chester's passing made all the fans feel and he sees that, so he wouldn't do the same thing.
if you are in a real depression mostly you can't think about others. it's nothing about being selfish, but you are in a deep depression and just think about to take your life. nothing else makes sense in this moment for you.
i'm afraid that mike ends up in the same way like chester... don't do this mike, pleeeaaase! who cares if someone lights go out? well i do. please mike if so, that you are depressive because of your loss seek help. it's no shame.

I love what Mike has put out since Chester pased. It is so heartfelt and so vulnerable. Its such a horrible thing to go through and i think music is his way of coping with it. Keep up the good work and stay strong and please everyone support him. Xxx

I've just found Mike here. Haven't listened to Linkin Park since Chester leaving us. Mike is just as powerful and meaningful as the gang back in the day. Beautiful.
I discovered linkin park in 2003 when I was young, at that time Mike was my "favourite" of them as a true genious but Chester made love himself for the reasons we all know, he gave the deep and they compensate perfectly each other. Now, after all this, I'm discovering Mike again in a new way that confirm his genius, it's like part of Chester survives in him. As a linkin park fan i felt always "cuddled" by the group and this built the special relationship and feelings that makes everything more sad and personal from a point of view, but on the otherside it makes me more proud of this new work.
I totally agree with you, I've always admired Mike for his talent in all the different fields. It's heartbreaking to see him like this... this guy has always been full of positive energy and I feel really sorry for his loss, I can't imagine what he's going through even nearly after 9 months
What do you mean, Chester "gave the deep"?
Sandtrooper I'm sorry for my English but it's not my native language. I mean that his vocal interpretation along with his suffered life brought the songs on another level of intensity.
Music is my Serenity 😊
Chester, Chester... Only if you hadn't left us, then we would have seen so many golden years of LP ahead. Still can't believe that you're gone...
Nagesh Pattanshetty maybe Chester will have a more profound impact on us all now than 20 more years of albums ever would have.
That chorus is beautiful
Nick H it is
Nick H beautifully written and sung
Who can hear chester singing in chorus of his almost every songs...? We luv u Mike❤
"I'm a call without an answer, I'm a shadow in the dark"
Nothin' makes sense anymore
Anymore
Oh shit that's amazing
Chester it's my favorite singer and always will be.
We miss you Chester...
I miss Chester all the time, but Mike carries on his spirit to help us through all the tough times ahead of us. Thank you, Mike.
This track from Post Traumatic in particular, sounds alot like Chester .
It really reminds me of him. Definitely his style.
Everytime I listen to it, I can't help imagining Chester singing it.
Dear God, why do I hear Chester?
I used to sleep without waking up
In a dream I made from painted walls
I was a moment away from done
When the black spilled out across it all
And my eyes were made sober
World was turned over
Washing out the lines I'd seen
And my heart is still breaking
Now that I awaken
No one's left to answer me
I've listened to this part so many times and I swear you can hear Chester singing
Same
Me too! Wtf.
I don't know r u crazy?
I can hear it in the second verse...
With all said and done.. I still think that mike is one of the most underrated lyricists of this era ... This is a masterpiece
Shinoda is badass, its such a huge loss when Chester passed. Imo he could continue on with linkin park with him as lead vocals, and just other featured artists for new music . I can't wait for more music from shinoda . WAY UNDERRATED.
Well, they've started writing together again, so there probably will be more Linkin Park music.
But I honestly can't see a way for them to continue without getting someone to replace Chester... leaving aside new music what will they do during shows? They can't do most of their songs with Mike singing... as good as he is, he can't hit many of Chester's notes- not to mention many of their songs have 2 vocal parts, so no one can sing them alone. They will have to get someone, even if it's just someone to be on stage with them and not create the music with them.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Not gonna sound patronizing but Mike is better at singing higher notes. He does all harmonies including the chorus and bridge and outro of Catalyst. I wasn't aware of it until I heard multi tracks. Plus we all know No Roads Left where he just killed it. And then he also sings in higher note in rebellion, talking to myself and Lookin for an answer and castle of glass (2 and half keys higher in fact).
So it's not gonna be a problem. What the real problem is people saying he can't scream or growl like Chester which he can... But he won't. He said it will be dishonoring to Chester's speciality plus.... I don't know but are we supposed to define a good musician based on his screaming and growling?
@@epsilonecho1436 1. There's a huge difference between doing high harmonies and actually singing high notes. His voice is a lot lower than Chester's, and that's a fact- he won't ever be able to hit those notes when he's doing lead vocals (the ones you mentioned where he does high notes in lead vocals, like No Roads Left, are high for him, but not even close to Chester's).
And even if he did want to learn how to scream, that takes a long time to learn. The guy is in his 40's, do you really think he'll start learning a whole new way of singing NOW? Not to mention, if he has to learn to do that before the band can perform again, then we'll have to wait years.
And lastly, I agree with you that what makes a good artist is not just their ability to scream- but that is a huge part of LP's catalog. If no one in the band can perform it, then they can't play half of their songs live, including some of their biggest hits.
I'm not saying that Mike's not a good singer, because he is- but he's not Chester. He doesn't pretend like he's Chester, and we shouldn't either.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Of course, it will be a deal to do it live but I am confident that LP can continue with Mike as lead singer. He is a genius when it comes to making music and they have moved away from their nu-metal genre a long time ago. Most of their HT and Meteora songs are overplayed and there are still many in the albums waiting for their debuts. We can only hope, as fans from heart, that they will construct the brilliance they used to.
I don't know how many times I've closed my eyes and waited for the night to end. Lyrics are beyond moving.
Chester must be so proud up there. May you find peace now legend.
E que venham mais e mais sons lindos como esse, Mike. Te apoiamos, estamos com você!

Wish All The Best For Linkin Park Best AMAZING LP For their Future whatever they decide to Do! I Love Them And Will Support them FOREVER♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Kim Barnes AGREED! So frustrating, bc we all are part of LP/#ONELIGHT family...and I think being able to see who likes our comments could allow connections/friendships to be made, conversations could be started, ideas shared, etc.!
Our names have to be listed to make a comment, why not know who agrees/disagrees? Communication is so important, yet we make a public comment, someone likes/dislikes and that’s it! LP family is about transparency, I believe, anyway. Mike is filming his songs as he’s on his grieving/healing journey for instance! But, heaven forbid we know who likes our comments?! Just my thoughts...
Found your channel 3 minutes ago. Im hooked, awesome music!!!

Mike, it's going to be OK. Different but ok! Maybe even great! Out with the bad- in with the good! One day at a time. You will be whatever you dare to dream being- just don't stop.
Pain doesn't disappear when a person takes their life. It gets passed on to those closest to the person that's gone.
You are very wise. So true.
Kathryn Wright You're 100% right!
Kathryn Wright so but so true

True. ....
Much respect and admiration to Mr. Shinoda for doing his best to understand the un-understandable, and having the courage to show it to the world. Sometimes the question is the answer. If anyone doesn't understand what Mike Shinoda is speaking of, tragedy hasn't yet touched you. It will. When it does, small things like this song will find their rightful place within you. Thank you, Mike, for having the strength to soldier on when it doesn't seem possible. May others follow your lead.
the stronger your mind is the less will tragedy there will be until to a point where it doesn t exist anymore, but this is revolutionary and takes humanity a lot of years, even if people are already there.
Yeah, and i like the golden rectangle in your profile pic too
how is this dude so talent??? love mike sice i was 11 years old (now im 25)
