I had my ISX overhauled at 973K shortly after I bought it. It had no blowby and seemed to run fine. The only thing that was really worn were the cams and followers as they hadn't been upgraded. The liners were really clean (sure you know why) and even the rod bearings (originals) looked pretty good. I figured it was best to start out fresh and know the condition of everything before putting it to work. I just did the 3rd oil change following the overhaul today, and it used no oil or coolant in the past 14,500 miles.
I had a 2016 579 paccar. Did rods mains injectors at 1,000,000 miles. Didnt burn oil could also be due to me deleting the cancer off the truck. When i sold it last year it had 1,215,000 miles on it. Only 25,000 running hours bc of the apu which took a crap on me. No blow by. Your right about one thing itll last if you maintain it. Eventually parts do wear out.
Got mine done at 900k, it now has 1.6 on it and no oil consumption whatsoever ...I always' change oil and filters at 200 hrs not mileage, Oh by the way, a rubber glove...the ones you use to work on the truck , over the filler tube will tell you if you have a lot of blow-by.. Thanks for the vid !
My industry (oil field) we usually have higher hours vice miles. Got a few with over 20k hours with less rhan 50k miles. We do services at 500 and 1000hrs
Sturgell can you do a video showing your 53ft trailer and how its setup? How you keep the chains from the headache from sliding off on the sides and where you keep your equipment like 4ft timbers. I left a mega flatbed company to crst and we had headache on the truck and 48ft trailers so this is new territory for me
Thanks for the info. I'm burning 2 gallons a week (if I'm running 2500 to 3000 miles a week)no blowby to the point we're the cap is coming off. 2015 Isx15 790,000 23,000 hours. Inframe or rebuild? Asking for your opinion.
@@El.Pelavacas_Van-Lines Man that’s a tough question??….it really depends on where you live. What contractors would charge you, what you actually want, mine is 42ft x 100ft with two 10 foot doors and a 14 foot door on the front and one 14 foot door on the back of the shop and a walk-in cooler, I mean, if I move stuff around, I could fit three semis in there, so it might be a little bit overkill for most guys.. If I were to try and build it today, I’m sure it would be around $150k
Hey Matt. I told you about mine before. Last may I rebuilt my 2000 isx cost me 30 thousand. Had 1,350,000 miles on a rebuild which I had done in 2204. More then I was hoping. Good luck with yours.

Great info.
Great information. With your high mileage have you done anything with your transmission or rear ends yet?
New transmission 200k ago rear ends original

Inframe is a rebuild, the only time the motor has to come out is if the crank or the block gets damaged
I've never done an engine wash, do you recommend doing one and if so after over 300k miles without is there anything I should watch for?
I do the engine washing myself because I don’t like to let the Truck washes do it because of all the sensors and ECM
Is that your garage in your home?
Yes
Wow. What will a set up like cost me in my ranch?

Matt I’ve changed my own oil since truck was new at 10,000 miles.
I have seen dd15 brand new when I was company driver burn a gallon of coolant every 40 k or so
Where do I buy a ccv delete filter?
Part number 3691476…… just google that part number and there’s plenty of places to pick from, most dealerships carry them also
@@sturgelltruckingllc4074 I see thanks. Wish they made em for the 6.7 or the ISL9, or ISX 12
