Nice episode...Macintosh are just plane beautiful. The sound, their appearance. There is such a thing as magic, and it's name is McIntosh...

A unique take on quality audio of all prices. Over time you learn the preferences of each reviewer. That makes their commentary more understandable as well as which is closest to your personal taste in audio.
    Well done!!👍

I owned this amp for a few years and ended selling it for more than I paid for it, I cannot say that about too many other brands. Great pre-amp, very smooth sounding. Love your videos.

These guys, Jay, Vilip, and Adrian are THEE best. I very much appreciate their RUclips videos and have learned so much. In a perfect world, Audio Excellence would be my local hi-fi go-to shop. There is such a wealth of knowledge you share and the videos are so refreshing and devoid of foolish ego, but full of wisdom, humanity, and humility. Thank you!

Great review! I have a C2200, purchased in 2001, and have always liked it very much. I learned things from this review! For anyone who has cassette or reel-to-reel tapes, they sound better on the C2200 than I'd heard on anything else. It also has a record monitoring circuit so you can switch back and forth between the source and what has been recorded. I think that has been discontinued in current models. Thanks for doing this review.

Great video as usual. Just to clarify the mc240 was a stereo amp 2x40 wpc actually my first tube power amp 25 tears ago. Wound up with a bad transformer. Probably safe to say I blew the thing up.

Excellent vid gentlemen, thanks! Jay, you asked for comments reference Chris Jones - yes, I do have Roadhouse & Automobiles - I don't listen to it that often, but when I do it does not disappoint - actually Vilip, I can't imagine that "No Sanctuary Here" doesn't strike you as "real music" - - humm-mah. (kidding with the humm-mah thing and I'm only teasing you a bit Vilip) But yeah, it most certainly is real music - most, if not all of that record is "performance" via real musicians - - anyway, in my opinion, a very excellent recording with very excellent mixing & imaging and most importantly - very excellent music - and yeah, for sure - cool by me and probably Jay that there's a bit of audiophile candy in there too! Would be nice to review the older VAC and ARC LS priducts if you have access to them
for comparison as they where competitive with the Macintosh products

So…. I bought c2200 from Vilip and definitely was better then many preamps but nowhere near c2600 ( I don’t own c2700 but they are very similar) . If anyone can spend bit more towards c 2600/2700 I strongly suggest that.
    Thank you for great video

Why would it be cool if the tubes only work when you're playing vinyl record? Wouldn't it be cooler if the tubes work for everything?

I have a small problem with the C 2700 ? That is: whenever I press the TONE control button , of course a red indicator comes on. The problem that I am facing is, whenever I depress the TONE control to OFF, a POP sound is emitted through my speakers, especially on the woofers. Why, and how to eradicate it once for all. I SUSPECT there’s a current leakage or the ICs are from PRC China. Bad QC. Would someone or the three gentlemen in this clip help or explain this irritating problem ??? Tks.

At 18:30, Adrian was mentioning the price for a used C2200. Unfortunately, Vilip was also talking. I rewound it 4 time and still couldn’t make out what he was saying. Could someone tell me the price that Adrian mentioned?

Humm, I wonder why Adrian's body looks much fuller/more muscular 9 months ago? 🤔🤔🤫🙄😉😇 As my name suggests, I know just a little about that topic. Could be wrong, but I doubt it. I notice these things just like a good audiophile would/should!🤓

Initially I criticized your videos as being too long. Now I have changed my mind. I even watched the Serafino one twice. I heard rhe Electra IIIs at the Last Rocky Mtn show and was very moved by them. Can you review stuff you do not carry? Borreson and Vimberg make amazing 2 way speakers. Joseph Pulsars too.

I don't get that feeling at all. To me, each one brings their own perspective. Each of the three brings their own perspective, partially because of their age. I see Villip as learning from Jay's younger perspective and offering help to Jay from his older and more knowledgable perspective. I like that they, including Adrian, are all different. Disagreement is okay; disrespect is not, and there is no disrespect here.

    • @billdave463

Yes, he’s so pompous. Perhaps he’s got an ego problem.

    • @billdave463
      @billdave463 2 года назад

@@cgwolf3903 oh yes ! There is disrespect in a very condescending way by Villip, if you get my drift ? Everyone can give their two cents worth of opinions, which should be respected by all parties, instead of forcing their thoughts and issue on others, and that’s not healthy. Remember ! Our hearings, choice of music, speakers, interconnects and speaker cables differs etc may differ from time to time . In conclusion “ A WISE MAN FACES FACTS. ONLY A FOOL IS ONE STOP SHORT OF VICTORY “
