Loved your vids , however..........Tassie is colder than most of the rest of Australia but at least we have definite seasons ....Turns out lots of Queenslanders are relocating to Tasmania for the reason to get out of the continuous heat...TV story on that recently...Glad you had some great times though in our little State ...
Just rewatched all your tassie videos. Great job guys. We are about to head down for a few months and after watching your vids we have plenty of ideas on what to do. Although unfortunately we will not take our caravan with us. Thanks again for going to the effort of making such awesome videos for us to watch.
Wait until your here in June July mainly. Minus temps most mornings. I'm a born bred two headed Tasmanian. Good to see you enjoyed your time here. We have a mountain bike race from the north esk memorial to the top of Ben Lomond every April via some 4wd tracks and then climbing along the road for 10 or 15 clicks up Jacobs ladder to the village.
Wow that would be a hectic ride, we would love to come back and do more hikes/bike rides... Perhaps the next lap around. You're very lucky to call Tassie home. Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Sparkysontheloose it certainly is I'm done 2 and half times myself. I certainly am lucky to live the only limiting factor of where I go is work and my Subaru Forester. She'll go a lot of places but not down the Montezuma track. If want a decent walk out the back of Queenstown you have the Kelly's basin walk. Can be wet underfoot but well worth the hike in terms of mining town history.
I remember the Spirit of Tasmania.....rough seas with big 5 meter waves hitting the ship on a 45 degree angle causing pitch and roll combined. Had a cabin and barely got any sleep that night. I think next time i'll fly over and hire a car! Cheaper, much quicker, more comfortable. But that's me LOL.
Gday Guys, Always look forward to your new vids, reminds me of the good ol days. Grampians fantastic place tis in my neck of the woods. keep the vids coming, safe travels. Cheers
Hey guys love the videos, great watching all your adventures I some day hope to be on. I know you’ve probably touched on this before but just curious what camera you use ? Thanks guys safe travels
We use the DJI Mavic pro for aerials. GoPro 3 + 4 for action shots. Nikkon D3200 for good shots and camera phones for interesting shots(night shots, slow mo etc)
bummer im all caught up now coz i watched some of it backwards before watching from the start. i always get abit sad when that happens because i enjoy it so much lol.. i wish i was exposed to this work/travel lifestyle when i was a young fit fella. looks like so much fun. i been in the same place since i was 14 and im now 45 and im so over it lol.. the $20,000 landcruiser i bought to travel turned out to be a total lemon and it was going to cost almost as much to have a new turbo diesel engine fitted to it so i sold it and used my savings to pay off the loan :( devastating blow, so unfortunately i have to start all over. needless to say im very nervous about buying my next 4x4 tourer, i cant afford to make that mistake again. i have a 2004 V8 landrover discovery still thats a very nice low km car but no way im taking that on a journey like this. its too thirsty and i doubt u can even buy fuel for a non diesel in some places. ill trade it in once ive saved travel funds again and find the right vehicle for the right price. i defo want to do this one day. anyhoo cheers legends and i look forward to watching rest of your journey!
haha bugger at least you helped us fix that bloody playlist problem. We got like 5 episodes that we have content for and they are all going to be beauties! Plus we are slowly improving video quality and thinking about making the move to 4K HD, so this should be interesting. Sorry to hear about the cruiser, ive been hearing a lot of stories of that happening to other travellers and it sucks! Surprising you dont need a tough new truck for this kinda gig, our Navara is only worth $3000 because it got written off from hail damage. I can't believe the thing is still going and i reckon it will keep going till we get home. There's only one place we have been to were it was just diesel and that was on the Gibb but there were other petrol stops not too far away anyway.
lol no problem. its been super fun to watch. im really impressed with your navara, it tows that big ass caravan everywhere, really impressive, everyone rekons those zd30's are unreliable which is why ive never even looked at one but maybe now ill consider one with those mods. nice to know the fuel for the disco is available but i think ill find something else, something more economical and practical. maybe a navara eh? but first thing to do is save up again lol.. lookin forward to the new eps, impressive effort into making and editing the videos. keep up the good work, its been very entertaining to watch. cheers legends lol..
Cool video guys. That ‘Kangaroo’ at Cataract Gorge was actually a Red-Necked Wallaby 😃

Thanks for the ride.
That drive up the hill to test the gear box was intimidating! I've heard Tasmania is like New Zealand - cold weather :P
Tassie, Such a beautiful place but a little too windy and cold for us.
Sparkys on the loose yeah sounds like NZ hahaha
