It means so much that you made an effort to make this easy for people outside of Japan. Sometimes it can be hard to find certain ingredients, so it’s really sweet that you made it with different ingredients.
Moe lived abroad for a while so she knows very well the struggles of finding Japanese ingredients and having to use something else as a substitute because certain ingredients can’t be found outside of Japan.
@@nado5918 Today there are huge Asian markets in some places. I have been able to find many of the ingredients but they are expensive and sometimes in small quantities. Some states don't have Asian stores and some do.
@@FlutePlayer777 a lot of Asian grocery stores have a complete frozen Oden. So you just have to dump it all in boiling water

I love that Sutan got a healthy snack, is sitting in a big girl chair, and is so happy and loved. Plus she's a very smart little girl who loves her parents.
That is not a chair. It is her tower so she can stand next to her mom. It is made of two chairs though. haha. She is super smart. Can count to 10 and she is not even 2 yet in this video.

The dress is called Kimono and the apron is called Kappougi. Basically an apron dress.

This is an interesting recipe for oden soup. I live in an area in the US where there are many Asian markets, so I can often buy ingredients that I need for Chinese, Japanese and Korean foods that I like to cook (I'm Chinese myself). Even though I have access to the Japanese ingredients for the oden soup (the Japanese markets also sells oden sets with soup already included), I want to try your recipe using oyster sauce to see how it will taste. I love putting in lots of fish cakes, tofu pouches with mochi, boiled eggs, daikon and lotus root. I sometimes put in a onion, and let the onion cook for a long time until it almost melts, and is very delicious. Thank you for your wonderful videos, and Happy New Year!
What a gem! Oden is one of my very favorite Japanese dishes, but it's almost impossible to find in restaurants here in the States. And my college friend whose wife would often make it for us after an afternoon of study relocated back to Japan decades ago. I finally made it with Hondashi and shrimp balls, That was really good. This has given me many more ideas for ingredients to try out. Thanks so much!
