Kershaw can feel that way because he was cheated. It's not a fan thing of just trolling or being mad about it. Kershaw (and his teammates) lost to a team that admitted to cheating. Sometimes that pain doesn't go away. No one has the right to say "get over it". These guys are ultra competitive, they wouldn't be pro athletes if they weren't. They might be able to accept losing in a fair competition but they will never be okay with losing an unfair one.
I am so glad you are pointing out how tired this “buying championships” line is Fuzzy spoiler alert from a Yankees fan we want your teams to spend money too.
Every team has money to spend, it's just 90% of the league has owners that are cheap or just use the team as an atm. There should be a minimum spending limit when it comes to putting a competitive team on the field.
there should be a salary floor having so many bad teams are not good for baseball. the bad teams are hurting possible revenue for the rest of the league. it could also prevent people from wanting to watch the games turning people off from becoming fans.
This is Fuzzy's."It's just a piece of metal" statement. You all know how competitive these guys are. They'll never get over being cheated. It'll always be there as a stain on the Astros. Still mad? Of course, dude. You're a baseball guy. You shouldn't be surprised.
Thank you for that take. As a Yankee fan I’m tired of hearing that we paid for our ticket to the WS. Really, if that was true we would have been there at least 1 or 2 times since 2009…
Dodgers fan here. I agree. People also don't realize that yes the owner is trying to put the best team on the field but all sorts of things (injuries, chemistry) can affect the season. I've always respected the yankees cuz ownership is serious about winning championships.
The rant about cheap owners was so warranted. Personally I feel for Kershaw because he and his team were some of the ones who suffered from the cheating. Regardless of how good the Astros are without it, the fact they did it at all, ever, is the part that will always be icky, and for someone like Kershaw it totally makes sense.
Edman is still under 30 and had a 6.3 WAR just 2 years ago. And he consistently has a war around three or four. Most players with stats like that get a lot more respect
Dodgers. I think its so ignorant that people say that. These are franchises. Privately owned. So there's no ceiling for now. Even so, money can't always buy performance. You can only invest in talent. Low payroll teams have made it. So for those... please stand back
Your ok with people cheating you or others out of their dreams? Yeah those Astro players are good but they still cheated and Kershaw should keep bringing it up cause MLB did nothing about it and everyone still says the Astros won that WS.
People think that cheap owners are doing the moneyball tactic and that they deserve to win, but the moneyball strategy isn't just finding cheap players, its finding players who get on base. The A's, the whitesox, the marlins, all these teams have cheap players but none of them get on base. That's not moneyball that's just being cheap.
Moneyball also doesn't work when the teams that spend money do so on the players who get on base the best. Everyone understands OBP>BA, OPS/OPS+ is a key to success. It's not a secret anymore. It's why the high payroll teams are making the playoffs at a greater rate.
Okay so maybe every team should find a way to cheat since it'll be forgiven and forgotten 7 years later. Come on Fuzzy 😂 We could have had Yankees vs Dodgers in 2017 if it weren't for that bs
I wouldn’t bring up the Orioles anymore in that rant, this is the first offseason for the new O’s owner Rubenstein, he recently said he plans to spend big this offseason after the 2nd disappointing playoff performance in a row and he wants to get the O’s to the world series. Also they have Cal fricken Ripken himself on the ownership group too, they both went to nearly every home game in 2024 and absolutely love this team they’re building!
It's not that the Yankees and Dodgers "buy" their championships. It's the fact that people like you and me (who vote for the respective Ohio teams) are essentially wasting our time rooting for our teams because our owners won't spend. Also Fuzzy you know if our respective owners do spend the money the cost is passed down to us in the form of increased prices for concessions, tickets, etc. I don't like it either, and I want an I-71 World Series for us, and I hate how my ownership runs the Reds, but this is the current state of MLB.
