You've done it again 👍a wonderful production. We will be there in jan next year for 3 days at old macs farm. Following your footsteps. Thanks again for the heads up
@@SaltEarthandSun also I'm a " bird nerd" and the murmuration you videod was mesmerising. Yes we will be in tassie for all of January next year. This is how I originally found you guys.🙂
@@davidbulbert7765 Wow! I didn’t know it was called that. Very interesting. I was really hoping to see that again this year at Old Macs, but they didn’t seem to be doing it. Is it rare?
@@SaltEarthandSun Yes in oz its rare, I've never seen it, however if you google starling murmurations im dure you'll see some. And one of your previous videos had rose robins in it. They are georgous little birds. 👍
Great Video, I enjoy following up your journey, very nice, sorry about asking you a technical matter how you film yourself the depth of field, (Bokeh) are very nice and professionally, I assume you are filming between 1.8 or 2.8 aperture? Is there any video you explain what sort of gear you use, camera, lens, etc; Thank you, wishing you all the best,,, cheers!!!
Hey buddy. Thanks again! :) I use a full frame Canon R5 and Sigma 18-35 f1.8 for the run and gun stuff. Then a RED Helium 8K and more lenses than you can poke a stick at for the nicer stuff. I don't go too much into detail about gear and what not, since the reality of our situation is that we run a production company and the stuff costs a bomb, but we need it for work. So if we were RUclipsrs we wouldn't have this stuff most likely, it's not really viable gear for people to get when they're starting out with RUclips. ☺
@@SaltEarthandSun Thank you for your feedback, now I understand, you make my day WOWED, really appreciate, wishing you all the best to your family with everything you do in a future, Cheers!!!
Hahaha how about I make you a deal, we’ll change the title to “4 minutes of Launceston Footage and one Salty Planet Saver in the comments.” 😜 Seriously thanks for taking the time. ❤️
We are about to upgrade our van to take off and see more of our big brown land. We love your video work you really tell the story of your adventures. We will be watching your travels! Enjoy 😊 Ally & Tony
@@SaltEarthandSun We love Sunseeker ,Titanium though currant build /wait time is 14 months - August 22! Retreat Caravans - have recently caught our eye. The Fraser off road is ticking a lot of boxes. Looks like we will be making a trip to check them out. 😊
@@ynottravel4198 Yeah, the Sunseekers and Marvels are definitely in high demand at the moment. I know the Marvel factory is scaling up production to meet demand. Might be worth checking in to see if those delivery times are coming down as a result. Whatever you end up in I'm sure you'll have a ripping time! 👌
Lovely video. That Blue Inc Cafe looks good and never showed up on any of my Tassie travel research. I'll be visiting during Easter What camera do you use? The low light capability is great. Nice Bokeh from your lens too 👌
Thanks Mannie - Yep. The Blue Inc. Cafe is one of our favourties and it certainly didn't disappoint when we visited it again a few weeks back. Definitely put it on your list. 👌 These videos are shot with a mixture of Red Weapon Helium 8K and Canon R5 - with lots of fast glass. . .The R5 is very good in low light. But I also do a bit of work in post and some of that will include some treatment of noise where needed. 👍 Thanks again for your interest! 👍
@@SaltEarthandSun holy crap a red weapon helium 8k 😱 Man I can't afford anything like that. Such beautiful footage. Your editing in low light and then working on noise reduction is impressive. Considering that almost every camera will have some noise, I find it hard to see any on this video. What editing software do you use to reduce noise?
Hahaha, neither could I, but had to find a way to make it work. Never regret it either. It makes beautiful pictures. I use lots of different programs, depends on the job. . . But mostly FCPX, Resolve and After Effects etc. Noise reduction is sometimes one of those, sometimes a mixture of. . .it depends on the shot. But the camera and the lenses are that good that it's rare to need it.
True, but then I’d have something that I wasn’t happy with… and unlike the majority of channels, I actually make these for me and my family. What may seem unnecessary for you actually triggers an extremely strong sense memory for me and whoever else experienced that same moment….. so there’s a method to the madness. 🤷♂️

Niiice! Yeah, we loved it there so much. Glad you enjoyed your time there too. So many great little spots and experiences to be had. 🙌
I’ve never been more bored in my life. Of course seeing the local deros in the park was a highlight but I’d give it a miss.
