i got optilex 9020 with 32g ram & i7 4790 + gtx1660 super,stuck PSU from dell xps with 460w, its a beast never thought i will play in 1080p smooth like butter
TechDweeb said it best. It's up to the game developers to optimize their games for a wider variety of systems. I used to have a Lenovo with an I7 4790 and 1050ti, and i bet at least close to have of all game players have similar systems. (I currently have a Dell Precision with a Xeon E3-1245 v5 and an RX 5600)
Yeah it’s kind of crazy I’m not seeing great benchmarks across the board. I also have a w-2135 with an RTX 4060 in a Lenovo thinkstation and barely does any better than this Optiplex build. Definitely seems like an optimization issue after watching other benchmarking vids
Im using an i7 4790 non-K, 16gb DDR3, and a 3gb 1060 GTX, and its running nicely with the Steamdeck Performance Mods (also good for lower spec hardware), FPS mod and the Shadows On tweaked INI. the 512px textures the mod uses is a HUGE help for a game like this, plus i used CAS scaling at 50% with higher sharpness. took me a cpl days, but now this old warhorse PC is still worthy. Cant afford any upgrades til the new year.
Very nice! This old hardware still holds up :) the mods have definitely helped with Starfield specifically as well since the game is so under optimized
@@PetesParts16 agreed. i ran it before the mods and it was so rough with the framerates dropping when u would be in a menu and exit, or laggy audio, or just really horrendous stuff in general. now its actually rather playable.

Sounds like you maxed it out! Very cool
It looks definitely playable for a budget!
Yeah! Not too shabby
That was actually pretty impressive
Worked better than I thought it would!