Thank you for saying that at the beginning, as an orioles fan I pray new ownership learns that lesson bc we COULD make it to the WS with the foundation we have
Altuve and Bregman have had solid careers since the scandal, but notable players such as Correa and Springer were obviously helped by the cheating system. Then you add in the random players they had that suddenly peaked that year? That's why 2017 should still be looked at with the stink eye. I don't mind players of the Astros who had no affiliation with 2017, but the organization of the Astros absolutely deserves hate and fans should never downplay the scandal
Fuzzy is right if you really love the team your own why not spend as much as your can to get an advantage if you want your team to have a fair shot at a championship
Good rant. Brewers fan here, and we have a poverty owner. There needs to be a salary floor, AND a cap. Stop rewarding teams for doing the bare minimum. But there has to be a way to reign in the huge spenders too. How? No idea. But the health of the game is going to suffer with these extremes.
Dodgers should’ve won 2017 game 1 kershaw pitches a gem at home but all of a sudden when he goes his next outing in Huston the astros know how to lay off his curveball 🤔
I agree that the Astros were cheating. I also agree the dodgers SHOULD have won. But what you just said is not evidence of cheating, teams do that all the time. Look at the Dodgers literally last night (I am a dodgers fan btw), in game 2 they basically could not do anything against Manaea. But game 6 they have a new look and know what pitches to lay off and what pitches to go after. In-series adjustments are not conducive of cheating, they are what makes good teams with good staffs good. Even if the Astros were not cheating (WHICH THEY WERE), they still could have came back in Kershaw's next outing and shelled him.
@@BagelsEater Your narrative is logical in nature overall but in this case the Astros having such drastically opposite offensive stats when playing at home compared to the away games throughout that postseason speaks volumes.
The Astros were not the only team to ever cheat. All of these clowns need to get a life. Kershaw needs to get them out of his head. He's mad because he got bombed in L.A. in 17.
Hey, genius, Why don't you ask Angels' owner Arte Moreno how spending all that money has worked out for him? He's paying over $37 million a year on Mike Trout, a worthless albatross for the team; and about the same on another worthless player, Anthony Rendon. You're confusing cost with value....
Kershaw ought to look down the dugout and chastise that cheater Mookie Betts while he’s pointing fingers. Give JT Watkins a high five on your way to the video room too.
Fuzzy, you did a whole video on MLB copyright striking your videos and how unfair it was that you put it in all of this hard work to not be able to reap the benefits of it. You at least had it resolved and were made right… Kershaw, the Dodgers and their fan base has not… til this day, they still hold a 2017 WS trophy, rings, and banner while Dodgers have to hear that they got a “Mickey Mouse Ring” to Kershaw and the team and their fans it’s more about the loss of the legacy that should have been. MLB never punished the Astros so they have to wear it! If you would have not gotten your issue resolved with your videos, you would still be salty. I get it, Dodgers have more haters than most other franchises but until it happens to your team, it’s not a big deal to you!
You need to do your homework and learn why the Astros were not punished more than they were. Of course, they have had to live with all the unwarranted hate that they had to endure since 17. That in itself is punishment enough. And I'm sure a lot of people would say good. But let's be fair. MLB and Manfred hid the fact that their money-making teams were cheating also. It was an equal playing field. And the Astros were just that good ! There was no cheating in the postseason. They won, and all you cry babies need to get over it. The Yankees and the Dodgers lost. Deal with it instead of making excuses that they were better than the Astros. They were not better. Plus the Yankees and the Dodgers cheated also. That Trophy stands proud at minute maid park. The Astros earned it, and we're proud of it and will always be. I don't know if you're a Dodger or Yankee fan. They are in the WS now. Appreciate that your team could win instead of living in the past. It's useless. And people like Fuzzy keep this stuff going. That's how they're making money. He is not concerned about you or me !!
As a Dodger fan I really don’t care anymore about 2017 I was at Game 7 and it was a home game and we didn’t come to play cheating or not Game 7 was make or break at home and we lost Kersh pitched an excellent game after replacing Darvish but the Dodger offense never showed up we lost 5-1 the most quiet I have ever heard that stadium. Kersh should now focus on trying to be healthy or retire man and let’s go beat those Yankees 12th meeting between the 2 and let’s see if we can beat them for a 4th time
Fuzzy, I appreciate that you are calling out these fans for being hypocrites when it comes to teams spending money. Not enough people are calling these fans out
What sucks the most is Cleveland was like 2 mid tier starting pitchers away from pushing the ALCS further. Leaned too much on bullpen. I blame the complete collapse of Triston McKenzie and Logan Allen but FO gotta fill them spots this off-season
Fuzzy, the thing is, would they be saying the same thing if it was the Mets and Yankees in the WS? People just want to be mad at teams that invest instead of being mad at cheap freaking owners. Forget cheap owners not making sense; Fuzzy ought to listen to Himself and try to "make it make sense." Kershaw pointed out the Astros lineup was tough, but - as he himself had proven in previous meetings, manageable; however, when given the added, unfair advantage derived from illegal sign-stealing, it became it Unbeatable. It is not a cnotroversial statement. Barry Bonds was always great hitter. Pumped up, unfairly, on illegal PEDs, he was almost Impossible to pitch to. Same idea.

