Thanks for the clear, detailed and step-by-step explanation. Was banging my head against the wall trying to make Klara's strategy work >.< This chapter is a serious difficulty spike...
My pleasure. Yeah, this chapter is where the training wheels come off. The next point like this is the chapter 27 mission where all the best tactics that worked so far don't apply.
18 & 27 were the only ones I needed to restart from the title screen due to the requirement of foreknowledge of what happens in the game. (Hard + Maniac) // That said, I did the Klara strategy too, by just focusing down Kaspar with everything I had, since it was enough to win, but then replayed it to do the Klara strategy with extra steps (for more experience) - killing the garrison that tried to come back to the fort after quelling the 'uprising'. Was one of the most satisfying things in the game, watching large squads dying to the Nightveil + Poison.
Nice guide thanks. Making a choke points is really the best option. For those that really want to free the miners. Use someone with nightveil to do the run and have one bishop with sacred calling to extract the rescuer. Its feasible in 11 turns. No mounts for both of them. Edit. Can extract the rescuer in hard, maniac settings, no walking potions, or any potion buffs.
It's worth to mention that if you defeat Fontaine in this mission he won't join you afterwards, if you go "around him" straight for Kaspar both he and Erin will be recruitable.
lol, I restarted this map maybe 4-5 times going with the plan every time thinking there would be a bonus for not screwing it up. Next playthrough, I am definitely not going with Klara's plan lol.
Klara has a Stealth skill, last 2 turn too, if you bring 1 haste potion you can clear it very easy, but Klara will be on her own on the miner's side while all your troop automove to the back gate, use 1 Calv to ram gate (300hp) then move aside, you can destroy the gate in 1 turn. Then the rest is easy
That's the only stealth mission in Lost Eidolons. It's also one of the two chapters in the game that might cause massive frustration. The other, without spoiling anything, if you don't have at least 4 sharpshooter options for the final fight on hard difficulty as it turns out that the mages run out of spells somewhere halfway of the map. But I feel like it's a positive thing that the game forces the players to go out of their comfort zones and have to try different troops and setups. It makes the game more interesting.
i am playing on hard and this is the first mission i think is immpossible because of klara noob strategy tried 4 times and failed going to give ur tactics a shot i can see its a great one
ok so i tried these tactics but it didnt work on hard difficulty they do tons of damage and receive a portion only, i guess thats it got to leave this game untill this mission is fixed or we can change difficulty
@@TanzeelBari I did play on hard difficulty on this video. It's doable. Take as much AOE casters as possible and memorize long distance spells and you should be fine.
@@TanzeelBari Yes, hard and maniac mode on. Take only two mages, two priests but with some attack spells. Francisco should be a decent tank at that point. Use Francisco and Eden to keep the warrior boss away from your casters with taunts. You don't even need to defeat all bosses to win the map, so focus on the guy with the bow. Hit him from the sides and he can't counter.
@@VinnieKielbasa its impossible on hard i gave it another 2 tries. i went to 24th turn and only 4 5 enemies left next turn it will be game over issue is they dont take damage and do alots of damage plus every 2nd or 3rd hit is critical i cant believe any one did it on hard so far
Dragon's Dance? In the mission where Eden first gets his power, save it up for the boss. After the battle if you used the Eidolon power on the manticore, Francisco should find the sword in its belly.
What works on lower difficulty often requires a very different approach on hard difficulty. I guess the level was designed for playing on lower difficulty.
I had almost the exact same build as you but I listened to klara like a moron. made me run for my life with 1 unit that activate the prisoners because the prisoners died in 2 turns and killed maybe 2 enemies.. useless plan.
It's also the part of the game where dark mages and AOE elemental mages start becoming helpful as support. Soon after there's the mission where they can cut off whole areas of the city with 'Nightvail' during the Balastar's party crash mission and extinguish the burning trees with 'Torrential Rain' for safe passage of your own troops. In the mission where Eden has to endure 15 turns until the reinforcements come I used 3 dark mages and took out all the enemy before turn 15 because 'Nightveil' prevented them from pouring through the gates and 'Silence' rendered their damage dealer casters powerless. Andrea even managed to take out Balastar in the process, although he interpreted it as a feel for the need to regroup or something like that. 🙂
@@VinnieKielbasa I actually liked dark mage more since the beginning. Felt like he is more useful to the team.. especially the ability to stun people or silence them since on hard difficulty the enemy is dealing a crazy amount of damage..
@@shaipartuk you wont be able to do this mission on hard difficulty if u do plz let me know, coz i cant they hit like a truck and takes half damage it was not like this a mission earlier

thanks for the idea man. i did it with only 1 dark mage and no nightveil. i just killed everyone and also looted the box.
So glad I saw this. I turned the game off for the night when I saw the stealth section.

thank you , you are the boss, any advice on how to beat levels of COH3 It is hard even with tactial pause
Thanks for the guide
I wish I would have seen this before I did it the way you are "supposed" to do it. Those miners were freaking useless.
