      no he didn't. he's forgetting the most important part - PRESSURE! with heart the vinyl will stick just fine in the video but as soon as you put it through a washer /dryer it will get wrinkles and tiny bubbles and eventually peel. because you don't get enough pressure with an iron. it is an easy solution for one time use shirts though.

      make sure you apply good pressure with the iron and do a second (covered) press after you peel with good pressure. or it might start to wrinkle/peel after couple of washes

      @deeayeveeeyees 6 месяцев назад

      a block (maybe ceramic or steel or anything that stays cold) to cool it down quicker. you can also use an iron (one that's cool and unused for a while) because the ceramic/steel plate on the bottom gets very cool to the touch so it helps dissipate heat quick. other options are anything steel & flat, or an ice pack (the coming gel kind, that won't get wet),

      that's my question too.. I have a shirt business, I do the design and have the shirts made from a printshop.. I was planning to have my designs printed from them and just buy a shirt from the mall and do the pressing at home with an iron coz iL be saving more than half the price.. the lady from the printshop said tho that if the heat or pressing or something wasn't done correctly, the print might peel off in months..

    It's not that hot can't do it, they did this ages ago this way with irons... but the point of a heat press is to do it with more consistent temperature all around to have longer lasting more quality products..... also for the time consuming part...., with the iron you have to move it around constantly and much longer time so that you really got the transfer bonded to the shirt .... so it takes longer and you can't really see if you missed a spot . With a heat press it's temperature controlled and it's constant consistent heat all around no need to move around the heat source.... and it takes from 15-30 seconds most of the time, so can you do it with an iron ofcores we all have known that but for a professional quality product that you want your customers to get then you must invest right?... but for a diy person then this will do.