I passionately feel the same way you do Fuzz it's annoying af seeing all these crybabies use payroll as copium. if anyone had the Mets making it that far (let alone getting INTO the postseason) they're just flat out lying
It’s a dream World Series matchup to many true baseball fans. Two global brands, two juggernaut teams, two soon to be MVPs, and many other generational superstars. PS: Dodgers vs Guardians is my alternative dream matchup for similar stars, different Payrol. I agree about those who don’t like the aforementioned matchup above being a “propaganda”. Those are likely ‘football first’ fans in disguise. After all this is the first matchup in 43 years (1981). Those from younger generation will get a chance to experience for the first time.
Fuzzy you have to understand net worth and how companies look at businesses when the owner sells their stock in their companies. Those other companies have many families that they support too you don't want their ability to raise funds hinge in any part with how an owner sells their stock to pay for baseball players. It doesn't make financial sense and may shrink an owners company. If MLB wants to grow in certain areas then they have to invest, not have the owners take money out of other corporations that have nothing to do with baseball.

@@dffndjdjd😂😂😂😂 so altuve hiding the wire against the Yankees....we didn't all see that. Ok.
I am so glad you are pointing out how tired this “buying championships” line is Fuzzy spoiler alert from a Yankees fan we want your teams to spend money too.
Every team has money to spend, it's just 90% of the league has owners that are cheap or just use the team as an atm. There should be a minimum spending limit when it comes to putting a competitive team on the field.
owners who want to win games SPEND MONEY. its part of the game
there should be a salary floor having so many bad teams are not good for baseball. the bad teams are hurting possible revenue for the rest of the league. it could also prevent people from wanting to watch the games turning people off from becoming fans.
The Astros will be called cheaters forever.
There's a reason why they're called Cheatros for a reason.

There’s no way this is bad for the Fans! Dodgers Vs Yankees dates back to the history of baseball!
The pressure is more on the Yankees if they don’t win it might be another 15 years for another World Series appearance
We need more fuzzy rants these are funny and great
This is the best world series matchup in years
Why does most of America won't both teams to lose?
Did anyone here knows that in 1974 the Dodgers were in the World Series . They lost to the Oakland A's . Oakland won their 3rd consecutive WS
Does Kershaw still hold a grudge against betts for cheating him out of 2018??
No one has reminded Kershaw that he sucks in the playoffs.
Edman is still under 30 and had a 6.3 WAR just 2 years ago. And he consistently has a war around three or four. Most players with stats like that get a lot more respect
I'm disappointed fuzzy. I know you're a cleveland fan but it's wild that you didn't make a reaction vid for game 5 of yankees vs. Guardians
Dodgers. I think its so ignorant that people say that. These are franchises. Privately owned. So there's no ceiling for now. Even so, money can't always buy performance. You can only invest in talent. Low payroll teams have made it. So for those... please stand back
When half of the team is still the team that cheated, we’ll call them what they are till they’re gone.
Half the team? You mean Altuve and Berkman? Get your facts straight.
@@DaemonPix Yuli & Verlander played with them for years after. Altuve is the face of that team.
Come on Fuzzy 😂
We could have had Yankees vs Dodgers in 2017 if it weren't for that bs
I wouldn’t bring up the Orioles anymore in that rant, this is the first offseason for the new O’s owner Rubenstein, he recently said he plans to spend big this offseason after the 2nd disappointing playoff performance in a row and he wants to get the O’s to the world series.
Also they have Cal fricken Ripken himself on the ownership group too, they both went to nearly every home game in 2024 and absolutely love this team they’re building!
