@@LivinginNorthernNJ honestly a huge culture shock my husband is Caucasian we have a 9 year old.ImFrom Paterson NJ,where we say Good morning & smile and say it back or just a friendly smile we know our place and kids don’t disrespect our elders especially parents.We give to the community have programs for battered women and detox but they can’t come to Hasbrouck Heights and sit on the library step high as a bird.So they don’t rarely have help programs.I am the voice of my child,it’s all walks of life in my hometown Paterson.No one sticks out we have everyone in my hometown where as in Hasbrouck some just stare or think section 8 as if I’m not good enough. My man makes amazing money I’m a CNA so i make money also blessed my man is a real man🧜🏾‍♀️we aren’t selfish we love all.Hubby is Italian/Cuban so i know they’re good men in the world my man and his family shows me & our kid the same💕everyone not the same.It bothers me when they👀Like they’ve never seen Melanin women B4💕IT’S ok.My son is doing well but it’s obvious it’s only like 6-7 brown kids🤷🏾‍♀️He’s learning self love✊🏿I’m not close to a threat I’m having my confidence back especially as a mom but I’m picking my head up & fixing my 👑

It really is a beautiful town to live in. People are so kind and friendly and it really does feel like a small home town where you can say it takes a village to raise a kid, this is the village you want to be in

I've lived here all my life and I now own the house, I grew up in. I love my little town. The only thing I dislike is the constant tearing down of houses that have been here forever, and they are replaced with mini mansions that don't conform with the rest of the block. They also raise our taxes when they are used as comparables. It's makes it hard for the people who have lived here for years to afford to stay.

Thanks for watching! Hasbrouck Heights has great charm and a wonderful community feel. I see the housing expansion happening in a lot of towns in the county. Investors are flipping houses and expanding them to the limits of property lines as much as they're able. Definitely changing the landscape of many towns.
