Sounds killer! Picked up a new 2022 XTC 20th Anniversary with EL34s on Friday and have been digging around the Internet for some settings, as this amp is tricky to dial in. Your settings are great and really like them on my amp as well. Thanks!
He visto miles y miles de videos de amplificadores en youtube. Pero joder, tu sonido final no puede ser mas real y mas fiel a la realidad de un amplificador de valvulas. Me encanta tu canal.
Yessir! That’s excellent. Bogners ability to be mean but still in a very good midrange for mix or live presence. Killer, man. Perhaps my favorite of your amps video tones.
@@blakemansfield2356 You've had a lot of amps. Which ones would you put at the very top tier as far as high quality and best tones. In your opinion. Thanks
@@HiHello-ku1fl All personal of course but my favorites have been this XTC, BE Deluxe, Goldfinger SL. Wizard was nasty. C+ and IV were cool too but a little off for my style. MW Recto was great especially live in the mix- sounded huge. Want to revisit the 20th Shiva - that one floored me back when I had it. Keepers for me are always the ones that are very versatile
Blake, I'm interested in some quick thoughts from you on which Bogner you'd prefer if you wanted classic medium-hard rock versatility at lower volumes for smaller clubs and settings - Goldfinger SL, Ecstacy 3534, or one of these bigger amps with an attenuator?
@@trixlee5102 I like StoneAge cabs, their 2x12b in particular is great. But any decent 2x12 would be fine. For speakers- vintage 30s, greenbacks, or both
Surprisingly no. Not like you might think. If the excursion is in "L" which is the biggest bass response, it is a bit saggy but on the whole, this amp is relatively immediate but not close to stiff
Time for the tough questions. Have you ever tried a Custom Audio OD/PT? If so what's your opinion on them. And what is your favorite amp so far? If you have one of course. Great video as always.
Just thought I would comment really quick since I own a PT 100 and have played many OD (and own a CAE 3+SE). They are some of the best modded Marshall style amps you can get and very versatile live. They are more saturated than something like a Wizard and do not have the same note definition as a SLO, but they have a great fender clean channel and Great gain channel, the PT in particular has one of the best lead channels ever. The PT is more open than the others (especially the OD SE+) and more aggressive overall. The CAA PT100 is also more JCM 800 than the Suhr version of the PT which is more plexi.
Na man haven't played any of the CA amps unfortunately. God, favorite amp so far..standouts for me have been MC100, C+, 20th Shiva, BE100 Deluxe, MW DR. The BE DLX has been my main amp since I got it pretty much and I don't see it going anywhere. So versatile, sits in the mix so nicely, and drops jaws. Looking forward to taking this XTC to practice and seeing how it stands next to the Friedman
Definitely similar in the blue and red channels. Just wayyy beefier on the big boy. 3534 could be a little too pokey in the high end for me and sounded a bit smaller
I have diezels and Bogners and I’m definitely more into my diezels because I’d preference but they definitely in the same league , they just different . So I mix them . They blend well . Only thing I might prefer is my wizard

Anger rising, fuck yeah ! Sounds awesome, man :D
Good catch! Think I played it quite a bit slow but yea - badass riff
Sounds great.
man, you read my mind, ive been gasing over an ecstasy for a few days..but then I remember Im married and that I want to stay alive LOL
Haha. Pretty empty on amps at the moment so I felt justified
You and Zack Wish have the best tones in YT :)
Do you remember if you set this amp in Vintage or Modern mode?
Thanks! Definitely modern
Zock be da mon!
Do you like it much better than the 3534 you had?
I do, but they are similar for sure. That bigger power section though...
Deewd! Roddest xtc along with the mysterious 100 zyborg and the clossic.

Goldfinger SL for sure. Could live with just that amp

Blake, what's your take on the XTC 20th? I had mine for years and just traded it for a Classic.
Loved the red channel. Clean was pretty amazing too. Blue wasn’t quite my thing- but that’s where the 101 shines IMO

More sizzle with the EL34 version vs the 6L6?
