      BMW you pay for the badge, Toyota you pay for the legend.. This new SUPRA is likely not going to become a supercar killer, on the level of the older model. The older SUPRA with moderate modifications could kill supercars which made it very attractive to modders (and with crazy mods was just stupid). I just don't see the new SUPRA with its platform being able to be modified to that extent without spending more than it worth to do it.

    • @CarsCostsandTechnology
      @CarsCostsandTechnology  5 лет назад +20

      That's a tough one. I would say to finance the lowest amount possible to save money on interest, but only if the large down payment isn't going to completely deplete your savings.

    • @littlecatholicman
      @littlecatholicman 5 лет назад

      Always more cash down unless initially saving that money will allow you to make more money than your interest costs over the course of the loan... For example you invest 20k in your business instead of using it for your down payment and this allows you to make more money than the interest from financing that 20k.

    • @BucketWheat
      @BucketWheat 5 лет назад +16

      @@CarsCostsandTechnology > Excellent reply. "Financial advice" is really a one-on-one situation. IF your large cash is coming from an investment account -- that is currently growing very well {especially a Tax-saving 401k} -- then the interest on your loan will be less than the growth of your account. So better to finance, and let your other money keep growing. But if it is in a standard Bank Savings account making only 2% or less interest growth, then probably better to pay down the Car and get a small monthly payment... and budget the 'difference' in what you would have paid per month to go Back into your savings/investment account each month. [ i.e. If your monthly payment would be $1100 for full financing, but with large down payment, will be $400 per month... put $700 per month back into your investment account(s)]

    I can't give up my massive trunk in the C7Z06. Having two separate trunks isn't the same.
    You can't fit continuously long objects like mattresses, TVs, gaming rigs...and it's at this moment I realize I travel too much. 15K Miles in 7 months!

    • @CarsCostsandTechnology
      @CarsCostsandTechnology  4 года назад +1

      Good point. Depending on the cargo the two separate trunks could be either better or worse. I know for smaller items they tended to roll around in my C7 trunk. The smaller frunk on the C8 should be great for those items, but definitely not as good for the bigger things you listed out. I like your channel by the way 👍🏼 I've watched some of your list videos and Z06 content. Thanks for checking out this video.

    I think divided cargo space is actually useful since most ~C7 Corvette owners probably used a cargo divider anyways. Yes you will lose capabilities to carry super large items like TVs and camping tables but people who carry those things on daily basis will probably get a different car. I think it can help keeping everything organized for example you can keep all the work-related items on the front trunk while keeping the rear for groceries and removable roofs. It does seem slightly harder to store racetrack related items like helmets though.

      Arthur vancil absolutely! All season tyres are crap on the white stuff, and mediocre on tarmac compared to high performance summer tyres as the Cup2’s or the even better 4S’s which can take a real downpour also and not just dry, warm tarmac.

      Shuja Abbas Since I have both, I will be the judge of that when I receive a 2020 Corvette in the new year from MacMulkin. The 911 and the Cayman vs. the Corvette are different driving experiences. Actually, the 911 is different than the Cayman...the 911 is more of a GT. Other cars and manufacturers are not going to roll up and fade away because of the 2020 Corvette. Everyone has their favorites and what is relevant to them.
