  • A filmstrip describing the 1965 Lincoln. I didn't have the record that goes with it, so I edited it and put music to it.

When I was a kid I remembered grandpa bragging that his new Lincoln had a 24k warranty. While my dad's Riviera GS just had a 12k . 2 different types of cars in them days. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great video! My parents had a 1962 Continental, great cars. Ford put a lot of quality in those cars!

Rear heater ducts. Smart idea. Best of the Big 3 American luxury cars.
I believe the last year of this body style.
    I had a '71 Continental Coupe, & a '72 Mark IV.

This was the finest, most well engineered, highest quality Lincoln EVER seen. It was the state of the art, king of the hill. Until the 1966 model came out.

Back in the day when hip young thinking parents played jazz with martini's while getting ready to go out for dinner at 8; Swanson TV dinners for the kids, babysitter arrived at 7:00 so Mom could fuss for a few final minutes undisturbed. Ice cream later, and the Continental whisked them off to Haussner's, or someplace similar and you'd get a matchbook at table the next morning.

Nice job.....Music sounds as if it were made for this film. Glad it wasn't the new crap out now.

I have a '65 convertible. Bought it 20 years ago as a mess, put a few grand into it, drove it a few times. Unfortunately, it's been up on jack stands in my garage for 15 years now. These are serious restoration projects, and it seems when you have the time, you never have the money, and vice versa. Still, almost every time I took it for a drive, I got offers on it, even with most of the interior panels removed.

If you ever want to sell it please comment back. Just bought a ‘65 convertible and own a ‘64 convertible I put a lot of time / effort into. Jason

My Uncle Smiley had a Lincoln with suicide doors from the early 1960's. It looked so understated but elegant.

For memory sake I wanted to review this 65 power blue conv. Because it was my second vehicle after I trades in my Ford 64 Galaxy. For me it still is a classic, best looking Lincoln ever. But it only got 8 MPG. IT was the heaviest of all American vehicle on the road up to this day.

I always liked the 62-65 Lincoln, then 66-69.. To this day, even as kid, could not figure out that "weird" 1965 grille, when see it. It simply looked under sized, strange, non luxury. Cadillac had a gigantic front grille with huge power dome hood. Imperials had a stunning thrusting "V" slant grille. Then there was Lincoln's "pug dog" nose. Drastic change in 66. What can ya say over fifty years later.

I'm not a fan of the pug Dog look either. I think the 65 looks great but admittedly it lacks the absolute freshness of the 61-63.

Great looking car (despite the INSANE size).
The convertible is lovely. No wonder it didn't sell, though. They built a fabulous-looking touring car with NO luggage space. What were you supposed to do, tow a little trailer behind you for luggage?

3:36...Graphic shows space and ease of entry/exit for rear seat passengers on a 4 door 1965 Lincoln Continental (on left with rear doors open) vs a 2 door 1964 Cadillac (on right with both doors open). I presume this promo was made very early in the 1965 model year, before data was available on the 1965 Cadillac. But why the comparison between a 4 door and a 2 door?

All of the pics were part of a filmstrip. I edited the filmstrip and added the music since I didn't have the original record that went with it.
