I know. It saddens me 2142 barely gets mentioned in anything. Like I actually watch videos that have 'every battlefield" mentioned in title to make sure 2142 is in it. Love that game. Hoping 2142 gets into bf portal.
That one was my favorite before the new ones. I hope they add some 2142 stuff for Battlefield Portal. I'm hooked if they do. I mean the fact you could launch from a ground to air drop pod to their flying fortress was so dang badass
I never played the Titan Assualt mode in 2142, but I did play Carrier Assault in BF4, and it quickly became a favorite for me. Wish more people played it still.
I was on the very last end of 2142 being populated, and it was the first battlefield multiplayer I got to play. It was INCREDIBLE. Was 2142 frustrating at times for various reasons, like gunplay+hit registration? Absolutely. Was Titan mode the greatest video game FPS mode I've ever played in like 20 years? Yes. And it's not even close.
Bad Company 2 was the best for me. BF3 required a 100 hours to max out a class in BC2 it could be done in less than half of that time. BF3 also had less destructive environents and aiming without aim assist on console was damn near impossible.
@@Accuracy158 I prefer a Battle Pass over loot boxes (surprise mechanics 🤣), if they decide to sell map packs that would just fracture the community since not everyone will have the same maps. I'm actually thinking of getting BF 2048 only because I saw a classic BC2 map Arica, that brings back good memories.
The sound in this game led to a level of immersion that is unmatched by any other Battlefield game. Despite the fact that it does have its flaws, all in all, it's still the best game in the franchise, IMO.
I wish I could’ve played BF3. The trolling videos of the game made the Battlefield series my favorite. I guess I’ll live with the BF4 experience for now 😂
BF3 is truly like no other and by far the best FPS I've ever played. Still try and get your hands on it if you can. I'm just waiting to see if 2042 can top BF3.
Thank you for proving these points, BF4 is when they started to appeal to the masses. It just felt like they tried to say.. look how big this is or look how cool this is. It had no soul. In BF3 it was more simple but it was better because it was way more focused intense combat.
The problem was...And yet no ONE says anything about it..But On CONSOLES Battlefield 3 NEVER got a proper release....Console players got Half Maps...Half Graphics and Half the players than PC.. When Bf4 came out it finally showed what Battleifled 3 PC players were able to play...Hence why people called BF4 the best...But I played on both and I have to say BF3 was Amazing and wish Consoles got to experience it
Battlefield 3, Vietnam, Bad Company 2, even Black Ops 2... Those were legendary days for fps gamers, all games that came after that felt weirdly arcady and of putting in some way.
I remember buying bad company 2 while my brother was still obsessed with call of duty. Our game room set up was two tvs side by side. When I started sniping on panama canal he saw that bullet drop was a thing and immediately wanted to try the game. He hasn't touched call of duty after that moment
I have played BF2,BF2142,BC2,BF3,BF4,BF1 (and Project reality for those who know it) The hype for BF3 was HUGE, I think it was a good game, but for me it didn't have the fun factor BC2 had. BC2 was special. For me BC2 is the most fun game I have ever played (since the age of 3 I am 25). But BF2 deserves the title as the best BF2 game, it was so god damn revolutionary and incredible, the soundtracks, the maps, the vibe, everything was so ... Right
BF3's suppression was fine for me. It was very noticeable even in my (at the time) young eyes. But when I play BFV with ZERO suppression, I miss the good old days. I can shoot at a sniper all I want in BFV but they will still just go "no u" and 1-shot me in the face after I've pumped like 5 bullets into them from long range. snipers in BFV feel like they have no counter.
Battlefield 3 was and still is lightning in a bottle. It was my first entry into the franchise (ironically by accident from the Medal of Honor Reboot) But just on that alone it holds a special place in my gaming nostalgia. And I'm guessing more and more than I'm in the minority when it comes to the suppression system from BF3, which I was actually pretty well accustomed to. To me, it added to the immersion of being in a firefight. That snap of a round flying past and blurring and affecting my accuracy gave me that since of 'Shit, cover!' and relocate to a better position. But again, that was just me. It also seemed like the content was more worth while with Battlefield 3, even with the Premium Pass system. Ironically, it's seemed as if ever since the Live Service model started getting used with Battlefield, the content just hasn't felt the same. cosmetics, minimal map drops. maybe a new weapon here and there. But with Battlefield 3's Premium...all the new and extra content just felt worth the additional cost. Sadly, it's felt like Battlefield has been on a slow downward spiral since Battlefield 4. Speaking honestly. If we could get a Battlefield 3 Remastered, I'd take that over what we're seeing with 2042 any day.
I've been playing since 1942 and can honestly say I've had a ton of fun with each BF. Of course some more than others but they each had their own charm. It's a game that makes you feel like you're part of something bigger while most FPS just feel like everyone is Rambo.
Battlefield 3 was the game that really made me jump fully onto the Battlefield train. Right from first playing and taking part in the naval invasion where everyone jumps in amtracs and helos, to jumping off damavand peak with your entire team for the first time, or running down the halls of metro just to realize too late that you and your squad just ran right into a support players trap. One of my fondest gaming memories is witnessing an intense air to air battle on Caspian border as I was perched up on the tower with my sniper rifle while our tanks were fighting just below me. One of those "only in Battlefield" moments
3 was much better. Teamwork was huge and a lot of people used their mic. 2XP weekends and getting snacks ready for a Battlefield marathon was the shiznit. Great video! Thanks.
Bad Company 2 was peak to me. I like how it was balanced, I like even more vehicle destruction on BC2 than on BF3, bullet drop, weapon recoil. BF3 felt so much like CoD. I remember playing for a short of period of time I become really good at BF3, but on BC2 it required some time. And God how much I hated suppression effect and the sung glare.
I'd say the exact opposite, BC2 felt a lot more like CoD with useful weapons like the M60 being blatantly nerfed into literal uselessness with every stat being lower than the preferred PKM which was unlocked earlier. Overall BF2 just felt like 3 lane maps which were extremely long, good for rush but bad for conquest. The destruction was alright but making every building destructible lead to every building looking almost the exact same. The recoil was almost non existent and the bullet drop was predictable, easily one of the most "CoD-Like" Battlefield games out there
Suppression was such a huge importance to the game. Most players did not understand it. Being suppressed made your weapon kick more. The gun playing the game was top notch 10 out of 10. The guns just weren't bullet hoses.
This is an awesome video! I was on battlelog yesterday and saw my old bf3 account. God the amount of hours I put into BF3. Account has 25k+ kills and everything unlocked lol