"Stand for the land" is such a joke when the Dolans don't even care about the fans
The Phillies weren’t a juggernaut in 2022 just yet
It's not that the Yankees and Dodgers "buy" their championships. It's the fact that people like you and me (who vote for the respective Ohio teams) are essentially wasting our time rooting for our teams because our owners won't spend.
Also Fuzzy you know if our respective owners do spend the money the cost is passed down to us in the form of increased prices for concessions, tickets, etc. I don't like it either, and I want an I-71 World Series for us, and I hate how my ownership runs the Reds, but this is the current state of MLB.
Thank you for saying that at the beginning, as an orioles fan I pray new ownership learns that lesson bc we COULD make it to the WS with the foundation we have
Why are fans mad
They mad it’s not their team
It's a giant douche vs a turd sandwich match
because it’s both of the most hated teams in sports. they’re mad thag it’s two of the highest payroll teams. people on instagram are going crazy
@@calitexan4386redsox fans will root for the dodgers sf giants fans will root for the Yankees
Hence why as a Dodgers fan I am so happy about our new ownership group after the mccourt nightmare.
Good rant. Brewers fan here, and we have a poverty owner. There needs to be a salary floor, AND a cap. Stop rewarding teams for doing the bare minimum. But there has to be a way to reign in the huge spenders too. How? No idea. But the health of the game is going to suffer with these extremes.
This is an A+ take fuzzy! Great stuff as usual
Dodgers should’ve won 2017 game 1 kershaw pitches a gem at home but all of a sudden when he goes his next outing in Huston the astros know how to lay off his curveball 🤔
They would have lost to the Yankees in the WS that year without the cheating by the Astros.
Weird how unlike the regular season you can hear trash cans all the time yet 0 in the postseason which was the only way they cheated
@@robertcropley7714 From now on you can refer to the Astros as Daddy. No Yankee fan should ever call out any player or team for cheating. Ever!

The Astros were not the only team to ever cheat. All of these clowns need to get a life. Kershaw needs to get them out of his head. He's mad because he got bombed in L.A. in 17.
It’s statistically proven that arguably the best player on the roster didn’t even use the system. But he should be banned? You’re dumb 😂
Good point
If I was Kershaw, I wouldn't need to bring it up because the entire baseball world is doing it for me.
2017 Asstros, World Series Chumps. Forever tainted, that trophy should be tossed into that garbage can they used to whack.
Kershaw was just saying a FACT.
Fuzzy decided today to speak facts
As a Dodger fan I really don’t care anymore about 2017 I was at Game 7 and it was a home game and we didn’t come to play cheating or not Game 7 was make or break at home and we lost Kersh pitched an excellent game after replacing Darvish but the Dodger offense never showed up we lost 5-1 the most quiet I have ever heard that stadium. Kersh should now focus on trying to be healthy or retire man and let’s go beat those Yankees 12th meeting between the 2 and let’s see if we can beat them for a 4th time
We got the best two teams im happy what more can we ask for
Kershaw is right. In the old days they would have been BANNED FOR LIFE.
I respect David Cohen and Peter Seidler, may he rest in peace, for actually investing. A tired narrative that people need to stop using. I'm over the moon to see this. My bro is a Yankees fan and I'm a Dodgers fan and we are freaking excited! A classic in the modern day.
NY rode the wave & has been buying their W's since the mid 70's so that's nothing new.
Astros weren't the only team doing electronic sign stealing, they were the only team caught blatantly. Thats's why the punishment wasn't so severe. So many players have come out stating it, the dodgers literally have mookie betts who was on the red sox during their apple watch scandal too
Nobody wants to do research on this though 🤭
No evidence of the dodgers cheating but Mookie did do the Apple Watch thing but that was not nearly as bad as the trash can

Maybe Kershaw gets another ring this year
2017 Asstros are cheaters and they will live with that forever.
Kershaw must be particularly mad about the pivotal game 5 which was held in Houston, when he pitched.
Fans want a rule for every team to spend the same amount. So, most I have seen want everyteam to only spend $100 million as the salary cap.
And remember, a lot of that revenue coming from Ohtani and Judge merch goes to ALL owners, too.
