Jesus Christ IS the messiah. Every prophet in your Torah points to Him as the messiah. You lost the genealogy of your priests so any candidate who would pop up for you would be unverifiable and therefore a false prophet.

@@johnruby1363 Wait, I never said anything about him receiving any favors. I said that it only counts if the person doing the defeating is not inherently perfect. Of course I expect a perfect being to defeat evil, so it shouldn't be treated as a major accomplishment for somebody like that to do such a thing. It would be wondrous if the person was like everybody else and managed to rise to the level of becoming perfect. That would be something to speak about. I would be happy to study the verses you mentioned with you, and think that they are out of context. Regarding Psalms 8:5-6, the term "son of man" is used throughout the Tanakh to refer to normal human beings, so I'm not sure why we would assume it refers to Jesus in this verse. But keep reading. Verses 7-8 say, _"You give him dominion over the work of Your hands; You have placed everything beneath his feet. Flocks and cattle, all of them, and also the beasts of the field..."_ Doesn't this sound like Genesis 1:28, _"And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the sky and over all the beasts that tread upon the earth"?_ Can we agree that Genesis is talking about Man? Know that I'm not trying to knock or destroy your faith, far from it, I am simply telling that you can believe in God directly with no intermediary, and the Torah itself tells you so in Deuteronomy 30:11-13. About Psalms 22:9-10, doesn't it seem like King David is the one doing the talking? Almost of all Psalms are written in this way, with King David beckoning to God. Further, Verse 3 says, _"My God, I call out by day and You do not reply, and at night I do not keep silent."_ Why is God not responding to Jesus? The answer is that King David is the author of this Psalm, and he is beseeching God to help him. There is a similar verse that says, _"When I had not yet formed you in the womb, I knew you, and when you had not yet emerged from the womb, I had appointed you; a prophet to the nations I made you."_ This is found in Jeremiah 1:5, and God is speaking to Jeremiah there. See also Isaiah 49:1. Regarding Isaiah, make sure to read Chapters 42 and 49, where God refers to Israel (the Jews) as "My servant." I'd be happy to study Isaiah 53 with you, but it may have different conclusions from what you've been taught.

Zionist Christians don't make much sense to me. If you listen to these rabbis it is clear that they think Jesus was a false messiah. If you asks these televangelist why they are soliciting donations from Christians in America to give to Israel, it is based on the idea that either 1.
