Hey Y'all, this is something I have thought for a long time, but I am ready to make the switch to this channel only being about Vietnam. I am happy to bring on this change. I have thought long and hard about it and the people of Vietnam have loved and supported me from pretty much day one. Since borders are now open and I can return, I can continue to frequently make content for this channel. I am going to do more than just street food, I want to explore every possible thing in Vietnam and not just in Vietnam, but Vietnamese food and culture outside the Motherland as well. Welcome back to Saigon where I a native New Yorker have been living for the last 30 years. My first trip to Vietnam was in 1988 and I have been enchanted since. I worked here for many years as a risk management consultant but now happily retired. My last trip to New York was in 2019 just before covid and I don't dare make another trip till things have been going smoothly for a couple of years. I met my wife who is Vietnamese in New York in 1976 and we got married in June 1977 and so going on 45 years in June. It's been a great life so far much thanks to the people, culture, pets and the beauty of Vietnam. Speaking of risk management please be sure to wear long pants when riding and wear a good helmet. For anyone looking to stay married 45 years that's easy by reconciling any issue that may come up during the day before retiring to sleep and let there be the same passcode for the phones of both spouses. I really love it here.

Dude I’m glad to see “người nước ngoài” seeing my country as “home”! Vietnam is so rich of formality and dirt cheap if you’re converting US dollars to VND, which attracts foreigners such as Americans even more. You can actually choose whether if you want to live a fast life or not, beauties are plenty, and what Chris meant is, Viet foods are simply balanced, no matter where you go in Vietnam!

I haven't been able to visit family in Vietnam since 2018 so having your videos to watch has been so nice. It helps me feel like I am keeping up with life in Vietnam through all of its changes. And it helps that you are into all the stinky mam dishes so I can live vicariously through your meals!
