"I'll tell you right now I'm not gonna do any of that". Love it!! Literally laughed out loud because I pretty much say the same thing when I read the directions on these things. I'm the same with trying to find the perfect product to finish my products. I picked up a can of this today and am gonna try it out. Judging by this video its probably gonna be my go to poly. Thanks for posting the video.

I just watched and laughed out loud too in my garage as I’m watching my first coat dry. Hilarious because I was thinking the same thing!!

I’m so happy I found this video! I did a lot of wood projects with my dad when I was a kid but it’s been about 20 years and I’m doing my first project on my own. I got a can of this because I figured it would save time but then I read some bad reviews online so I was worried. But you make it seem pretty straightforward. Seems like it gives good results even if you don’t follow the directions 😂

This is what I used on my cornhole boards today. Pretty excited to be throwing on my own boards basically anytime I like.

I am currently using this and have some hardcore brush strokes. No matter what brush I use.

I had the same thing happen. I ended up applying it on thick so it would lay down. But now 6 weeks later the product wont seem to fully cure. It was applied to a kitchen counter and if water spots are left on it for more than 2 hrs it turns milky white and gets soft.

I put 2 coats of the triple and sanded after each coat. Had brush strokes after the 2nd coat, so sanded, cleaned and put one coat of wipe-on poly and it looked great!

@@burntfactorywgwgals9460 I thought about that but the wipe on was oil based. Wasn’t sure if it would adhere well

Hi Keith, How is your counter top holding up? I am having issues with water droplets. If water spots are left on it for more than 2 hrs it turns milky white and gets soft. Was wondering if you are having something similar happen?
Also this products is leaving brush strokes and won't lay down. Is that happening for you too?

I was wondering the same thing. We used this on our dining table we built and it’s a 9ft table. If you sand it then it’s gets cloudy looking (meaning not clear) and if you don’t sand it has bubbles or rough spots because it gets gooey very quickly so you can not touch a spot you already went over again after a few seconds. So I had issues with going quick enough to not have this happen but making sure it’s an even coat

Does it need two coats for a kitchen table? I really like it but I have sanded it down 3x now bc i used the spray version. I just used the can and much better.

I am currently using this on a refurbished kitchen table. Do you think it will hold up from everyday use?

I've used this product on a kitchen counter top and it is terrible. If water spots are left on it for more than 2 hrs it turns milky white and gets soft.

Did you sand before each coat? Also the way he's applying it with the brush is wrong. You should apply with one long stroke of the brush and not apply like you would when painting

How long before Coates realistically speaking? Thanks for the video I bought today for a desk too , it’s winter here in jersey so it’s cold and just trying to figure out how many Coates I can get in and the real time between Coates opposed to the directions
