Wow thanks so much Lams, really loved your point on intentional diversification, I’m quite set on IBD, but will look for divisions that are similar too!

But on your question, competency-based questions typically focus on a particular principle or value the firm has, these are usually on their website. In our experience candidates can expect to be asked questions about ways they've demonstrated those competencies in addition to the more common one's like resilience, leadership, management in general whether time, work or stress management and so forth. So practice having responses to that and focus on the RESULT! What SPECIFICALLY did you do and how did that directly lead to an outcome that supports the view that you're good at time management, or you're good at working as part of a team. Focus on being as specific as possible with competency questions. Technical wise, it very much depends on your division and level, I.e. a Summer Internship technical interview will be a little different to a Spring one, here you want to get as much advice as possible, from past interns, current employees and so forth. Nice video . I’m currently on a year placement in real estate asset management as an analyst in top firm. Something I really want to do in investment banks is real estate investing . Many of them offer summer internship for real estate investing in the asset management division - my question is : is applying before my last year of uni too late ? I know they usually take penultimate years but it’s very hard to get on a grad scheme without going through the summer analyst programme ... Thank you 🙂
I got a few interviews, but what hurt most was my 3rd interview I think, before getting to the assessment centre for JP Morgan, London 😭😭😭. Thanks for the strategies, I really need to make up for a lot of mistakes I made in my 2nd and 3rd year.

I've discovered your channel recently and I must say that I'm impressed with the quality of the content! 🙌🏾 I'm studying in France and tomorrow will be the start of my internship as a project manager at HSBC France. Even though I'm glad to have the opportunity to be an intern there, what I really want is to do an internship as an M&A analyst in January 2021. But the thing is I don't come from a top tier school and my resume is pretty lame (don't have any internship experience related to IB, I don't do stuff outside school...). So I started the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst course from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) to at least try to make up for my weak resume. What would you do if you were in my shoes and wanted to get an internship in the biggest bank possible? Keep in mind that there isn't summer/spring internships here in France.
Hii Chloe I study in France too. I don't come from a top their school. Next year I will be in buisness school and I would like have contact with people that could share their experience. May I ask you if we can change linkdin ? Sorry I dont speak very well english.

Is it a myth that chances of getting a grad scheme is very slim compared to summer internship? I am a final year undergrad and will be applying for grad schemes. However, some people say i should still aim for summer internships as they are easier to get. Could u pls provide some clarification on this. Thanks!

from my experience i think this is true. but don't give up. you can always try
Olamide Duyile exactly!! And for graduate recruitment it’s not as straightforward as the internship. They consider a lot.
I’m new to your channel, have you got a video about answering competency and technical questions in interviews?
