So lucky he's a celebrity because after I divorced my ex she recorded me and I cursed her out over the phone for her not letting me see my kids and I got arrested and a 20 minute trial that I had no chance and was guilty immediately. The courts need to give all men a fair trial like this.
My poor husband had to keep an attorney on retainer because his ex was always having him arrested. She knew I was having cancer surgery and had him arrested while he was in the waiting room for news from my Dr.

There was no restraining order or any reason to arrest me other than she told the cops she didn't want me there and sure enough I was handcuffed and taken out. It's sad how the system is my kids even went in front of the judge saying they wanted to live with me because she drinks and drives with them and the judges answer was "well she deserves the right to enjoy her life also" I could not believe it. He refused to change the custody situation even though my son's were 13 and 16 idk what else I could do.

The "declining career" was a desperate farce. She knows how studios work. Even IF his offers were declining, it takes a major catalyst for studios to suddenly void contracts you already HAVE.

Their point was to say that his career was "clearly in decline" before Amber heard defamatory words, which would partly contradict a previous statement made where he said that her words made him lose everything, but these articles suggest it wasn't her fault. This is all done in an attempt to cast doubt on Depp for the jury, but regardless it doesn't prove Amber heard words were not lies, so really this is them grasping at straws to cast any doubt they can on Depp, as he said himself, it's pretty pathetic that her team has to go this far only to prove a very minor point that will hardly help decide Amber's guilt of defamation
Because of the relevancy to the point the lawyer is making. Doesn't matter as the jury will completely ignore tabloids since they don't have credibility on their own merit, but Heard's lawyer is trying to sell a story and not facts

And he still landed plenty of movies while having these stories made about him, so to say that his career was in as close of a decline as it was after Amber heards accusations is just plain ridiculous

However, I also feel like there are people who are genuinely seeking to help, and in the most unexpected way. By being true to themselves. People who work hard for their families are plentiful still. People who simply wish to put food in front of their children no matter the person cost to themselves. And its people like those that are going to help revive that “Friendly Neighbor” mentality. Just, you have to be willing to contribute to that as well. It can be small like letting someone pass in front of you when entering a store simply because you can. To the more complex thing like directly contributing to society via community service.

@@purely5805 the only way to avoid court when you are being sued is to pay up without question, to admit liability. Clever lawyering can’t change that. You might try and negotiate a lower settlement than the claim, but if you don’t wish to admit liability or pay, then you have to defend the action in court.

This was indeed a very toxic relationship. Amber obviously had a clue that JD had a drug issue, it was in public domain. Why did she get married to him?
