To either pay a large cash down (like $30/40k) or finance most of it. Thoughts? What are your plans. Would appreciate your plans. Thanks and great vids!!
That's a tough one. I would say to finance the lowest amount possible to save money on interest, but only if the large down payment isn't going to completely deplete your savings.
Always more cash down unless initially saving that money will allow you to make more money than your interest costs over the course of the loan... For example you invest 20k in your business instead of using it for your down payment and this allows you to make more money than the interest from financing that 20k.
@@CarsCostsandTechnology > Excellent reply. "Financial advice" is really a one-on-one situation. IF your large cash is coming from an investment account -- that is currently growing very well {especially a Tax-saving 401k} -- then the interest on your loan will be less than the growth of your account. I can't give up my massive trunk in the C7Z06. Having two separate trunks isn't the same. You can't fit continuously long objects like mattresses, TVs, gaming rigs...and it's at this moment I realize I travel too much. 15K Miles in 7 months!
Good point. Depending on the cargo the two separate trunks could be either better or worse. I know for smaller items they tended to roll around in my C7 trunk. The smaller frunk on the C8 should be great for those items, but definitely not as good for the bigger things you listed out. I like your channel by the way 👍🏼 I've watched some of your list videos and Z06 content. Thanks for checking out this video.
Shuja Abbas Since I have both, I will be the judge of that when I receive a 2020 Corvette in the new year from MacMulkin. The 911 and the Cayman vs. the Corvette are different driving experiences. Actually, the 911 is different than the Cayman...the 911 is more of a GT. Other cars and manufacturers are not going to roll up and fade away because of the 2020 Corvette. Everyone has their favorites and what is relevant to them.
Just a question.. since the engine is in the back and also a cargo area.. does that area going to be hot after driving? I wouldn’t want to open that door if it would be hot in that area.
I have a question for you, i have yet to see anything on this so far, but whats up with the open vents on the rear hatch? Just seems a heavy rain, dirt, snow can easily enter the engine compartment -
It appears the view outward is pretty good too. Plus a 2LT/3LT will have all the traffic alert nannies. I daily drove a 1969 350/350 4 speed coupe fifty years back in central NJ. EVERY day, rain or shine. I survived. The C8 is light years ahead.
This thing looks amazing. I will say though, the doors with the protruding vent piece are gonna be hitting a lot of things in the parking lot... I'm amazed no one's brought it up.
Great video but I just traded my c7 z51 for a used C7 zo6 and my GOD this car is amazing. The C8 can stay not really impressed with the looks and it makes the C7 look even more iconic. Last breed of front engine Vette is amazing. People can have these C8.

Who the fuck is moving mattresses with a Vette?! 😂🤣😂
that front lift system is hands down number 1 for daily driver. !
The only thing I would be concerned with is how exposed the radiators are on the front and in the side vent.
Good point. Only time will tell how well they hold up.
aye wassup fellow c5 owner
Man this car is insane 😱 amazing!
this car literally makes the cayman and 911 irrelevant
What I want to see is a fuel economy battle between the 911 and corvette
Completely agree 👍🏻
Shuja Abbas Since I have both, I will be the judge of that when I receive a 2020 Corvette in the new year from MacMulkin. The 911 and the Cayman vs. the Corvette are different driving experiences. Actually, the 911 is different than the Cayman...the 911 is more of a GT. Other cars and manufacturers are not going to roll up and fade away because of the 2020 Corvette. Everyone has their favorites and what is relevant to them.
and the GT 350, NSX, GTR, ZL! etc.
I feel it makes every variant of the Cayman irrelevant however I feel die hard 911 fans are going to stick with their GT2's and Turbos
Just a question.. since the engine is in the back and also a cargo area.. does that area going to be hot after driving? I wouldn’t want to open that door if it would be hot in that area.
Great point. I guess the ice cream and frozen foods are going in the "frunk"
Guy will be using it to upgrade the body to build any think. Carbon fiber body parts. Body mods. Just bolt on ! Engine mods. Can't wait!
I have a question for you, i have yet to see anything on this so far, but whats up with the open vents on the rear hatch? Just seems a heavy rain, dirt, snow can easily enter the engine compartment -
You neglected to mention how quickly you can get to the grocery store. Very important when you're hungry.
😂 Agreed
It appears the view outward is pretty good too. Plus a 2LT/3LT will have all the traffic alert nannies. I daily drove a 1969 350/350 4 speed coupe fifty years back in central NJ. EVERY day, rain or shine. I survived. The C8 is light years ahead.
Lose the Camaro rear end look, and it'll be perfect.
Same thought here....I hate that honestly.
Maybe for future c8s
It looks awesome
That’s what sells the car for me personally
And get rid of those clear plastic headlight covers. That will turn yellow and opaque in a few years
We are witnessing history with this vehicle
I HOPE YOU GET THESE EXACT VEHICLES WITH YOUR FAVORITE PAINT AND ALL THE UPGRADES YOU WANT FOR FREE WITH NO CATCHES!
❤💖
I didn’t understand the tire selection, I ordered the 3LT does this have the all weather tires? Great summary thx.
Yes, only the Z51 package changes the tires that come standard.
My dream car 🔥
This thing looks amazing. I will say though, the doors with the protruding vent piece are gonna be hitting a lot of things in the parking lot... I'm amazed no one's brought it up.
Great video but I just traded my c7 z51 for a used C7 zo6 and my GOD this car is amazing. The C8 can stay not really impressed with the looks and it makes the C7 look even more iconic. Last breed of front engine Vette is amazing. People can have these C8.
What an awesome Corvette. Thank you for this video. Great job.
Very good info. Daily driver would be great south of here. No snow plow option yet from GM. Buffalo NY. We do build your motor here at the engine plant.
Great car. Can't wait till we get to see yours and your reports on the car.
Waiting for Zo6 option if I live long enough.
my C5 has been a killer daily so far
Please build them for Australia 🇦🇺
RHD confirmed!
at vid beginning, i noticed smoke exhaust coming out of the Outer tip only.... are the inner tips real or just for show?
As mentioned previously, I have no use for a Corvette without a manual trans.... No I don't care if the automatic is faster..
Remember that when you are getting gapped. Manual is dead.
@@robertgardner2782 maybe he wants a car for the experience not the specs/lap times.
@@robertgardner2782 pussies dont know will never know how to drive manuals
@@robertgardner2782 After 40 years of driving manual transmissions, I'm pretty good with it. Yes you would probably smoke me in a straight line.. on the road course with lots of turns and up/down shifting I'd be willing to bet the gap would be far less.. we'll never know..
@@bullseye1470 Being a hard that drives a manual wont keep your money in your pocket on race day.
I daily drive my C7, and it's great. Anything but snow. Can't wait to get a C8. Shadow gray, black trim, Z51
A kit cars builders dream from the seventies..finally come true in 2020!!! And she's cute and sexy too!! What's not to love...right?? Her other lady rivals....I hear hissing...and growling in the halls of jealousy!!!!!:)
One of them flexed her paw and hissed at me when I walked passed her in my C8 t-shirt.
