    Good review. Have that exact wheel for almost a year now. Couldn't be happier with it. Also really happy with the rubber grips (don't have sweaty hands). Had an alcantara steering wheel before that. Don't want it ever again.

      Great to hear that! Absolutely the rubber grips are way more convenient than the Alcantara ones. That is why I bought them too, but wanted to mention that they can get slippery. What other wheels do you have?

      @@reicals no other wheel currently, don't need one 😉 I had the Fanatec Formula Carbon.

      Hi Thomas, thanks for your post. I always thought alcantara is very good, but often people say its not good, can you say why you dont like alcantara?
      I want to buy a wheel and want to figure out, what material i should choose.

      @@Pro-Bert Hi, Alcantara wears out over time. So it will get ugly. There are a lot of quality differences in Alcantara. There's very good Alcantara (expensive) which will last quite some time, and there's the oppositie as well. But they wear out always. When you have sweaty hands, you will have to drive with gloves on. Otherwise it will wear out really quick. I don't have that but still it wears out. Had an alcantara fanatec rim in the past and after 1 year of driving it was worn. I have my Simagic GT4 wheel now for 1,5 years and it still looks brand new. The rubber grips are really good at Simagic in my opinion.

    Great review…. I’m curious though as to what car u were referring to as having a round wheel from time to time. As far as I’m aware the last round wheel in a gt3 was the 991 gt3r gen1. The gen 2 has a modern 300mm open top wheel.

    Hi, i have GT4PRO and in the SimProManager only moves Clutch 2 bar. Clutch 1 doesn´t move.
    I press left Clutch and then in the software SimPro the Clutch 2 bar goes to 50% and when i press right clutch in the whell, then in clutch 2 bar that was at 50% goes to 100%
    But as i said, Clutch 1 in the SimPro doesn´t move.
    Notice also that Sync Button don´t appear in the Simpro.

      Understandable, it is expensive wheel, tho to credit where credit due, it's noticably cheaper than other full DDU wheels out there. But then again, for me fixed DDU makes more sense, personally, than the one on the wheel. What would you primarely be using the rim for? GT racing?

    • @rover1374
      @rover1374 Год назад +1

      @@reicals I think I’d be better off getting the next base up over the FX Pro as I’m planning on getting the Simagic Mini as well. Currently race Porsche Cup and will do some GT3 and maybe LMP and Formula. Leaning towards the FX-C as at 290mm it could do it all but the GT-C at 325mm might just be a bit big for LMP and Formula. Wish they had a newer 300mm open wheel! Do you think the FX-C would be more versatile?

    • @reicals
      @reicals  Год назад +1

      If you're contemplating between the Simagic Alpha Mini or Simagic Alpha (15Nm) I would still go with teh Alpha Mini, because it's actually not 10Nm but 13Nm, measured multiple times by multiple people, so I don't see a point of paying that much more for extra 2Nm. If you can of course, there i the Alpha U coming with 23Nm, that would be of course very obvious upgrade, but that costs like 1.5K.
      As for the wheel, I've only handled the FX-C, I haven't used it properly on my rig yet, but I much more prefare the GT4 feel. Yes it's little bit simpler wheel, but with the 7-way switches and dual-clutches at the back you are good to go for 99% of racing. And it's 300mm that feels like a sweet spot. You are absolutely right that the GT-C at 325mm feels big for formula.
      What I would personaly do, I would go for an Alpha Mini and find someone who is selling their GT4 because they are moving to FX for cheap. Even some shops now have big discounts on them, and I can't express enough how amazing wheel it is. That way you would get THE best bang for your buck and see if you need more power and move to Alpha U.
      What is your current setup?