Where's my PS3 gang at? I still play BF3 but it's frustrating with how many times I died around corners due to bad netcode, couldn't find servers in the US, or had to deal with hackers and ban-happy admins.
Several months back I played BF3 Venice Unleashed which improved tickrate on servers and many other issues and it felt pretty smooth (compared to original BF3), but when I switched to BF4 it was night and day difference, like BF3 was just some early alpha version of BF4, but BF3 has some special raw feeling to it. By the way Battlefield Heroes was just perfect and so ahead of its time and even tho you cant compare it much with BF3 or BF4, in its own way it might have been even better than both of them.
After all these years and with how games are made now without players in mind, I am just happy that I got to have these memories from BF3. Emotional moments during my teens where a night up at 2am on Damavand was where I wanted to be. I understand why we want what we had, but a masterpiece like BF3 was a once in a lifetime achievement. Where games could be made by gamers for gamers and the broad culture was about unity. Lying to yourself and expecting any game these days to reach that peak is setting yourself up for disappointment.
Man, that mention of 1943 at the end, what a throwback. I used to kick ass at dog fighting in that game. Was definitely a nice surprise to get a smaller Battlefield experience w/ WW2 skin at a great price all those years ago.

Bf3 was my entry point but I didn't really get to experience battlefield true potential till I got online capabilities in 2013 about 8 months before bf4. I still play bf4 semi regularly now and am happy to of been able to play both. Love the maps of bf3, and the weapon customisation of 4. If we get both in 2042 even with the plus system I'll be happy with 2p42 and cannot wait to make content for it
BF1 was a cinematic masterpiece that really just put you in the shoes of a terrified conscript in the First World War. A lot of design decisions I wasn’t a fan of, but I’ll be damned if it’s not fun to revisit sometimes just for the sheerly oppressive atmosphere of war.
God, I remember my friend getting a brand new PC back in '11 for this game, and I couldn't believe how amazing it looked and played. I was a hardcore BF2, Bad Company 1/2 fan, so in my opinion it's still the best. battlefield 2042 is already pre-ordered, I can't WAIT for this one.
I honestly grew up playing bf4 but luckily had the chance to play it before just a handful of times and wish I played 3 instead , bf3 is truly the best modern battlefield

Couldn't agree more. The hours I put into BF3...Haven't been that into a shooter before, or since. The OG Warzone came close, but still wasn't BF3. IMO, all EA would have to do is "remaster" BF3/BF4 using the BF1 engine, and I for one, would be content.

