Everyone thinks Dave is the best cus of Kurt but drummers know that Taylor was way more technically proficient than Dave. Jack Black was right when he said "Taylor can do things Dave can only dream of."
Chad Smith is a beast on the skins, but Taylor will always be the lead on this song. Taylor was one of a kind natural. Props to Dave, he is an amazing class act lead man that is a true rock n roller!!!!
No disrespect to Chan. But I think the young girl that came up on stage and did this song, with the Band. Should have been given the opportunity to, show what the Foo Fighters, was a part of her life❤️🙏
They had Chad there because he was one of Taylor's closest friends and yes that girl is great but the concert was for Taylor and who better to play drums on a song that was so special to him then Chad.

Dave kept going near the drums and giving him queues to try to bring him up to the right beat, Chad needed to be a little faster, maybe he was with the studio version for reference, but live, Foos play faster than in the studio. He tried his best, but needed more practicing time with the whole band.

Proof that the Foo are not that good of a historical rock n roll band, their best song is pretty cheesy to be honest, and most others, I do prefer Hawkin's solo stuff way over any Foo, for real, they are a rock pop band, as Lemmy would have said "that fooled us" although funny enough how Dave managed to be accepted by people who didn't really like his music...
