Josh… I always appreciate all your videos. But this one.. for me personally at my point in studying - this video is epic.. nearly ever feature you covered I can use right now… thank you bro
9:24 In my experience its a lot easier to delete the faces, selcet 4 verteces, press F to make a quad, select the edge of that quad and then hold down the F key. It fills in all the missing quads. Looks satisfying too.^^
I just usually delete the faces and bridge edge loops. So long as the end result is the same I guess the method doesn't really matter, but I have to admit a couple short clicks is optimal. My reluctance with this method, however, lies in the fact that Blender sometimes likes to triangulate faces in weird ways that doesn't convert into clean quads.
Great tips!! Thanks for frequently sharing such informative tips, gonna practice these now but before let me go down the rabbit of that coffee cup and donut you mentioned.
Hey Josh i really appreciate your videos, can you do a video about topology and sub and extrude, i have an issue understanding why when i add bevel and topology on a cube for example and then inset and extrude back the cube on the Y axis the entire model just glitch and create artifact how can I fix that ?

Thanks Josh exactly what I needed to learn for something I'm working on now. Brilliant stuff.
I get that people use add-ons, but I think videos about theory and technique are more helpful than "install the add-on and click the button."
these addons are bascially useless if you don't know the basics of modling and topology. But if you understand they will make you 10x faster
Very interesting video for a beginner struggling with some of these things :-), thanks for uploading.
Thanks Josh for sharing this awesome tips

It doesn’t follow in the same manner as 4. They algos are diff depending on the surface

Thanks man I appreciate the efforts u put in,make more coz we love ur content ❤there is no hard surface modeling on RUclips like blender bros💪🏿
9:58 only if i knew this before . I could have saved so many hours😭. Great video
Thank you!! Really like this. Could you please consider having keyboard combos displayed on screen?
Yeah, we have a new addon developed that was just recently released. Screencast keys wasn't working with 3.0+
Learned a lot, thanks!

Nice tips!
yoo offset cut is amazing
so useful
3:15 that circle cut was made with the meshmachine right ??
box cutter
Isn't the Y hotkey for MeshMachine, not machinetools?
Dude! I could kiss you for that last trick!
You can do pretty much everything you showed default without even using an add-on.
offset cut??
Anybody know how to export fluid stimulation in animated glb format from blender??
What's the difference between MACHIN3tools and MESHmachine?
I think Tools is just for making your interactions with blender faster. And Mesh is added mesh operations like hard ops.
Where is the Free Machin3 version? Its a paid version on BlenderMarket, and cannot find it on GumRoad