@@JozefLucifugeKorzeniowski not sure, i dont play tdm much, mostly conquest but yeah, alot of people like that map but its just alright for me, Im sure that happens more often than not
Am I the only one who fell in love with BF2142 Titan Mode? I have such fond memories of it and have been praying for it to come back with every BF release since. The game never even gets mentioned which makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Same here!
Eh i always turned off aim assist, had like a near 7.0 kdr too.
@@RealFuzzyPickLE530 Aim assist is terrible for me, I played almost 100 hours of BC2 without it.
AiM AsSiSt … bruh
@@Accuracy158 BF3 was the tipping point for Micro Transactions as we know it today!
@@CharismaStrategies are bf3 servers still going or no
@@phines93 yep i still play everyday on them

Thank you for proving these points, BF4 is when they started to appeal to the masses. It just felt like they tried to say.. look how big this is or look how cool this is. It had no soul. In BF3 it was more simple but it was better because it was way more focused intense combat.
The problem was...And yet no ONE says anything about it..But On CONSOLES Battlefield 3 NEVER got a proper release....Console players got Half Maps...Half Graphics and Half the players than PC.. When Bf4 came out it finally showed what Battleifled 3 PC players were able to play...Hence why people called BF4 the best...But I played on both and I have to say BF3 was Amazing and wish Consoles got to experience it
Close quarters! Loved that dlc map pack AND coop missions!
I have played BF2,BF2142,BC2,BF3,BF4,BF1 (and Project reality for those who know it)
The hype for BF3 was HUGE, I think it was a good game, but for me it didn't have the fun factor BC2 had. BC2 was special.
For me BC2 is the most fun game I have ever played (since the age of 3 I am 25). But BF2 deserves the title as the best BF2 game, it was so god damn revolutionary and incredible, the soundtracks, the maps, the vibe, everything was so ... Right
Man BC2 was such a special game. It just absolutely nailed it for the time it came out.
battlefield 3 on ps3 is still rocking with almost 14 servers all day full of people.
I think you just about hit the nail on the head with this one. I am excited to see BF3 in the Portal!
100 reasons Bad Company 2 is the best
Battlefield 3 laid the foundation for the modern battlefield games.
Without shadow of a doubt Battlefield 3 is one of the greatest games ever!!!
Facts....... greatest games ever
Thanks.
Bad company 2 for me that I owned. Always wanted BF Vietnam and BF2 on PC though.
It was simply the best, it was the peak for bf games and went down hill after bf3, glad it was in 2011 it were a great year for gamers
The recoil was almost non existent and the bullet drop was predictable, easily one of the most "CoD-Like" Battlefield games out there
BC2*
Suppression was such a huge importance to the game. Most players did not understand it. Being suppressed made your weapon kick more. The gun playing the game was top notch 10 out of 10. The guns just weren't bullet hoses.
This is an awesome video! I was on battlelog yesterday and saw my old bf3 account. God the amount of hours I put into BF3. Account has 25k+ kills and everything unlocked lol
I can't choose a favorite, 3 and 4 are both amazing
Battlefield 3 single player, best war game you have ever experienced.
Battlefield 3 was the daddy... Just remaster BF3.
Plz do for the next gen console
On console maybe, but on pc it literally beats any game that came out in the last 5 years

I’m OG BF 1942 and BF3 is still my all time favorite. I love all but this one is my fav by far.

9. Bad Company 2 was the Best! 💯
Battlefield 3 campaign was awesome, I played some missions hundreds of times.
Lol, I played Heroes during Battlefield lulls and honestly enjoyed it for what it was.
USAS 12 with frag rounds were amazing before the nerf 😂😂.
Ahhh reminds me of the old days, running around with my shotgun with frag rounds hitting people from far away with splash damage good times
I hope 2042 lets us customize our guns and load outs from the main menu instead of forcing you to tool around during a match.
What game did that?

Love playing this game, fire up some more of them servers again please
Anyone who hasn’t played BF3 NEEDS to go and play it. My favourite game of all time.
Bonking people with the drone was the best. Worst thing I’ve enjoyed to do in a MP game
No regrets, lol.
Would love a remaster 😊
never thought i would find myself agreeing with gamestop but here i am. GREAT points alot of which are never mentioned by youtubers. agree with basically everything you said. bf3 was the most fun.
Nah beat battlefield game I’ve played was bad company 2. Honestly it’s the best FPS I’ve ever played
True
BF1 is the most immersive battlefield imo makes you actually feel like you're in a war
I think Battlefield 1 is the best because of the atmosphere
Same, I still play it
God, I remember my friend getting a brand new PC back in '11 for this game, and I couldn't believe how amazing it looked and played. I was a hardcore BF2, Bad Company 1/2 fan, so in my opinion it's still the best. battlefield 2042 is already pre-ordered, I can't WAIT for this one.
The class system in 3 was just f*cking perfect ...simple, effective and promoted teamplay
Battlefield 2, 2142, and Bad Company for me are the Best battlefields. Vietnam was also very fun
Yeah Aaron finally you did a great job with the nostalgia!
Whose defib anyone you can find in the match
Also, no one can match BF3 alborz mountain
Thanks!
I agree with every point here, and I think you covered them all too.
I honestly grew up playing bf4 but luckily had the chance to play it before just a handful of times and wish I played 3 instead , bf3 is truly the best modern battlefield
God I miss suppression! We need meaningful suppression back! Makes the game more tactical
Exactly. Casuals don’t understand this they just whine.
Im excited to see if bf2 2005 content will be added to bf portal. Seeing 2000s era marines face off against 2000s era pla troops. Maps like daqing oilfields, dragon valley or Fushe Pass
very solid video
I could come up with 100 reasons why Battlefield 3 IS the best
not only that! the voicelines in bf3 is so fun. I love everytime I join a server I hear that 'aaaaaaaa I spotted a hostile soldier in your ao over' ...
My 4 reasons why BF3 was the best.
1. Operation Metro
2. Best maps
3. Best jets
4. The kill feed was more satisfying with the green and orange
One of the best things about BF3 was the campaign. Shame 2042 has none.
2 reasons, live service game and giving more recourses to multiplayer.
BF3’s campaign sucked
I can tell you moments from modern warfare and mw2 campaigns but I can't remember shit from bf3 and that game is the newest of the 3. The multiplayer blows it away.
I completely agree...except Battlefield Bad Company 2 was better
Couldn't agree more. The hours I put into BF3...Haven't been that into a shooter before, or since. The OG Warzone came close, but still wasn't BF3. IMO, all EA would have to do is "remaster" BF3/BF4 using the BF1 engine, and I for one, would be content.
great review of BF3 and BF4
BF3 is the best if your on PC, the console version is almost a completely different game due to the hardware limitations
no its not. its basicly conguest player size but still conquest large maps. graphics still look same. only diffrence performace. the menu even better bcouse server inside the game.
@@MrStrangermoon lol it is "like" a completely different game, even the low settings look better than the consoles and the consoles had 24 players max whereas it was 64 on PC.
Sure it had the same map size but they felt empty with only 24 players...
@@MrEditsCinema console settings not eveything low. at least for xbox one bacward compact. the servers better than pc now bcouse game in gamepass.
I'm the person who started with battlefield Vietnam and BF 2 and skipped BFBC2 and BF3 to come back to BF4 . I have played BF3 and BFBC2 since then on gamepass and I agree about the map design . My favourite is probably still battlefield Vietnam
BF3 was the GOAT, and I played on the buggy 30fps 24 player count PS3, and loved every moment.
All I want is BF3 classes, BF3 maps, BF3 damage models, and BF4 customization and vehicles.
Battlefield 3>black ops 2 and 3 there I said it
I think they were too different, but battlefield 4 was good as well
BF3 and Black Ops 2 are both the two Kings of their individual series for me.
just one Thing to Clear up
DICE or Any Gaming Studio cannot satisfy its Fan Base , i learned this from playing Playing Battlefield
Accept and appreciate every game they make, because at the end of the day they did their Best and Work hard to generate Never Seen before ideas
and im glad i played Almost every Battlefield Game and i truely enjoyed it and i hope others do the same thing

I know I fell in love with both battlefield but damn how the hell you remember things a decade ago unless you kept playing it
Best maps.

My entry point was modern combat 2 on console, I was then 15 years old hehe, now I'm 30 and I still enjoy BF games till this day, second games BFBC2 then 3,4,1,5 and waiting till 2042
Battlefield 3 is the first Battlefield game I played, it was a long time ago and I wasn't familiar with Battlefield, when I played the campaign I was so impressed sadly I didn't finish it because it was so real I felt nauseous.
